HP Envy TS M7 20 Notebook, try a clean reinstall

I bought my laptop from my friend and now I want to do a clean reinstall of the Win OS 8.

My Question: should I get a product key if re-install Win 8 assuming that the operating system has been pre-installed

-the default value of the plant will again all programs provided with laptop original

-Trying to change administrator, I could not because he requested a check of the email, which is not

more active, have I need this info to do a re-install.

-do I have to make a return to the top of the BONE before the reinstall.

I know that these questions should probably before, but please bear with me as I'm new to this.

need me a product key if re-install Win 8 assuming that the operating system has been pre-installed?

No you do not.

the default value of the plant will again all programs original came with the laptop?

Yes, it will be

Trying to change administrator I couldn't that he requested a check of the email, which is no longer active, will I need this info to make a re-install?

Talk with the activation of Windows Service and see this:

I have to make a return to the top of the BONE before the re - install?

I advise you to make a backup of the image.

  • Get a "0 x 80070057" failed to format Windows error when I try to clean up the format!

    Hi guys...

I have a Windows 7 system that has a 250 GB Western Digital SATA... I have not used this system as 4-5 months... Recently, I wanted to format install the system, so I used my CD of Installation of Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 to try a cleaning... I removed the previous partitions and let the installation program to create new partitions. "However, when I choose to format the newly created partition (so that I can install Windows on it in the next step), I get the error ' 0 x 80070057" Windows 7, who told me that it cannot format the drive.

I also tried to use the utility diskpart to clean everythingfirst and then do try formatting by using diskpart. Yet once, I get the same error.

To test is that the drive is defective or not, I have ran Seatools v2.23 BACK Seagate (excellent tool for testing hard drive!) to test the drive. I made short and long tests, and the two tests taken without reporting disk problems.

I also found a guide about this error Windows, but what it suggests, that's what I first place anyway, if it does not really help. Here is the guide in any case: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2476568

So, what's the problem here then?

  • Envy-15: Downgrade new notebook with Windows to Windows 7 (drivers) 10

Hi, I just bought a new laptop with 10 Windows preinstalled as the base OS.

For various reasons, I want to upgrade to Windows 7. I have an authentic copy of the retail of Windows 7 with a valid license key. What I really need is drivers for Windows 7. I prefer to do this by creating a separate partition, but I'm open to a full erase of the disk.

I've tested. I created a new partition, installed Windows 7 (it is not drive C). I immediately found the drivers to be a major issue. Much of the original Win 10 drivers will be not even install on Windows 7. Some keys, such as the USB controller and the graphics are not found. Windows Update does not have both. Thus, for example, nothing is detected when I connect via a USB port. Another problem is that when I started in Windows 10, he couldn't restore anything from the recovery partition D. I don't know if I made a mistake, Windows is confused, or what happened. In this spirit, I restored the image of the system from a backup made a week in advance.

(P.s. I know that Win 10 drivers are available on the Web site. If you install Windows 7 after that Win 10 is a problem (for example 7 not seen the C drive, I am open to wipe the disk entirely, starting with 7, which makes my base OS, if I can get drivers, then add 10 win.) Also, I have a valid license key to win 10 outside this new laptop and really have the driver support. I have several system images and history of files is active, so I can return if necessary.)

    I'd appreciate any help!

    Thank you

  • Envy of HP dv7 Notebook: failed to create the recovery disk.

I have a HP ENVY Notebook dv7. When the computer was new, I tried to make a record of retrieving the value. When finished, I would check out (DVD - R) discs, I would get a message saying that disks has not written correctly. I tried three different packs records, always the same. Called HP Support and they went through the process with me, always the same failure. I was told not to worry if I still have the discs because of an accident, they would send them to me for free because they have a record. Now, I'll use this computer mostly on the internet and think I should have just in case records. Called HP and was not said no record, no free drives and it will cost a lot to make them help the discs. Is it possible to make records or put the info on a hard drive? I don't know if the computer thinks that I made a copy or not, because the copies, I thought I was doing were defective.

    Try the following.

Close HPSA, restart the computer, and then download the update of the Bios from the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp75001-75500/sp75141.exe

Once the download is complete, close other open windows and programs, then open your download folder and double-click the installer to start the process.  The real flash will occur when you restart the machine - do not interrupt it somehow, even if nothing seems to be happening for a while - when it is finished, the machine will load in Windows as usual.

Note:  If the update option arises as being 'blocked on this device', you will need to contact HP in this regard.
