HP envy wireless

After the reconstruction of the hard drive of my hp envy which is more than a year, I have no problems with the wireless connection.  It works very well, but woke up this morning and it is said that the wireless is not connected.  I'm no computer expert, but I think he's on the button is lite upward.  any ideas or make me a lemon?

You can use this document to help you verify the configuration and settings of your wireless network:

The configuration and the problems of Internet connection on a wireless network with Windows 7

  • Alternatively, you can get away with just restart your router.  Sometimes, after a reconstruction, things get tangled and a reboot to recover a 'good configuration. "

Enter your system, your operating system information and scroll down...

Search for "Network driver" category of your wireless network - you will need to know what wireless card you have if there is more than one entry... Look in your control panel > Device Manager > network adapters

Hello, for some reason, my keyboard is not working whenever I'm doing a restart. Or turn on for the first time after a stop down. The only keys that work are the volume keys.

But if I restart by connection or desktop screen, the keyboard works fine.

The batteries are not dead, I replaced the.

Any info would be great. Thank you.

I have HP Envy Beats all-in-one.  Mouse worked, keyboard no longer works unless after withdrawal of the driver for keyboard then rebooted.  Would work for this next boot, solved by disabling fast-start-up in power options, the theory is computer starts jumped linking or simply crossed it faster that the keyboard can answer.  Hope this helps you.

My wireless mouse pointer becomes erratic within 10 min. It becomes very difficult and frustrating make the pointer land where I want to 'click '.  It is very well after a fresh reboot or reinstallation of USB receiver that is hard to get to my desire to 23. I moved rcvr on slot USB high speed side rt of the monitor, no help. I looked at 17 min video CV, changed batteries, I think I've tried all the suggestions, but this problem will not go away.   I have to replace some hardware or software?  I had this all-in-one for 5 to 6 months.  Had this prob for about a week. Thank you for your help.

My 'erratic' 23 Envy wireless mouse is back to normal operation. Sorry, no short answer, but my exasperating prob was solved when I went to hp.com support. I entered a chat session and had the chance to get a very good expert. I gave permission to remote control review and update my pc. He did a lot of upgrade and I could see the windows upgrade mechanism has been broken; He knew what to do & fixed it for several upgrades failed.  Then the HP Support Assistant App was broken, he fixed that too, fairly quickly.  Finally, when all the updates and update mech were ok, it uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse drivers.   My wireless mouse is now very well.

  • HP ENVY 5646: Wireless ID on printer

Why, when I check the summary wireless on my envy of 5646 it identifies the hostname as "Lesleys-iPad"? Is it a security issue that I have to correct, and if so, how?

    Hello

The summary of the device see the host name of the NIC printer itself, not to your router.

Your router must be among the SSIDS, not as a host name.

If you are having problems with wireless, print a Test report wireless in wireless menu and attach a scan of it to get a better understanding.

  • HP ENVY 17-j005tx Notebook PC: network card wireless Intel N 2230 sporadic but recurrent connection Wi Fi problems. Which driver to use?

I have an old HP Envy computer of 12 months with a 2230 Intel® Centrino® wireless-N wireless adapter.

In the last 6 months, the PC has suffered sporadic but recurrent problems of WiFi connection with the failure of the connection or drop-outs. The PC connects to the router, but fails to obtain or maintain an IP address. It has been with Intel driver version 15.12.0.6, pilot day February 25, 2014, installed by Windows Update, on June 16, 2014.

When I contacted HP support on January 9, 2015, I have been instructed to download the software from the HP Web site. This driver has an HP publication date of 1 November 2013 and installed the driver version 15.10.0.12 with a release date of June 25, 2013.

Updated Windows ran later that day there and I wanted to install the drivers updated Windows 8.1

    • Important update - update the Intel driver for Intel® Centrino® wireless-N 2230 published on 17/10/2013, 2.4 MB
    • Optional update - update the Intel driver for Intel® Centrino® wireless-N 2230 published 07/10/2014, 101.9 MB

If Windows Update has been set to automatic the provided HP driver would likely have immediately deleted by Microsoft update.

The Intel Web site offers the 15.14.0.1 or 15.14.0.2 driver version as the last driver for the adapter N-2230 but Intel "recommends obtain you and use the software provided by the manufacturer of your laptop. (even if it's more than a year to date)

It's very complicated to have the latest version on the Intel site, older versions installed by Microsoft Update and even older versions on the HP website.

If the user must install the OEM version, how the user to treat Microsoft Update overwriting the OEM version?

    Which driver should be used?

Why didn't the driver software HP Support was updated to resolve known issues with this wireless card driver?

HP would provide only a pilot who has been tested on the device that is installed on a particular type of material.

Intel would release the driver first, but then it would take some time for HP to the test pilot and release it to the public for use on their units. Some customizations can apply in order to get the driver to work on the material.

  • HP Envy 27 - p099na: Intel Wireless Display

Your desktop PC specifications say nothing about Intel WiDi constituting a trait. Of the specification, it is not part of all of the function that the Office was delivered with.

  • Want 7640 printer all-in-one: Envy 7640 Wnidows 10 teacher 64-bit wireless configuration

On the occasion of the installation wireless worked. However, every time there is an update to Windows or the DSL router is restarted the printer converts fax only or is not at all.  In 20 years I never found such a little messy feature.  Latest version of the software downloaded to the printer HP (full version), uninstalled all HP printer software, run Registry eval and cleaned up all references to the HP printer.  Restarted PC and printer.  With the help of the installation on the PC window I have reset default and then set up wireless for my LAN wireless option.  He finds an IP address on the local network.

When I ran Setup complete, concludes that the starting unit to address IP and then dish moved.  A cut a firewall protection and virus.  Good God!  I can't believe that HP could not do better than that!

It's hilarious.  Here's how it works.  Abandon the software HP Envy 7640.  Better, we can say is that it is lame.  Using Windows 10 ability to locate a network device and add it.  After days of fighting with the software really badly written that's all it took!

    Hello:

I mean by this is... I think that your laptop has only a single antenna, and that is why the reception is so low.

For some reason, HP wants to include only 1 antenna wireless in notebooks with this model Realtek wireless card.

All wireless cards have two terminals to connect antennas to-including yours.  A main terminal as well as an auxiliary terminal.

The second wire connects to the auxiliary Terminal to improve wireless range and a reception.

So basically your card is only half the reception should be with a single antenna.

  • Want to M6 1225DX: updated HP Envy M6 1225DX wireless adapter

I'm looking to upgrade the card wireless in my HP Envy M6 1225DX.  Here are a few features on the machine:

    Product # D1E93UA #ABA

    CPU: Intel i5 - 3230M @ 2.6GHz

    RAM: 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM

    GPU: Intel HD graphics 4000

Wireless: Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wifi adapter

OS: Windows 7 x 64 (I know that HP does not support this)

    BIOS version: F.26

The wireless adapter that is currently installed (Ralink RT5390R) only supports SISO and the download speed tops out around 18-20Mbps.  I'm looking to replace this card with a card compatible MIMO and bluetooth, for example a 7260 Intel.

I read on several forums that HP basically whitelists some cards wireless in BIOS.  I have reviewed the maintenance manual and it has a list of compatible cards I listed below:

    • Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 9485GN and 3012 adapter Bluetooth 4.0
    • Atheros 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 Bluetooth adapter Combo WB225
    • Broadcom 4313GN 1 × 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter 802.11b/g/n 20702
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N WLAN 6230
    • MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter and adapter Mediatek Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1 × 1 Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter
    • RALink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001 1 × 1
    • Atheros AR9565 1 × 1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 802.11b/g/n
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 WLAN for the Japan only

These are the only cards I can run in this machine?  I also read somewhere that HP no wireless adapter like whitelisting in the BIOS, and if that's the case, would a BIOS update fixed this problem?

I've been watching the 7260 Intel, but I don't know if it would work and would not order it and he has no job.   This adapter could work in this phone or I am I'm confined to the list given in the service manual?  If I'm limited to the above list, no matter what recommendatins to the adapter that will give me what I'm looking for?

Basically, what I'm looking for in a wireless adapter is:

    • Supports A/B/G/N and AC at 2.4 Ghz and 5.8 Ghz bands.
    • More high speed possible
    • Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1/2 height Mini PCIe form factor

    Thanks for the help

    Hello

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your m6-1225dx HP ENVY Notebook and supported wireless cards. Yes, these are the cards that are supported in your notebook and fortunately will work with your graphics card and processor.  Some say that just restore BIOS to factory default help if you decide to go with your choice.

You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings.

    Thank you.

  • Wireless network not always connects successfully on HP ENVY 5644

Just bought a new HP ENVY 5644 device to replace an existing of my HP Photosmart C4380. The new device for the first time and ran through the initial configuration using the built-in touch screen. Everything seemed to be going easily and smoothly, without any error and even connected to my home wireless network on the first attempt.

I then tested the printing and scanning of the characteristics, which each provided extremely pleasant results and good performances on the wireless network.

Unfortunately, this is where my story ends happy and boredom begins!

After initially set up the device in a temporary location, I've properly turned off to transfer it to its final resting position. Even if it were in another room of the House, it was actually closer to the router of network wireless itself. In reality, we are talking about a very significant distance that the 2 rooms are in fact back to back each. So, now with her in her new role and connected to a power outlet, I turned on the device once more. The powers of the unit upwards and the blue light that indicates the status of the wireless connection, continually flashes blue rather than a blue fixed solid. Blinking blue indicates that the device is unable to establish a wireless network connection. If I use the touch screen to investigate the matter, I think there seems to be an authentication problem and the details of the message are bad password (WPA) wireless entered.

Why has this happened? Nothing has changed, everything that I've done is not move the printer in another room!

Believing that the touch screen tells me, I decided to run the Wireless Setup Wizard once more to confirm the wireless network settings. As expected, he manages to find my home wireless network without any problems and then requests the password key has been entered. I go so it correctly and press on apply. It is at this time that the device tries to connect to the network, that unfortunately crashes, return the above error message. However, I know that I entered the password correctly, in fact, there is an option to display the password that you entered before attempting the connection, which, while they inspected, confirms that the password that I entered is good!

Then why does it not connect?

I tried to turn on the wireless feature, turn off several times via the touch screen interface, but this has not solved the problem. The only way to get the connection Wireless online is to keep turning on the unit, switch off again until the wireless light solid blue. Without apparent reason, wireless seems to have a mind of its own, only connected to my wireless network when she wants to!

I have no problems with many other wireless network devices I have in my house, from several manufacturers and even located in other parts of the House. I know that my wireless network is good and I know that my password wireless like the back of my own hand, so there is no chance of which is incorrect. It is purely a problem for the HP ENVY 5644 itself, device which can be confirmed by the fact that if I turn it on and turn it on again, it could decide to establish a successful connection even if I have nothing to its own network configuration, or my own configuration of wireless itself.

Ask yourself whether or not it might be of some obscure incompatibility between my wireless router and the HP ENVY 5644, I tested the unit with another router to spare than I, who was also from another manufacturer but unfortunately the result is the same, the HP ENVY 5644 connected only when he wanted and would establish only the network connection Wireless when switching on the device. If the connection fails, it will never connect to the network unless you turn off and turn it back on, which may require even been attempted several times before success. Once connected, it seems to stay connected and then works really well.

This behavior is not acceptable and I'm sure that's not too healthy for the device itself to be turned on and off again at these short cycles. Otherwise, overall, as I said earlier, I am very happy with the product.

Can someone at HP tell me why this is happening or suggest what I need to seek or consider.

Talked with HP engineer the other day. I explained to him what was going on and they suggested to do a factory reset and then set the IP address manually rather than using DHCP from my router wireless home.

I wasn't too happy about it as everything has been well installation and work, except for the WiFi do not reconnect all power over. I also had a go better, adding a DHCP reservation in my router by using the MAC address of the printer. Indeed, it is the best of both worlds that the printer will be given the same IP address by the router whenever he asks for one.

We agreed to leave things as they are rather than the reset of the printer and I would now turn off the printer every day. For the last 4 days, the printer has reconnected to WiFi at all power over. This is excellent news.

I have a call on request with HP in the coming days to discuss how things are going. If everything continues as it is, it would seem that to specify that a wireless router DHCP reservation solves the problem. While I wait for the next call to HP, I continue to power on / off power to the printer on a daily basis.

    Watch this space!
