Up to 8 GB of DDR2 - 800 (4 x 2 GB). It can actually take a Quad Core processor, but the best processor a QX9300 requires his own mother. On your motherboard, you can install a Q9100 or a T9600 for upgrades. Not sure, you won't get as much as your CPU is already very good.

Yes, a SSD and 8 GB of RAM will be your best updated more effective and if you can be part of those of the SSD. As you can see here, 8 GB memory DDR2 is quite expensive:

  • EliteBook 8440p: problems of Expansion RAM HP 8440p

I recently decided to upgrade the memory on my EliteBook 8440p. After reading the form of RAM required, I bought one of these: http://www.ebuyer.com/737970-kingston-4gb-1333mhz-204-pin-cl9-ddr3-sodimm-non-ecc-unbuffered-1-5v-me...

Once the new RAM is installed in the expansion slot, Windows will not start and crashes just on screen "starting Windows." Then I tried a test of memory using the system BIOS diagnostic tool, but the laptop either hangs around 35% (I left it there for about two hours), restarts, or stops altogether. I thought that I would give to the system try, repair tool but which caused also just the laptop restart. Curiously, when I check the "System information" tab the system diagnostics, the two RAM sticks are detected with current and accurate information.

I contacted eBuyer, they sent a replacement out there, but I'm having the same problem again. So, I thought I would try to install new RAM in the internal slot instead (under the keyboard), but now I have a BSOD during the 'Starting Windows' screen, give me code error, "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

I read on some forums tech upward. One of them suggested runs what is called 'Memtest' at startup via the CD, I tried, but the laptop restarts only during the first passage of the test of memory (and of course some loops over and over again until I remove the CD).

I'm starting to lose hope! Any help/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • 200 G1: expansion RAM to HP 200 G1

    Hello

I just wanted to ask a question about the upgrade memory on a computer HP 200 G1.  The manual indicates that there are two RAM slots for 204 pin DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) SO DIMM sticks.  I intend to buy this computer and I would like to switch to 2 x 4 (8 in total) or 2 x 8 (16 total) GB of RAM for this computer using the following RAM bought from NewEgg.com.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16820326282

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16820326283

One of those options would work?  And whatever that is not PC3L (they will still work with the combination of card mother-power supply of this computer)?

I want to just make sure I can get my hands on extra RAM memory that is compatible with this computer, so I can at least bump it up to 8 GB, finally...

Thank you very much for your help!

    You are the very welcome.

I must have overlooked the fact that you don't need to a single chip.

If you only need one, yes it should work.

Crucial 4 GB single chip you have selected will run in DDR mode.  As long as the memory has the same features (speed and size), it will run in DDR mode.

I put a 4 GB of brand chip in my laptop HP 350 G1 was different from that, he came with, and it works very well in DDR mode.

The System Board will probably reject a higher voltage memory.

Some PC does not start, and some will give an error of memory BIOS that you have to hit the F1 key, every time you want to start windows.

As far as the exact part for the memory of the PC number comes with, you will need to check when you get it.

HP does not always of the same exact brand in each PC. It depends on their source of supply at the time where the PC was built, I guess.

  • Tecra 510cdt memory

Sorry, he is transferred to another category by mistake. I'm new here!

I am interested in buying an upgrade memory 128 MB for my computer Toshiba Tecra 510cdt laptop. The label on the bottom says it is a model 1232 EBYX-ENDI. Serial number: 02715996E. NCP 6026. Manufactured by Toshiba Europe GMBH. F.R. Germany.

Can you suggest where I can buy a compatible module for this machine?
    Thank you

    Hi Joseph,.

As far as I know that your Tecra is supplied with a module of non-removable 16 MB of RAM and a spare expansion slot in which you can install up to 128 MB expansion RAM. The NW2042U is the correct plug-in for your laptop.
This will give you a total 144 MB RAM.

What RAM module did you remove? You must leave the original 16 MB in place and simply install the new 128 MB module in the expansion slot.

Be sure to take the steps of antistatic neceaasry before handling the RAM module.

    Kind regards

    Hello

As you say the laptop U300-153 can scale up to 2 GB max.
I really surprised that the BIOS has detected that more than 2 GB and that the laptop was able to boot in windows. Usually the laptop should not start and begin with more than 2 GB of memory

    > Why BIOS can detect 4 GB but load Vista RCA with it? Deadline is - what chipset?

Usually it s a physical limitation (motherboard). and you will not be able to upgrade the memory to a higher value is not possible!

  • Satellite P25-S509 - RAM expansion

I have a Satellite P25-S509/PSP20U-ILKF3V and I am looking for instructions on adding ram. The underside of the computer's installed ram 1 GB and am looking to add another GB of Ram. They told me that I have to remove the screen and lift the keyboard to go to the area of expansion on this laptop. This device has a max of 2 GB, can someone help me with this?

    Thanks, Dan

    Hi faccipointi,

Usually the second RAM slot is placed on the underside that you already wrote and founded, but the first RAM slot should be under the keyboard. This means that you need to remove the keyboard to upgrade the RAM module.

    Can find you it?

  • Satellite Pro M70: Advice on the expansion of the RAM

    Hello world

I have a SPro M70 with 512 RAM installed. I'll install a memory 1024 RAM card today. Please advise if I should install new RAM in a particular location. Is there a primary & secondary slot / configuration?

    Thank you

    Hello

Your device has two slots. It is not important in what location you will put a new, larger module, but I recommend you put it in the slot A (where is now 512 MB RAM) and the old module to location B.

The compatible RAM 1 GB module for your appliance is DDR2 400/533 1 GB (PA3411U-1M1G). Please make sure that you use right (100% compatible).

    Bye and good luck!

  • Satellite C660D - 13 H - compatibile RAM expansion modules?

I have Satellite C660D - 13 H with 2 GB of RAM on board and you want to update with 4 GB or 2 GB module.

I know that my laptop can be upgraded to full capacity 8 GB of RAM, that is max 4 gigabits per slot memory and any module of 8GB only.

I would appreciate a suggestion on 2 or 4 GB RAM modules for Toshiba or compatibile Kingston.

    Thanks to all in advance.

PS / are modules with compliance specification memory code "PC3-8500' compatibile with my laptop?

You can use the modules type: DDR3 1066 MHz (PC3-8500)
I think Kingston is a good brand. I use Kingston modules and I'm happy.
    Never had any problems.

  • Satellite A100-159: expansion of memory RAM problem

    Hello

I have a satellite A100-159. I want to increase the RAM to 2 GB. I checked the type of memory that is supported by the laptop and ordered two modules PC4200 DDR2 SO-DIMM 1 GB of the brand 'Buffalo '. I have after installing the memory and the laptop starts fine (and detects the 2 GB of RAM). However, Windows XP always freezes after login. I reinstalled the original modules and everything works well again.

After that, I installed both modules in other non-Toshiba laptop and here they work perfectly. I know that Toshiba recommends using some partnumbers, but if the modules work fine in another laptop computer why it does not work in the A100?

Recommended modules are almost two times more expensive. If Toshiba wants to make money by forcing people to buy expensive pieces, I will never buy a Toshiba again...

Secondly, is it possible to use DDR2 SO - DIMM 667 modules (these are less expensive than 533 modules)?

    Kind regards
    Martijn

    Hello

    > is it possible to use DDR2 SO - DIMM 667 modules (these are less expensive than 533 modules)

Yes, it should be possible to use the modules of 667 MHz, but generally, they should be more expensive than 533 MHz modules. Of course, modules WITHOUT name are always less expensive than brand Kingston or Toshiba memory modules.

    > Recommended modules are almost two times more expensive. If Toshiba wants to make money by forcing
    > people to buy expensive pieces I will never buy a Toshiba again.

Don t think that they will be forcing anyone to buy expensive parts. but as already said, the brand modules cost more expensive form of low quality modules. The performance of these modules is poor. If you want you can read some computer magazines and find the tests.
They compare the performance of simple modules. So for me it makes no sense to buy a module without name of 667 MHz because for most a brand module 533 MHz is faster and better as module 667 MHz without a name.

I use Kingston modules in my laptop satellite and I'm happy.
