  Alright. You can try to control your system and see if it will produce freeze any error, momentary, or everything that happened around a minute before or after the sound signal will sound. Also, try to reset your BIOS to its default settings. Good luck.

  Thank you! This is what finally worked. Control Panel / sound / [tab] read / select 'Speakers'--> properties / levels. Activate the signal to be muted (or somewhere on a scale of 1 to 100). The default value is 100, this is why it is so frickin strong.

  Recently, my laptop PSM50C - MX500E Satellite has been giving me a few questions, it froze on me and I don't think a lot because it froze before.   You can disable it in the bios. F1 at the start screen, alarm, config, control, disable beep.  You can also disable the low battery alarm if you want from there.
