Tuner TV G20 without windows media edition

Hello

After buying my laptop I wiped out operating system real and installed XP Pro (took my 5 hrs to create unattended installation of XP with drivers Toshiba raid!) anyway, everything is ok wait TV tuner! System recognizes TV tuner and its mpeg decoder, decoder works ok but doesn t part tuner, I called sup tech. They say that XP is not supported! "It s a large well we put t want to try to solve the problem" anyway I ve downloaded WinDVR, but without success, tried a lot of apps but none of them didn t work.
Is there any one who got around similar question?

Hello

I really can't give you a good answer, but I really don t understand why you don t want to use WMCE. Qosmio G20 is great multimedia machine, and AFAIK WMCE is the same as the Pro version.

In any case if you discover which application will work correctly please let us know. This information can be very useful.

Good luck!

There is a great thread to

Unfortunately, it looks like the only solution people have found is to replace the

I don't know if it's the hardware failure or something else, but looking at this

  • Trying to create a playlist without Windows Media Player?

Is it possible to create a playlist without Windows Media Player? I VideoLan if that's any help.

Here's the question: I did the test.m3u file, which is placed inside the folder "Music" with the following content.

    #EXTM3U
    1\test.mp3

If test.m3u exists in 'Music' and 'test.mp3' also available in 'music '. However, when I access the "Playlists" menu inside the Sansa player and then click on the 'TEST' playlist, it reads as "EMPTY". Why is this? Is it just that he can't find the MP3 file or have I done something wrong with where I placed everything?

    Any help is appreciated.

I have successes by creating playlists m3u on my Sport Clip with music files organized in several subfolders using VLC Media Player.

First of all, I use Win Explorer of files to create subfolders on my Sport Clip (internal or external memory) to the title of the music. Then I copy my mp3 files selected from my HD in different subfolders of music on my Sport Clip

Then, I use VLC Media Player to load the mp3 files on my drive in the VLC playlist window.

Can I use "Media-> Save Playlist to file-. > Save it as "abc123.m3u" and save the new playlist in one of the subfolders music on my player.   Then I can use music mode or map view on my Sport Clip to select the playlist and listen to music files through all subfolders.

Individual tuner manufacturers set their requirements so it is best to look at the cards, then check that their specifications.

    Hello

What is the TV tuner and FM Radio tuner? Is it a software or a difficult, how to install them on the computer? I can buy from a retailer. How will I know which is for my pc.

Please help me to answer the question.

    Respectfully,.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community forums.

According to the description, you need to know more about the Tv tuner and tuner Radio (FM) for Windows Media Center.

To listen to the FM radio in Media Center, you will need a tuner FM connected to or installed on your computer and an antenna connected to the tuner to receive a signal. FM tuners are very similar to TV tuners in fact, many TV tuner cards have a built in FM tuner.

I can't update my laptop that my uncle gave me, I tried from LITTLE, but I get "error 2: the system cannot find the specified file" and it's one of the problems I have among others, so I decided just to reinstall Windows xp media edition BUT I n 'T HAVE THE CD! but I don't have my product keys until I do? Please don't say I have to buy a CD? I already tried Windows Update (but he fails), Trouble shooting, renaming bat and download of updates from my desktop but they always failure I go to Windows update to see which updates, I need and well it's like update 49 need then I reinstall just enough, if that's possible with a CD?

Backup of personal data (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then do a format and clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

  • How do I share files on Xbox 360 without Windows Media Player or 3rd Party applications

Windows 7 sharing media files to the xbox 360 without media player

I know that I can use Media Player 12 in windows 7 to share files on xbox 360 using the libraies, but I used to be able to share without media player and I would like to be able to do it again, but I can't seem to get my shared folders will appear on xbox. I don't know if I need to use folders to share public or not, but someone has all the answers on this for me?

I use my xbox 360 to watch the video content streamed from my PC pretty much every night through a continuous connection to the xbox. You do not need Media Player or any other 3rd party application to video media IF THEY ARE THE RIGHT SIZE for a XBOX, you just need the PC configured for videos, turned on and networked with the xbox

It is simple and quick, and depending on the content, there are two methods that I use:

    (1) as Etzel42 has described - in Windows 7 Control Panel > network and sharing Center, go to Advanced sharing > Media Streaming, select "chose the flowing media options...» ». If the Xbox 360 is running and put in place on the same (Local) network as the PC it will be displayed here but the value "blocked." Just change "Authorized" and click ok. (If you do not see the Xbox 360 listed here then the Xbox and PC cannot see each other on the network. You must address this issue before anything else).

Once that streaming media is running, the video files you want to share with the Xbox is in addition to your video library. This can be done in en allant going to the computer, right-click on the 'Vidéos' library, go to 'Properties', then include the video or files to share. As a double check that all video files are available for the Xbox, open Media Player and see if he can see all the files/folders that you added. Close Media Player now, you do not need it works for watching videos on the xbox

Now, go to the Xbox, go to the dashboard in my Xbox and video library. You should see the name of your PC as a selection. Open it and then open the folders that you added to PCs video shops and once again, if media files are in the right play on the Xbox, watch now format!

    (2) configure the Xbox Extender and Windows Media Center, and then run Media Center on the Xbox, this will allow you to play any kind of media format on the Xbox that you can play on the PC. It is ideal to play the Xbox formats cannot be opened natively too, it's pretty darn picky.

In both methods you have not need of any application is running on the PC. Simply be turned on and available for the Xbox via the network. The Xbox will do the rest. In fact, one nice feature of the library on the Xbox 360 is that if your PC is in standby (Sleep), Media Center will wake up the PC.

    MEDIA CENTER TV tuner

We took the tour get served today and the technician could not find anything wrong, that he hung the Tower while I was in the store and everything worked very well he played TV programs that we previously recorded on the computer. Hi Kimberly MacDonald,.

    1. What is the full error message that you receive?

I suggest that you reconfigure the TV signal in the media center of Windows and check if it works.

one) to configure the tuner for use with Windows Media Center, on the Start screen, navigate to tasks.

    (b) click settings, click TV, and then click Set Up TV Signal.

First of all, there is not - and has never been - anywhere to download a legal copy of any version of Windows XP...

Second, Windows XP Media Center Edition was available as a pre-installed OEM operating system (for example, Dell, HP, Gateway, etc.).  If you wanted a computer with MCE, you should have bought one with MCE.  In the unlikely case where your second-hand computer comes from an OEM and it came originally with MCE (look at the sticker on the box), it is possible, at a distance, the same manufacturer can provide the installation media necessary for a price.

If the video card in the computer is able to drive the "big flat screen", then you have nothing else (assuming that the computer meets other material).  See http://www.ehow.com/info_8204776_needed-netflix-streaming-work.html and http://www.ehow.com/how_7561774_stream-netflix.html

A few years ago, I built a system which consists of MS Windows Media Center Edition.  Recently, the hard drive failed.  I replaced the drive with a 1 TB Seagate Barracuda SATA drive.  Strangely, I can't reinstall MS Windows Media Center.  To clarify... with MS Windows Media Center cd in the drive, the installation went well.  The hard drive has been formatted and that the CD-ROM files have been hard disk messages were present.  The next step was a reboot by MS Windows cd.  This is where the installation fails. After the reboot, the Windows XP splash screen came as if the program Windows opened on your desktop.  At halfway through the splash screen, the system restarts.  Reboot forever more.  I don't know what is happening.
