  Once more my automatic update of Vista stopped working today; It looks updates constantly and never ends. Set to automatic update was working yesterday the download and installation of Windows Defender - KB915597 (1.229.1407.0 and 1.229.1054.0 definitions).  This issue happened on August 9, 2016 when Windows Defender - KB915597 (definition 1.225.3489.0) has successfully installed on 8 August.

  Volume Z replied to my request for help the Oct 1 instruct me to download and run KB3185911 by his specific instructions.  This clear up my problem.  I tried to run this file (. Windows6 0-KB3185991-x 86.msu) still today after initial Volume Z instructions and received the notice, it did not apply to my system.

  The issue was revived by the release yesterday of KB3191203.

  Hi, no I was not looking for that, because he had only older versions... anyway now it works. But I still have another problem: very often when I open eps files, I get the message "the file are made in most recent version and can´t be opened." ?? How is that possible?   The driver is set in duplex, he used for duplex and now is not duplex. It prints single face even when double-sided is selected. I tried to reinstall the latest driver software. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Any ideas?

  To enable the duplex printing function, you must go in the folder devices and printers, right click on the printer and select "printer properties". Here in the advanced settings, you should be able to allow automatic duplex printing.

• LaserJet P1102w: Status = stopped

  My new HP 1102w printer range appear to be installed correctly, but do not print.

  I use Ubuntu 15.10 with all latest updates.

  When I try to print a Test Page, everything seems like it goes smoothly, but nothing prints. When I check the print queue, State says "stopped". The icon 'Release the selected works' is disabled.

  The printer works great under Windows, is apparently not the printer.

  I also tried this using another computer using the same version of Ubuntu 15.10, but get the same result.

  I have a HP Officejet Pro 8610 and it works fine on the same two computers.

  Until he died a few days ago, I got a HP Laserjet 4 running on the same two computers (no changes made to the system since that time).

  3.15.7 HPLIP system installed (current version is 3.15.11)

  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the printer, but no change.

• LaserJet 1100: HP LaserJet 1100 - suddenly stopped working

  I have a printer HP LaserJet 1100 (very) old, which worked well with my laptop, it has been updated to Win10, earlier, and Windows has made a new update involving more than one hour of downloads - which was on (I think) Monday... possibly Tuesday.  Wednesday, I printed a page ok, then the printer has not been used... tried printing yesterday and today, even though the printer has lights and I can turn it on / off to check the lights cross, he comes again my printer is offline on my laptop.

  After a day of unsuccessful attempts to fix it but the installation of various things, I then had to spend 6 hours Uninstalling everything and fighting against the virus of shit.  Now I think I've sorted the virus, I hope.  But now I'm on the show of the printer.  Sod all still happens with her.  I uninstalled it, and worn aaaaaaaaaaages get it back.  Installed HP Print and the doctor Scan, which annoyingly is running and told me there is a problem, but not how to solve.  Check that the printer is turned on, it connected... and then re-tent, and it fails, then tells me to check that the printer is on, says and connected... then fails... etc.

  What can I do to try to solve this problem?  No idea what is the problem is, at first sight, it was related to the Win10 update, but I know who was on Monday or Tuesday, and I know I have something printed on Wednesday, and I don't think that there has been no update since then, but printing does not the following week Wednesday.  Assuming that it's down to Win10, but it could be something else.  Tried to find something else to help, but nowhere fast and am worried to try things at random since it leads to the question of virus.  I hope that the virus should be sorted now, but it was certainly before they appear, so completely lost.

  For the first time - I reset my Windows to an earlier version (always Win10, but said a previous version, so I assume that from before last week) and it works again!

  Default print:

  Shortcuts printing - print on both sides Option - the value 'No'.

  -Of Document - finishing options NOT checked

  Even when I put the Device settings:

  Installation options - duplexer (for printing on 2 sides): "Not installed"

  & Enable manual duplex printing: to "Disabled"

  All print jobs are always Duplexed...

  You must go into the ToolBoxFX and set "Off" two-sided printing

• HP Laserjet 1018 suddenly stopped working

  I recently bought a new computer with Windows 7. Printer worked very well since the purchase of several weeks until yesterday (Tuesday, 24 August) then he stopped.   Please follow the directions to see if your HP LaserJet service is running or disable them below.

  1. type msconfig in run or search programs and files

  2. click on the Services tab

  3 find HP LaserJet Service and see said "operational" in the status column

  4 disable this service.

  You should see the error message disappears.

  Thank you for your message.  To enable the print spooler, please follow the steps below:
  Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
  Click the (+) sign next to "Services and Applications" > click on "Services".
  On the right, scroll down to and double click on 'Print spooler' > set the startup type to "Automatic" > click on 'Start' > click 'Apply' > click 'OK '.
  This should not only start your spooler in this instance, but now he has to start each time you start your computer.
