HP g62t-350: motherboard defective/video

black screen on native moniter but with moniter external can see.

Cannot start normally with a compatible video card, can only see the external moniter.

No, aero, but it would have normally.

Part of the video circuit is bad, I would say. If the external output was normal, I'd say you just a bad screen, but if the external output is bad, it means a bad video chip so just stop us trying to diagnose anything else.

I have a 6 yr old G62t - 350 CTO Notebook PC and I am a VERY OLD non-techie. It overheats and goes dormant. I know that the fan is shot because I get an error message saying so. I currently use a "chill mat" to keep this baby running, but I would like to know how to take out and its difficulty. Also, you may need to buy a new fan (?) and, of course, HP (and even Best Buy) say 'we have NO PARTS. " Would be really grateful for the help; older people don't throw away their 'stuff' keep us running forever... If possible. Thank YOU, TimothyT,

A computer is fundamentally different from a model "T". They get obsolete and unusable, so that you can always push a model "T" around town if you can make it work. On a laptop six year, to go on the market of third party to find the parts, but they are available. Best Buy has no idea and no room. They send all repairs laptop for a place in TX and earn money as an intermediary for such things.

First thing you need is the repair:

    Manual

"How-to" for the replacement of the fan is on p. 4-41 to 4-46. This will be a virtual "gut" of the laptop he stripping up to the motherboard and remove the motherboard. It can be done by an amateur who is able to read and follow directions and has a logical mind and memory to keep track of screws and where they are released, so they can be released. The drop-down strip isn't easy, but the real test is winding.

This is the part you need:

GL40 UMA systems (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only) 606573-001

How will I know? Your CPU is a Pentium Dual, which means that it works on the motherboard chipset low-end and it has "integrated" or "UMA" video However, I am fallible, and the intelligent way to go about the repair is to open and remove first and then buy the spare part based on what you already have. Saving a lot of feedback.

Assuming I'm located on the part you need here is:

You want to use this opportunity to eliminate there all the dust and when you go back you need to use good thermal paste applied correctly. We can find you a video well, no doubt.

Anyone can tell me where I can see a price for mothreboards and card for my laptop and then to buy it?

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for sharing this with us, but I think that everyone should be very careful using such instructions.
First disassembly laptop procedure is very delicate. Even if the statement is available, pieces can be broken off during the procedure or the statement could miss some important elements.

In addition you will always lose warranty if you'd try to disassemble the laptop.
So to me don t touch if the warranty is valid and come into contact with a local ASP.

    > What is a normal cost for this item? Is - this seller is reliable?
    > Who has already buy something?
I n t have any experience with this dealer, but the new motherboard is not a party at low prices.
However, the Toshiba ASP could provide this new mobo for you and you could also ask the price and can compare offers

Recently, I contacted Hewlett-Packard technical support with problem in my laptop HP G62t-350.

Their tech wants to take control of my laptop, so I initiated the request. Their technician is recognized and I accepted the remote control.

He kept showing "to leave, please wait...". "and we are never connected.

Last week, I contacted my ISP Comcast and, even once, they wanted to take control of my computer using TEAMVIEWER.

    We were never connected.

As you can see, there is a problem with Remote Assistance.

Can you help me to solve it?

    Thank you.

This morning I called technical support for HP and the technician fixed it:

The problem was that Usersname administrator has been corrupted:

1 - created a new usersname (HP) - tested remote access and has worked very well.

2 - deleted my original usersname

3 - recreated my original usersname - tested remote access and has worked very well.

4 - remove the new Usersname (HP)

5 - tested the remote again and worked fine.

I have the Dell Studio 1558 with ATI HD5470 graphics card. Recently I am facing sudden system shutdown. Start watch Dignostics 3900-0626 video error defective thermistor, but AIDA64 shows normal Diode GPU temperatures and rarely exceed 85 C.  Kindly let me know the fix for this problem other than the replacement of the motherboard because my system is currently out of warranty.

    Hi paramdeepsaini,

3900-0626 error is related to the bad sensor on the system board. You can remove reinstall the memory on the system and then run the hardware diagnostic tests. If you receive the same error, you will need to replace the motherboard.

  • HP Pavilion video update

I have a HP Pavilion a6600z desktop bought around 2009.

In 13 months of operation, the machine is dead / may not start.  It was determined that my added on 7200LE video card had burned.  The machine has been put on hold for a year or two, but is now in use by default motherboard running video.

I would like to add another video card to get the improved display of fonts.  However, the video slot and the slot for my Sound Blaster card are adjacent to each other and there is no game for video cards with the fan on the right side of the Board.

I am also concerned by a sufficient power for the video card as the power supply on the Pavilion is only 250 watts. I suspect maybe that's why the first map failed (that and insufficient ventilation).

Any suggestions on a low demand video card that would fit into the space?  I no longer make games and simulations (devil, at the age of 71 I have to slow down a bit).  The alternative is to give the Pavilion to local schools and buy a new/heavy deskktop.

I understand that you want to add a dedicated video card, but it doesn't have enough room to do so due to the slot of the sound card.

The image below should be for this system.

Most audio cards should be in the white slot that should provide more than enough space (even for a card that takes up two slots).  As an industry standard, you should be able to hold a single card slot in the slot of the video card. Even with a card into the PCIe X 1 slot, you should be able to hold at least a single slot video card in the system.  The next card should work with industry standard specifications.  You would need to upgrade food more likely, although a 400-500W should meet and exceed the needs of the video card for your application.

  • Pavilion p - 7 1287 c: sending digital video and audio signal from p-7 HP 1287 to HD TV

No HDMI output on the back of the computer. Ordered a KENIMBENI Pro VGA HDMI converter, VGA male to male VGA Cable and a cable of Y min stereo to 2 RCA.  Kanex output VGA to convert HDMI is HDMI to the HDMI connector on the back of the HDTV (Viera by Panasonic).  No signal on the TV.  This motherboard or video card takes by taking a digital audio and video signal and send it to the TV.  Obviously with the VGA of the monitor on the PC is turned off.

Previously, I had a cable HDMI to DVI and I had to awkwardly move the image on the monitor of the PC to HDTV, but with no sound.  Should I return the material (Kanex VGA to HDMI converter and associated cables) at B & H so that I can always go back and get a refund.

Look forward to some potential solutions, wish this PC has HDMI output, would probably make this process much easier.  First time on so I hope someone can help.

  • Windows 7: games online lag & defective live tv unstable/record live tv playback (due to changes in priorities/Planner win7?)

Since installing Windows 7 ultimate, I have 2 problems (compared to XP or even Vista):

    (1) online gaming is lag; the other players seem to move like ghosts, somehow jerky and jerky, but my ping is completely normal (low) and fps are good, too.

    (2) direct TV experience is worse now:
When I watch a dvb - t transmission and switch to another app that I have at the same time (like total Commander, instant messaging, Notepad, etc.) I hear audio clicks and get video abandonment. The same is true when I'm not watching a transmission, but when I save it. The recordings are defective (video and audio dropouts).

However, existing good records can be read without any problem, even when you switch like crazy between all sorts of substantive programmes and lots of tabs in my web browser. With these good records I get no problem whatsoever (for example: files in windows XP). It is only when I try to record something in Windows 7 that I get these questions.

I have used many different programs (from dvbviewer for progdvb for dvb dream to Windows Media Center). The problem is always the same.

This did not happen in XP, however.
Under XP, I can switch to background programs and switch between tabs in the opera 100 without being any 'clicks' or the number of drop-outs in audio/video on live television.

The same is true for Vista, although it is slightly worse than with XP.

In Windows 7, interactive use of programs seems to have a strong (and negative) impact on live TV.

My system (not aware at all, but otherwise very good work, in XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Linux):

    -Sempron 2600
    -1 GB OF RAM
    -Geforce 3 TI 200:
I know: not supported by Windows 7, BUT:
-J' also have an ATI HD4650 here, which IS supported by Windows 7
and who doesn't IS NOT IMPROVE anything!

Since my Windows 7 installation is quite recent and not yet activated, I did not install a lot, especially any antivirus that could (maybe) deteriorate the performance of the system.

Apart from live tv playback/record and games Windows 7 IS (!) quickly on my old system.

In addition, take into account that the games I'm talking about are OLD, so my geforce3ti200 is quite enough for such an old game, like quake2 or quake1. - And as I said, I also have a HD4650 well supported by the ITA which does NOT improve lag problems in games!

I tried to disable nagle algorithm (as suggested somewhere), I played with registry settings like 'systemresponsiveness '; I also disabled the multimedia class Scheduler - all these things you will find in these many threads any lag in windows 7!

Does not really - or only partially:
Deactivation of the multimedia class scheduler service help (a little) but at the price of having audio problems:
When switching between the different programs of the audio player (e.g. windows media player or vlc) has now audio dropouts that wouldn't happen when the multimedia class Scheduler service is running.

Therefore, this solution is not ideal.

Since I also tried to use wifi instead of ethernet, external sound usb instead of edge, different servers etc, and since there is that interference between the task of switching and stability of live tv, I come to this conclusion:

This must be a timer problem. Something in the Task Scheduler in windows 7 and/or priority system was changed, when comparing it to XP or Vista.

I see that there are more settings in the registry, as in:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\Tasks\Audio]

    Where it looks like:

    'Planning category '=' Medium '.
    "SFIO"="Normal priority".
    "Background only"="True".
    'Priority' = dword:00000006
    "Rate of clock" = dword:00002710
    'GPU priority' = dword:00000008
    "Affinity" = DWORD: 00000000

So I'm expecting setting could something in a different way here (?) have a significant impact...

    Last question:
Considering the number of threads (when searching via google) all delays in windows 7 games, is Microsoft aware of this problem - and Microsoft offer a fix, a hotfix or another type of solution?

    Thank you, egman

  • Pavilion HP G6 1b50us: updated HP Pavilion G6 1b50us motherboard

    Hello

I have a laptop hp pavilion 1b50us g6 and the CPU is missing

    Here are the specs.

CPU AMD Phenom II P650 Dual Core 2.6 GHz

Card mother AMD UMA graphics card

(ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series)

I'm looking in the upgrade of the motherboard, processor and graphics card.

I prefer to stay with AMD, (I use the laptop for rendering) However, to get the graph I can make the switch to intel if there is no other way.  Also, I have no preference for the processor. I hope that at least with 2.6 GHz

If anyone can help find me the motherboard just for my upgrade would be great!

The thing is that the motherboard is designed to adapt to the laptop for the motherboard cannot be separate or distinguish your laptop or maybe a series of models model. It's not like an office where motherboards are a standard form and configuration and can be easily set to current hardware or even years later. Nothing like that is possible with a laptop.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

Any motherboard that is mentioned in this manual may be installed on your laptop and designed to work with the right processor and the heat sink. You can swap memory and wireless card, etc.

So you can migrate from AMD to Intel, even theoretically. The upper part of the mark would be a processor i7 - 2620M to 2.7 ghz, then a very discreet motherboard with video 6470 M AMD. There are also some motherboards using first generation Intel Core with a slightly better video. There are also boards of AMD with separate video which can take a Quad Core or until a 3 ghz processor. Your Board of Directors may accept a Phenom II N660 to 3 GHz. Who would not alter your video chip, however.

Then we go into the cost of all this. After the back if you want to get down in the weeds on the details.

Card video NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT to my HP Pavilion m8400f Desktop computer has failed. replace the defective video card with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 video card.  Display is back, but now the computer is SUPER SLOW.  I can't get access to enough RAM to install the CD for the driver for the new card!  Tried Safe Mode - could not install the software driver on the CD.  Simple operations (such as opening Windows Explorer) is about 3 minutes.  The HP Startup Repair utility takes forever.  I want to run Norton Antivirus, but the computer is so SLOW that it takes an hour to see my desktop icons.  I put my old card back video; the graphics have been shredded as 'The Matrix' and startup performance was just as slow.  Any suggestions (in addition to buying a new computer)?  Can't the basic functions of Mode safe without the video card?

(Sigh) Given that the CPU of the computer of my 6 year old works 100% (even with only a race application), I decided to cut my losses and buy a new HP Envy 700-327c desktop PC.  In the meantime, I do backups of files from my old PC to an external hard drive; What was once taking 10 minutes is literally take 10 DAYS because the CPU is running so SLOW.  Thanks for your help.

  • Sansa crashes WMP after upgrade of the motherboard

    Hello

I recently updated my Windows Vista x 64 - motherboard, processor, video card system - and since then, I had problems with my Sansa.  Now, when I start Windows Media Player 11 (WMP) and then plug in my 8 GB Sansa, WMP closes, with the dialog box "Windows Media Player has stopped working".  No other details are given.  A similar behavior is observed when I plug into the Sansa and start WMP thereafter.  Before the upgrade, the timing was very good.

After the upgrade, I had to re - activate Windows and the parameters of digital rights (DRM) had to be removed for Silverlight if I could play movies from Netflix.  The signatures of many DRM applications are apparently related to the hardware configuration.  I think there is a similar problem, i.e. WMP somewhere has a file that stores the configuration of my old, and when I try to plug in my MP3 player, it reviews the change in material and dies.  The file can even be stored on the Sansa.

Anyway, I don't mind formatting device if necessary, but I prefer to start more simple if possible.  Can anyone please confirm the problem and tell me how to reset the WMP/Sansa for my new Setup?

    Thank you

    Nick

Not so in response to your own message.

I was able to find a solution to the problem in the MS. support knowledge base  I've linked the two items below, the one I used is included first covers more recent versions of Windows.  The second has essentially the same information, but it is older.  Note that "individualization of the DRM system" is an important step.  Initially, I left this step, but it still doesn't work.

  • Vostro 430 new video card selection

    Hello

I use vostro 430 with Nvidia GeForce GT 220, im confused about which cards are compatible with my motherboard, I couldn't find my motherboard on the internet features.

Is anyone know supports my motherboard PCI - E 3.0, 192 bit GDDR5 cards?

IM interested with GeForce GTX 650 Ti boost. is this one works with my system?

    Hi armanbicakci,

Yes, the system motherboard supports video cards PCI X 16 PCI Express 2.0 and comes with power supply 350w.  NVidia GeForce GTX 650 needs 400w power supply with PCI Express 3.0.

You may need to buy a 400W PSU. The card can downgrade and will operate at 2.0 speed.  Reference Dell configures the following video cards on this system model:

    ATI Radeon HD4350
    NVidia GeForce GT 220
    NVidia GeForce GTS 240
    NVidia GeForce GT310
