HP m9600t & cards graphics

I have a HP m9600t with i7 CPU, Vista Ultimate, 64-bit, 12G of RAM. Can I upgrade the graphic card NVIDIA Quadro family to use Adobe Production Premiium?

Cre8vlady, welcome to the forum.

The first consideration is the power supply unit (PSU).  It is 460W.  You need to make sure that the video card requires more power.  In addition, the motherboard supports two video cards.  This would require much more power.

The final consideration is the length of the video/s card.  I don't think that the space provided will support a card more than 9 "long.  You can measure the space to ensure.

Is someone can you please tell me if you can update the graphics/video card on this machine as we are having trouble loading and playing games (Sims 2 deluxe) and Tiger Woods 08 and a friend mentioned that the graphics card on this laptop does not support them. AFAIK there are here with 1 GB of memory, 128 MB graphics card and two games require at least 32 mb videocard support and yet they either load up, then stop responding or if I do get not one to play it crashes after a few minutes. Is there something that can be done to run one of these games?

Would be grateful for any advice!

    Hello!

I m not the owner of a Qosmio so I m not sure but as far as I know it s not possible to update the graphics card on a Toshiba laptop. For the upgrade of the GPU, I can prefer this useful link:

But why you want to upgrade? I mean the Qosmio F45 is the oldest not portable and the graphics performance should be good.

  • Please recommend to me a card graphics and monitor 32 "for my mac pro 2009

I currently have nvidia gt120 stock and a 27 "screen of samsung, which was not expensive and does not seem as high quality.

I have my screen far enough away from me for acoustic reasons and feel like I'm tender my eyes a little.

According to me, a 32 "is also great that I have for the space.

I don't know anything about graphics / monitors, but I want the most clearest cases experience pleasant possible visualization for use logic and pro tools - I am interested in it 12 hours a day 6-7 days a week so I think it makes sense to splash if need be...

My GT120 will support a large screen? A better graphics card gives me a clearer view?

Any info greatly appreciated I'm a total model on this topic.

It is not the size of the screen that counts, it's resolution, number of pf pixels, the card must drive.

The GT-120 lead 2650 x 1600 max via the mini displayport or DVI dual-link output.

What you watch get really depend on your preferences and your budget. It's very subjective. Just get one with a mini displayport or display port of entry.

  • Updated card graphics L440

Is it possible to update the graphics card on the L440?

Good day and welcome to the community.

As with almost all cell phones, the graphical subsystem is integrated with the CPU package, or if it's a real GPU discreet, soldered to the system board. In some cases a particular machine may have been offered with integrated or discrete graphics. In this case, a computer with integrated graphics could be upgraded via an exchange of the system board.

In looking at the list of RUF L440 parts pg2: https://download.lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/l440_fru_list_20140825.pdf

you will see two types of system boards. One is 'Integrated Graphics 4600' and the other is ' NVIDIA N14M-GE with 1 GB ', you do not have this option, but it could be costly.

You can see the equipment manual: https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/l440_l540_hmm_en_sp40a26004_03.pdf

to get an idea of the physical task.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

    Kind regards.

  • Workstation Z600: card graphic Workstation Z600 error (Six beeps)

Hello, this is my first time posting in the forums and I can't upgrade my video card. I'm relatively new to the PC upgrade, so bear with me.

Currently, I use a HP Z600 workstation with a graphics card XFX Radeon HD 6670 1, without any problem. I have two slots for PCIe 2.0 x 16, and I've read that I should be able to also use cards which have PCIe 3.0. The 650W power supply also has a power cable 6 unique pins.

The new card, I am using is a MSI Gaming R9 8 390, which uses the PCIe 3.0 and locations for a 8 pin and a power cable 6 pin.  When I replace the video card and you turn on the system, the repeated red power button blinks six times, each with a beep. The light on the card, but fans do not rotate, which may actually be a feature of the map in order to stay calm.

So far, I was able to use a location for both, power cable or the 6 - 8 pins (using the 6-pin to 8 pin adapter supplied with the card). I tried the switch between the two slots (slots 2 and 4) PCIe card, but I still get the power button flashes red when turned on. I've also updated my bios to v3.57.

I am able to start the computer when I replaced the HD6670, without the beeps. I tried to have 390 R9 also connected, but it does not appear in the Windows Device Manager.

For me, it seems that the motherboard is not just pick up the card. Is it possible that the right card is not correctly powered and I need a power splitter cable? Have I not a card that is dead on arrival? Or is the 390 R9 simply incompatible with my system?

I solved my problem by using the separator.

In case someone else also try to upgrade their system gpu, it is indeed necessary connect the two power of the graphics card ports. Once, my card was required a 6 pins and a PCIe power plug 8-pole, and I used just splitters and adapters to connect to the extra cable 6 pin of the Z600.

Beware however: because my card uses a decent amount of power, I had to underclock my card about 10% or my rig will re-start himself when running 3D applications. I read online that it can be solved if you use a separate extra, external power supply or connect to another pc supply, but I am satisfied with her downclock so I will do that now. Still, you can't replace the power supply of the Z600 because it is designed specifically for this workstation.

  • HP Pavilion a6242n - no video on the new card graphics hd 5450.

I just bought a new Asus HD 5450 and installed video card.  I plugged my cable vga/SVGA and no video.  I can hear the hard drive churning and hear the homescreen seems so it is booting to the desktop.

I put the video card in my other PC and it works fine.  I reconnect to the integrated graphics subsystem on the HP and it works fine.

I reinstall the video card and still nothing.  HP requires a HP exclusive video card?

    Things I've tried so far:

    reset the BIOS/power.

Tried my XFX HD 4350 video card.

BIOS modified for start of the PCIe and Auto.  These two don't.

I connect the integrated graphics subsystem and 5450 parallel to the monitors and works incorporated and no driver installed for 5450 and nothing shows for 5450 in windows update or Device Manager.

Is x 16 PCIe slot broken?

    Any other ideas?

    -= Mark =-

    Hi Mark,

Some of the old HP PC don't like AMD 5xxx cards.  There were messages on this forum where the AMD 5xxx did not work in the old HP PC.  The ASUS 5450 is a version 2.1 of PCI - E card and it may not be compatible with the PCI-E x 1 in your PC slot.

Try a NVIDIA video card that is adapted to the size of power supply in your PC.  Usually, the video cards more low end AMD details indicate a 400 Watt power supply and retail NVIDIA video cards indicate a minimum of 300 watts power.

I'm looking to get a new graphics card for games. What grapihcs cards are good and compatible with this computer given its components and power supply (only 300 watts)? Hello

Without replacing your PC power, NVIDIA GTX 750 it would be a great choice, and it's the best of the lot that you referenced. Research the model NVIDIA GTX 750 that some models require a PCI-E power connector 6 pin auxiliary lacking the 300 watt power supply in your PC.

  • P6520f video card / graphics card

I have a p6520f that I think need a new video card or graphics card (is there a difference?).  Googling, I think that's the problem.  The screen does, not even in safe mode, but the problem is not the monitor because I tried a second monitor and two different cables, and all have the same problem.

Google search tells me that I need to replace the video card.

How I don't know what to buy?  I watched videos of youtube on how do to replace a graphics card and I think I can do it myself, I don't even know what iI have to order.

Oh, and my p6520f has an integrated graphics, according to the sticker on the side.

And if you can think of any other reason why I can not get display monitors, even in safe mode, please advise.

    Thank you

Becky, unfortunately it becomes more difficult to locate a video card that will work correctly with a 250W power supply.  I'll give you as much information as I can, so you can see what you can find.  You can use a card which is PCI Express x 16.  The most recent PCI Express x 16 (2.0) cards are backward compatible.  They will work with older PCIE systems.  You can check with the manufacturer of the cards to make sure they work with your power of 250W.  The card must not be longer than 9 "long.

  • T30: Upgrade card graphics and HD

I am looking to update my graphics card as my HD. I know its possible to upgrade the HD but not sure about the graphics card. I use this laptop mainly for music and games of light. I would have been fine with just the upgrade of my HD but recently I bought the Sims 3 and he says: my graphics card is not good enough to start the game and just said that my graphics card 'don't seem to support at least Shader Model 2' and please update. I'm mainly looking to hear what drives hard and (if possible) graphics cards made for easier installations with a T30.

    Welcome to the forum!

Your graphics card is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be replaced. The only solution would be to get a docking station and install a card there, but it's an expensive solution for such a machine old (but adorable).

With respect to the hard drive, T30 will take any portable PATA/IDE of 9.5 mm (2.5 in.), currently the largest room WD 320.

    I hope this helps.

  • Upgrade card graphic Inspiron 660

Hi, I bought an Inspiron of 660 around 2013. I'm looking to upgrade the graphics card that came with this pc. I'm looking for who can play any current game. I just need to play with ultra settings, just something that can have the fps consistency. Also, I want a card that has a low power consumption. My computer is not the SLIM model, so I think I can get a reasonable size card. My processor is an intel core i5-3330 @ 3.00 ghz and 8 GB of RAM. I'm ready to upgrade my power supply at least 500w.

Until the graphics card can you guys recommend.

    Thank you

I would just get a 960 but make sure it will keep actually, I have no idea about your case and what will fit. Most full size 960s are like 9-10 inches long. They do versions Minies of the 960 that are less than 7 inches long.

Here is a good list of high quality PSUS you can consider using. (click on view it full content in the first post) If you have a bigger budget then maybe get a good brand rated gold power supply of this list, as it will save money in the long term power.

Personally I just a seasonic s12ii 620w in my 8700 XPS which was $ 60. but it's only rated so bronze. It comes in a modular version called the "M12II" If you do not want a lot of cable clutter. It's an older power supply, but it is a great unit for the price. Since power efficiency is important to you, it might be better to get a Gold rated well.

SEASONIC is a good brand of power supply. Some brands have a mixture of high quality and of lower quality PSUS due to different manufacturers.  Many power supplies high quality there are just renamed Seasonics.

The average 960 recommends at least a 400w, so a good 500w is a lot. Together on your computer with the 960 will not go anywhere near 500w, only use the card itself as 120w under load. Stick to one of the UPE at several levels higher and you'll be fine.

Just make sure you get your diet has the right male connectors on the Board you get

NVidias new range of GPUS are set to come out this year, allegedly by summer. It was supposed to be a decent jump from the 'old' and allegedly much more power efficient as well. AMD is about to release their new line as well. That being said, to wait for the next best thing is a long wait.

  • Card graphic Inspiron 660 recommendations

    Hello

I'm looking for any recommendation for graphics cards of the Inspiron 660. Preference that the card will be just straight pop and help me to run Battlefield 3.

    Thank you

    Ronak

    Hello

The Inspiron 660 has following options available for the graphics Chipset:

    • Integrated Intel HD graphics chipset.
    • nVIDIA GeForce GT 620 (per round).
    • AMD Radeon HD 7570.
    • NVIDIA GeForce 640GT (for Mini Tower).

In 660 Inspiron power is 300W for mini tower and Slim Tower is 220W.

This is the graphics card for Battlefield 3 requirement:

Minimum: ATI Radeon 3870 or more, nVidia GeForce 8800 GT or higher.
Recommended: nVidia GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950.

For graphics cards above, the energy supply needs are superior to present food in the computer. You may need to upgrade the power supply, if the graphics card is upgraded.

For any information feel free to contact me.

I can't use my nvidia graphics card, even I can't open the NVIDIA settings window.

He tells me "display NVIDIA settings are not available."

you are not currently using a screen attached to a NVIDIA GPU

    How can I solve it

On the driver tab nVidia GT 620 under display adapters in the Device Manager, which is the version of the driver? This is reflected at the title of the help in the nVidia Control Panel.

Oops, another thought. How you connect the monitor to the computer, VGA, HDMI or DVI? You should use the connector on the video card, NOT the upper connector that must be covered with a plastic cap.
