  • HP LaserJet MFP M127 - new cartridge Pro is recognized used als

    Hello everyone,

We have a MFP HP LaserJet Pro M127 in our network.

Today, I have built in a new cartridge (HP Original Product power), printing works well, but the printer itself recognises that the cartridge is new and still has the warning, that the cartridge is almost empty and second-hand.

Y at - it an option to manually tell the printer that the cartridge is new?

    Best regards

    Hi, Markus.

    Thanks for this information.

Since it is a printer, you already used successfully, try the procedure described in the document at the link below. If the link does not work, do a Google search for c03916674. This will take you to the same document.

  • LaserJet 2420dn: LaserJet 2420dn - install black cartridge

    Hello!

I replaced the cartridge in a LaserJet 2420dn, and the printer seems to recognize the replacement cartridge, but after a bit, a message is displayed on the control screen, "install black cartridge". At first, I tried to install a used cartridge (not worn), which had been installed in a 2430dtn. Then, I tried a new cartridge with the same result.

With a quick search, I found the following recommendation for this problem:

    • Remove the left cover and inspect lever of Earth.
    • Reinstall the grounding contact lever hinge on chassis and attach it to the chassis using a cable tie.

I removed the left cover on the 2420dn and ground contact lever / the Assembly seems to be in order. I also removed the left cover on the 2430dtn in comparison. With the left cover removed, I removed and installed several different cartridges and observed ground contact - he seems to bring a strong connection to one of the installed cartridges.

If I re - install the cartridge originally installed (has little remaining life), the cartridge is correctly recognized and I can print. All other cartridges I tried to cause the message "install the black print cartridge.

The 2420dn has available, latest firmware 08_120_4.

    A few questions:

Any ideas what can cause this and what is a good troubleshooting step or eliminate sources of problem?

When a cartridge is installed on a printer, the printer stores whatever it is in the memory of the cartridge that can "lock" on the specific printer cartridge? I've never heard of this and I don't really think that's what is going on here (I also tried a new cartridge), but had to ask... :-)

    Thank you!

Have you tried a new OEM toner cartridge... If all else fails and you have the option to keep the printer even when the toner reads as empty, then simply move the chip of the old toner which seems to work correctly in a new toner and see if the new toner works now...

I tried a cartridge oem HP brand new (Q6511x). I had to break the plastic tab and remove the plastic "Ribbon". I also moved the the cartridge chip non - oem (almost worn) who has always worked, to the oem cartridge. This made no difference - oem new cartridge still does not work. I've already tried several cartridges, including a new non - oem MICR cartridge. Just by Visual inspection non - oem and oem cartridges, I am baffled why one works and the other does not. The cartridges look almost identical structurally. As previously stated, I have observed several installed cartridges with the left cover is removed and the contact of the ground seems to be a solid connection for each cartridge.

After application of a cable tie fix, I tested the new cartridge oem with its original chip, with success. I used the quantity 3, clamps "Garland". For anyone else similar/identical symptoms, I do no guarantee that it is the best way to implement a fix of cable tie or that this will solve the problems you are having. But I hope that someone finds it useful. See the photos below.

  • DeskJet 5550 cannot print the page to clean cartridges.

DeskJet 5550, Win 7 64 bit, after clicking on the clean print cartridges, it does nothing. Power light is solid on. The menu box arrives with Click clean to clean the cartridges now. Clicking on clean makes this area of empty menu and nothing happens. No error or no program has stopped responding. Can the text and images fine print except that I need to run the utility for a few minor flaws. Past to the best setting which helped a lot. Does not print the calibration page either. Prints all the tests and the test page.

I believe you can force a cycle of cleaning as follows: power on press and hold the power button, press on and release the button X twice quickly, then release the power button.  No page will print, but you should hear the printer to clean.  A more aggressive cleaning can be done by pressing the X button twice and once the page break button, a still more energetic cleaning by pressing the X button twice, then press the page twice break before releasing the power button.

You can print a diagnostic page holding the power and then button by pressing the X button eight times followed by the button to jump to page four times, then release the power button.

  • Scan without cleaning cartridge

I use a HP Photosmart 6510 and do a lot of scanning, but prefer not to waste ink everytime I turn on the printer.  Any ideas?

    Hello

Until there is a scanner, a printer is therefore inks during the warm-up. A single scanner requires no inks. My test says it can scan with empty ink cartridges, BUT the cartridgs has to be there.

    Hope it makes sense.

I clear a jam of recent paper (for labels) and the printer works fine.

However, if I try to use the "direct delivery" option when opening the door, I get an error message "Paper jam in the area - open the cartridge door and clear jam."

The built-in LCD display, it shows that all 4 cartridges are not installed.  I reinstalled and replaced without success.  The diagnosis of disable cartridge I would like to print a test page (without printing anything on paper of course), narrowing of the troubleshooting.  Our company is to buy cheaper cartridges from Staples instead of HP, but this has not changed and has worked with the printer before recently.  Recently, someone has changed the cartridges and loosed a spring on unrolling transfer.  Here are my questions for the community:

    1. where can I check if the cartridges are recommended HP?

    2. where can I find a service manual for the transfer kit and cartridge loading areas are set up correctly?

    Edit

With Diagnostics enabled disabled cartridge, the test pages are not able to print.  In the process of troubleshooting, I have about 30 pages printed and got 1 out the top normally.  The 1 that came out before was a stroke of luck.  The error is jam in the TOP COVER, there are 2 pages stuck, the first one was just before the block of detecting color registration.

    3. How can I clear the error message on the cartridges is not not present?

After completing the service manual troubleshooting steps in table 7-2 (at page 277), I decided to replace the controller memory of the electronic label PCB.  This does not solve the problem.  After seeing a small piece of metal near the lower left corner of the ETB, I found it in the manual (Figure 6-40, page 221).  I couldn't get it back in so I decided to take the drum out of re training - install (page 219-221).  It worked!

    1.  ? but it wasn't a problem.

    2. Google.

    3. install the drum drive assembly binding arm that has not already been installed.

  • Barely used G85: clean ink cartridges

I know I'm a few years late, but what makes "Clean cartridges" do?

If the printer has tiny brushes this ink own surplus off the cartridges, where's the dirt?  After that the printer performs a few dozen cartridge-cleaning, is something in the printer should be cleaned to get rid of all the dirt that he collected?

    Thank you

    -neil-

The printer * is * in fact, clockwork marvel :-).  There is not really strong scrapings, it's more like liquid sludge.  Think of windshield wipers to clean your windshield - they need not cleaning themselves, despite to remove rain, bugs and other stuff.  If you are really interested, you may be able to see within the service area with a flashlight and perhaps a dental mirror, but it's probably better not to--he tends to look at disorder, and people damage their printers trying to clean the service area (unnecessarily).

The ink used especially rest liquid, some of the components of the ink would remain liquid for a long time.  In the bottom of the station service is a thin sponge which absorbs most of the liquid, but after a or two decades of use, there may be a few spoonfuls of ink in the service area.  This is why you don't want to share the printer, if cars are installed or not.

The print head rises above the paper by about 1/16 ", if you was enough paper folded it would extend upwards into the path of the print head.  That's why you have got some burrs on the page.

The gas station is designed to keep the nozzles healthy.  While this may sometimes need manual cleaning usually automatic cleaning is sufficient.  If the manual cleaning is done too it will shorten the life of the printer (and ink).

  • HP PSC 1315xi - clean print cartridge does not work, does nothing

I have a HP PSC 1315xi All in One.  I have just stalled new ink cartridges.  I was able to line up, but I noticed on the impression that black was not feeling right.  I printed a test page by holding the Cancel button and pushing the color copy button to start.  Print out showed that there certainly is a problem with the black cartridge.  So I went in the Toolbox and I clicked to clean cartridges.  I clicked on Clean and nothing happened.  The printer did nothing and he didn't pop up or anything to show, there was a problem.  I waited 5 minutes and still nothing.  I'm on Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  Thank you.

The application of the Toolbox cannot communicate with the printer. Try the following:

    (1) unplug the PC printer by unplugging the USB cable into the PC end.

    (2) turn off the printer and the PC.

    (3) wait 30 seconds and turn on the printer, then on PC.

    (4) when the PC is starting for office, connect the USB cable.

Now, open the Toolbox printer and check if the option clean cartridge works.

    If this does not work:

    (1) you are able to check the Toolbox ink levels?

    (2) you see the digital imaging monitor icon in the box at the bottom right of the taskbar on your computer screen?
