HP F4480 does not correctly print labels

Whenever I try to print using Word 2007 on my HPF4480 address labels, the labels never line up correctly.  I always make sure that I correctly selects the correct margins, paper and lable #.  I have reset the printer and made the alignments and nothing seems to work.  Does anyone have a solution?

Just having the same problem with a newly purchased Deskjet 1000 and have found my answer.

The printer is an American company, default size paper "letter".  But being in the United Kingdom, we use labels and A4 paper.   With normal printing, this seems to make no difference, but with labels, it bad.

I went into the properties of the printer and change the default to A4 and now labels work very well.

It's a shame that it is not in the FAQ.

My operating system is windows 7 and 10 please help.

    Hi @S3dnnie,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I was looking at the specifications of the printer HP DeskJet GT 5820 User Guide and it doesn't list legal document as a support for a type of paper supported, but if it has legal papers for a paper Type in the menu drop down, it should be able to print.

I download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor to check the printer software. This tool can diagnose and solve many problems of printing software and printer.

Please let me know how it goes or if you need further assistance.

  • OfficeJet pro 8610: Hey, Experts! 8610 does not correctly print controls

QuickBooks Pro is based on the software of the printer installed to control the printing order.  In other words, controls are loaded FACE down, with Check #1 the first to be fired, then #2 and so on.

However, even if she PULLS check #1, it displays the LAST audit of the lot.  Apparently, a recent update of the software (?) REMOVED that feature of the 8610, or so I was told.  In any case, it isn't here.  I was given of the workaround was to install Basic 64 bit software 8600 and reallocate this printer driver.  Does not work - it did not always provide the option.

Print a large NUMBER of controls.  I do the bookkeeping for the 14 divisions, all with their own accounts of cheques and that (at least for me) is a feature of CRITICISM .

One of the EXPERTS in the hope can fix, here on #HPExpertDay.

The driver for Deskjet 6980 point 8.1 of Windows has an option in the NIV for the order of the pages.  This driver is compatible with the Officejet 8610.

Looks like you are having problems printing on envelopes, pitchpot, is that correct? Well from what I found online and reading the specifications of the software product to the printer only supports four types of envelope (including #10). These types are:
  • HP 8620:8620 does not correctly print the documents: @PJL lines, scratches stuck instead of text

Just received this new HP instead HP 8600 8620. Former had some mechanical problems, as it will not load paper or stuck all the scans, well, it may be "just a wear and tear".

Then, I installed the new HP 8620, connected instead of 8600 to the LAN via a port Ethernet, a new IP assigned.

Then installed the new software on the users PC.

Windows XP test page was printed allright, but then...

Random MS Word 2007 documents will not print. There is a page with @PJL GAME JOB NAME = "Microsoft Word", @PJL lines of COMMENTS and the second page with a few scratches distorted instead of text.

More interesting, it is - sometimes, it prints to the right. The same document, the same PC, the user-only sending out to print again and voila - document done right.

    Any suggestions?

    I'm having the same problem.

I'm on Windows 10 & Word 2007. The problematic files contained Hebrew characters in the file name. Rename the file to a name that contains only English letters solved the problem, but this isn't a work around convinient. HP should provide the update of the driver.

It happened with the default driver that windows installed 10 automatically and complete driver, I downloaded at HP.

    An update:

Called HP support. They told me to find the IP address of the printer and then go to the Control Panel, the printer settings and to add a printer via the IP address, but not to install the driver automatically to add manually in a list.

The name of the driver is "driver of HP Deskjet PCL3 class" (use as default printer).

Yes, it's Deskjet, Officejet and its "HP Deskjet PCL3 class driver ' and not 'HP Deskjet PCL3 class Driver2.

    That fixed the problem.

HP, please update the original drivers.

  • does not correctly print the pdf document

My letterhead of the pdf is printed at the top of the page and at the bottom of the page for a 8/12 x 11sized paper.  When I print on the Laser Jet Pro CM1415fnw, printing at the bottom of the page prints actually halfway to the top of the page.  But when I use another HP printer (Laser Jet CP1215), printing is displayed exactly as it should.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  • D110 does not correctly print PDF files

When you print from an email PDF attachment on an iPad, some lines are pressed together and are unreadable, but most of the lines of print perfectly.  Any suggestions?

    Hello stutenn,

If this is the only case who liked the lines of a document together, there are some things that need to be addressed with this file or program.  If this happens when you print all the time, the rollers on your printer should be cleaned.

A hardware problem, you can restart your iPad for the messaging application can recharge, it could be a problem with the way in which the program sends the information.

In addition, the file might have been saved with different dimensions that you want to print, then your printer is trying to adjust a document of legal size on a piece of letter paper size. I would recommend downloaded the HP ePrint home and Biz application, to see if the same problem occurs when you open the file inside this app. You can click on the link below to access the app.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/products/smart-phones-handhelds-calculators/mobile-apps/app_details.HTML?app=TCM:245 - 1044333 & platform = tcm:245 - 1044335

You can also have a third-party application which can AirPrint with PDF files, click on the link below to see a list of applications capable of AirPrint.

  • Printer C7283 text print does not correctly

    Hello

This morning, I tried to print on my new windows machine 8 and nothing won't print on the paper. After installing the software again and do diagnostic tests included in the HP Solution Center, and then he managed to print the letter, but a few sentences where not correctly printed (I mean he had white lines in it.). Also the Self Test Page Diagnostoc was not readable.what will not. Also I tried the printing align attribute and it will until the last part is to say these two birds print and then it gives me a message on my printer console Align has failed. I also changed my black cartridge. but no luck. Please help me I am very desperate!

    1. number and product name

    HP Photosmart C7283 all-in-one

2 operating system installed (if applicable)
    Windows 8

It seems to me that your new ink was not registered or maybe the black part of the print head is clogged.  Alignments fail when the ink is not printing.  I understand your printer not print black ink even if you have a new ink cartridge, but I'd like to as you follow the instructions on what to do if you get a "misalignment" error message on the printer because this document covers a large number of measures which would not be separate documents in the case.

The best way to narrow down the exact problem you are having is by going to the Setup menu (key button) and going to the "Print report" section and by printing a 'self-test report.  This report will tell you exactly what ink cartridge is out if no.  If the ink prints on this page then, it may be something to do with the computer or its connection.

Read and try to clean the print head by going to the Setup menu (key), by selecting 'Tools', then 'Cleaning print head' If you print this test page and your black is still out.  Other error messages appear before you changed the ink cartridge?  For example, have you seen a message like "Out of Ink" and that's why you changed the ink?  I hope that I can help you!

  • DeskJet 1512: Deskjet 1512 print does not correctly chosen size

When I choose to print an A4 photo size the last 1/2 inch is missing from the picture? Lenovo windows 10 laptop running

    Hello

The Deskjet 1512 does not support printing without such margins listed in the paper handling section:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?OID=5285093#! tab = specifications

Minimum bottom margin is 0.57 inch, the material must not exceed these margins that you will find listed in "specifications of paper output > section of the print margins:"

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-DeskJet-1510-all-in-one-printer-series/5157551/model/5385180/document/c03775352/

You will need to resize the print job to supply the printable area, to get a game of margins even the top and bottom of the margins like 0.57 inches.

  • New C310 while a printer does not print does not correctly

I have a new printer C310.  When I installed the printer, everything worked very well.  I have not used the printer for two days.  Does not now print.  I tried to align the cartridges and it fails.  I followed the instructions to check the cartridges, replace them again in the printer and unplug the printer.  I still can not align cartridges and I just get streaks of color when I print.  Any ideas what to do or should I return the printer.  Not sure why it worked the night fist and now will not.  One last thing, I put various paper and it's recycled paper.  It would make a difference?

This looks like a firmware issue. It is possible that the firmware update has failed. If you have not given the unit try the following steps:

    Install a firmware update

Looking for a firmware update that could help solve the problem:

    1. On the product control panel, tap the Setup icon ().
    2. Support on the Web .
    3. Tap the updates .
    4. Touch of the product updates .
    5. Tap Yes to update. The update can take 10 to 20 minutes. Do not turn off the printer until the update is completed. The printer will stop and automatically start up.

  • HP 8600: HP 8600 does not correct tray

Hello. I'm having trouble with my HP 8600 is not pulling from the correct tray. This is a recent problem that everything was working properly until a few days ago. I have an accessory to two tray with tray #1 used for special dimensions (photos and envelopes) and standard #2 to 8.5X11paper tray.  I have the default to tray #2 and locked bin #1 in my settings (#1 on the top tray, tray # 2 down). However, when I send a print job for normal letter format, he tries to send the job to use the Tray #1. I can get around this by changing the trays, but it is a real pain and much slower. I checked all software and firmware is up to date. I hope someone has a solution for this problem.

    Hi @Desertboy,

Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I have seen your post on how your printer HP Officejet pro 8600 does not correct status bar. I'm happy to help with this problem!

Follow these steps to change the print settings by default for all printing from the desktop of Windows 8.

    1. Right click or touch and hold the bottom left of the screen to open the menu. In the menu, click or tap on the Control Panel, then click on or type printers and display devices.

    2. Right click or tap and hold the icon of the printer () for your printer, and then click or tap Print Preferences.

    3. Select your new default print settings, and then click or tap on OK.

Source: change of print settings (Windows 8).

I would use these settings to set the default to tray 2 for plain paper. So if you want to print to Tray 1, you can change the settings manually. Or, you can add the same printer again in the devices Panel and printers and together this is the default for Tray 1 for specialty paper and rename it to 8600 (Tray 1) as an example.
