  Hi - I have updated my PC Windows 8.1 times back and had no problem with simplepass initially. I then suddenly could not drag my finger and sign in.

  I read through some of the conversations are realize others has had a problem too and saw some suggestions to resolve and follow up and was able to download an updated driver and it worked fine until last week when even once it has stopped working.

  I am disappointed that HP has NOT solved which I think should have been done long back because people are complained about beginning of 2013 (or before).

  I am at a loss to know what do it because, I depended on using this for a lot of my web sites etc. (keep my password in place course), but now I can't use my finger print recognition to make and need to type my master password every time.

  I bought this computer for ease of managing my security but HP made me lose confidence in their products, given the battle I faced.

  I'm worried about installing any software updated as indicates it a solution because I'm not sure it will solve the problem without deleting my files from data password etc.

  The HP team can advise you and if possible contact me directly for this problem.

  I chose to discuss this pubically because I think that HP is lying on I think it's a problem they have NOT delt with more proactive in reaching out to the loyal customers like me.

  Laptop and having problems with the software HP SimplePass Identity Protection could not initialize correctly. I read all the patches in the post previous that you me bound. Thanks for all the information, it is very useful to know what you've already tried.

  First thing I would check enable biometric support in this document.

  If this does not help, I would say to uninstall HP SimplePass and reinstalled the latest version for Windows 8.1.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv7-2170us Notebook. I can not connect to any wireless network.

  The wireless button is orange. When I click it, it be said off or disabled. It will not turn back.

  Hi Julie,.

  Safe mode is where Windows load with the bare minimum of drivers and services and may be a useful option if you suspect some kind of driver conflict.  I couldn't say for sure, but in this mode of loading probably allowed the driver of the wireless adapter to be configured correctly (another driver running when Windows loaded normally probably prevented this).  Good to hear everything is working now

  I think to buy a HP ENVY Notebook dv7-7203ea but I can't seem to find any reviews on this subject. Comments I only find mention the 'Pavilion' or the ' Envy 17' is the Envy 17 the same as I look. "

  If you tell the AuthenTec link for the 6.0.100.620 old version of HP SimplePass, it is probably closed.  AuthenTec has been picked up by Apple last year, and they are «not more»  The drivers are still in the area - the name depends on the original software / driver source code.

  Did you install all the necessary drivers, firmware and/or software Intellisoft of the mouse and then restart?

  You have good batteries in the mouse?

  Verify that the mouse is compatible with working computer and your operating system?

  Have you checked the mouse icon in the control panel (after all of the above) to a setting to activate?

  Contact the vendor of your computer and see if you need to update something else.  When I installed my wireless mouse, it wouldn't work until I updated the touchpad, the firmware drivers and.

  I have a dell xps m1710 equipped with windows vista 32 bit.

  Conveniently enough my warranty on my oh-so-wonderful, oh-so-reliable computer has expired two days ago.

  All of a sudden I can't connect to the internet via an ethernet cable. I connect it and the link lights do not go.

  In network and sharing Center under manage network connections I have only the ability to connect via wireless (which works fine), the connection to the Local network is not there.

  In Manager devices, under networks, my Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG network connection works very well, however the other pilot, Microsoft 6to4 #3 has a yellow exclamation point and gave me an error code 31.
