  Certanly this problem has been that the printer need time to recognize the new battery, after a few hours the new drums are going very well.

  Place a sheet of the faxed document glass, print side down, and make a copy.  If the copy comes out blank or if the copy is hard to read, the likely faxed version no longer works.  This could be the result if the document by fax is on yellow paper or other (perhaps) due to the low contrast.

  If the copy is good, take this printed copy and put it in the ADF, side to the top and make a copy.  Evaluate the results.
