HP Envy5530 series - HP64C25A: HP scanning and Capture does not work

Recently my HP Scan application capture & has stopped working. So far the application worked perfectly. I tend to use it rarely, so the first cause can occur some time in the past weeks. The printer is connected to my laptop via a wifi connection & it prints perfectly.

As part of my diagnosis, I deleted the application & loaded the last version from the store Windows. Unfortunately the application continues to refuse to do. When I try to run the application using the functionality of Capture of Documents - I get this error message "General failure."

I tried to run HP Print & Scan Doctor (V4.9) to solve the problem of scanning. I note that this request when I try to run it seems not to complete his routine & may appear to 'work' for more than 20 minutes (I dropped & closed by using the Task Manager).

I can use the scanner using the HP e - All in One Printer, but of course this will provide only a scan of a single page.

Any help would be most warmly accepted.

    Thanks for getting back to me. I'm looking for some more information to better understand exactly the problem.

    When you have completed each step in the troubleshooting guide, I proposed:

    • Were there problems uninstall and reinstall the printer driver and software? If there are errors or problems, please describe them.
    • Disable your firewall there a difference at all?
    • You can scan using paint with out without the firewall running?
    • Did the job analysis around the work? What were the results when you tried them?
    • You can make copies of copies and color black and white?
    • You have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet, avoiding the power and surge bars?
    • How the printer is connected to your computer (WiFi, Ethernet, USB)?
    • Have you tried another connection?

    I just got my new growth.  I'm very excited to this topic but already running into problems.

    To this end, I didn't use Windows Media Center. Why you n t use other recording applications. I think that everyone is better than Windows Media Center.

    Welcome to the HP community!

    I understand that you have a problem with scanning to E-mail app on e-all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 7520. I'd love to help you with this.

    Here are the steps I suggest to try everything first:

    Network Power Reset:

    We'll leave the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router.), and then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

    Restore the default settings of the network and reconnect:

    1. on the front panel of the printer, press your up wireless icon

    2. Select settings.

    3. Select restore default network settings.

    4 turn on your printer.

    5. once it is initialized to save, press the wireless icon again.

    6. Select settings.

    7. Select Wireless Assistant , and then follow the prompts to enter the details of your wireless network.

    8. try to activate the web services again.

    Configure a manual DNS for your printer:

    You mentioned that you have already tried defining a manual DNS for your printer, DNS that you used. If you have not already tried so, I suggest to use primary like DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the secondary DNS.

    If your web services connected, even if scanning to email does not work, you may need to reset the web services on the device.

    NOTE: Reset web services clears the custom email ePrint you have configured on your printer. Please be aware that if you have a personalized email ePrint, after doing this, you will need to configure again and will not be able to use the same address.

    1. press the Web Services button on the front panel.
    2. tap on settings.
    3. pressremove web services"and confirm deletion.
    This will bring you to the homepage.
    4. press on the icon Web Services , once again on the printer and go through the installation process.

    5. once the web service has been activated again, try to configure your scan to E-mail

    • Try a forced reboot: hold down the House and on the buttons until the unit turns off. Ignore the cursor off if it appears.   • pages started freezing, force to quit and restart does not work

    Try to do the homework, no good with computers. I used screen split pages with safari, then I'll click to pages and the cursor does not blink, and I can ty click on something, but nothing helped. I even try to click in Safari and who does not work either. I have to then press the task or what you call it, force quit applications, then restart. It started just randomly and really annoying, see I need to deal with all my classes AP. Pages for this when alone as well.

    Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

    I had the chance to speak skupe customer and fix us the problem.

    I use Skype of UAE, here Skype been blocked before but now they open the Skype Web site we also make Skype-to-Skype calls, because of this port blocking the call phones and mobile does not work.

    So I used VPN over come this problem. Now I can make the Skype call to any mobile and lanphone.
