  Is someone can you please tell me if you can update the graphics/video card on this machine as we are having trouble loading and playing games (Sims 2 deluxe) and Tiger Woods 08 and a friend mentioned that the graphics card on this laptop does not support them. AFAIK there are here with 1 GB of memory, 128 MB graphics card and two games require at least 32 mb videocard support and yet they either load up, then stop responding or if I do get not one to play it crashes after a few minutes. Is there something that can be done to run one of these games?

  The graphic Chipset in a Qosmio F45 AV412 can be improved? I assumed that before I bought it it would go at least the minimum graphics for games.

  I m not the owner of a Qosmio so I m not sure but as far as I know it s not possible to update the graphics card on a Toshiba laptop. For the upgrade of the GPU, I can prefer this useful link:

  But why you want to upgrade? I mean the Qosmio F45 is the oldest not portable and the graphics performance should be good.

• Updated card graphics for S5770uk-m?

  Graphics, intel has incorporated into my slimline S5770uk-m GMAx4500HD, which is not enough to play minecraft on the pc. I know it's a problem of specific pc I can play the program on another pc (HP 6315 with geoforce 430 graphics)

  The motherboard on the 5770 gives to think that I can add a pci-e x 16 - but with the slimline chassis compatible graphics card I can't find one that matches

  So, can anyone tell what graphics card must be compatible for the slimline chassis? I think that the power supply can provide up to 400W and I only seek to have a card with a nominal 1 GB memory

  It is very easy to do. There are a few Philips screws on the cards and you remove the media from the standard profile and install the CF ones.

  If you can take any Radeon 4350 at the best prices, it should work with your P/S.

  modify... to answer your more high... as long as the body of the card is low profile, you can put profile low media on it.

  I now use some more intensive graphics programs (games) and wonder if anyone can suggest a way of doing things as "Age of Empires III" work faster than 1 images / second (apart from buying a desktop computer)?

  I wouldn't mind upgrading the graphics on a map chip if it's possible, but any suggestions would be appreciated!

  Daniel is right. It s not possible to update the graphics cards for laptop computer.
  Laptop technology is very delicate and you can compare t he know the desktop PC.
  By the way: The Age of Empires 3 is new game and there to play you need a high performance pc and a graphics card with good cooling system

  Sorry, but HP does not usually release updates to pilot routine maintenance. Instead, HP only releases updates to fix known bugs or issues with a driver.

  You may want to consider reading this HP Forum thread titled How can I use the latest drivers for my ATI/AMD card?  Read and follow the instructions provided. Also consider to read the information as found on the provided links these may offer a better solution.

  Hello, I have problems finding the update of the bios (download) for my computer, I looked everywhere in the 'hp' site and I can't find all downloads for the bios. Recently, I have re-installed and updated my graphics card because it wouldn't run hardware acceleration or all the games that I tried to start, so now whenever I start my computer it crashes during startup, but once I'm in safe mode and disable My Nvidia GeForce 7350 the my computer starts up fine but my graphics card does not work , I searched up to via internet for this problem and what I saw, is that I need a bios update for my updated graphics card work properly. My current bios is {Phoenix Technologies, LTD. 5.08, (12 / 8/2006)} I'm looking for is the download link for {P5LP - THE Motherboard BIOS update, Version: 5.23, (August 26, 2011)}. I read that you can get the update on the site of "hp", and I'm not. If someone could help I would be happy to apprectiate, also if you think I'm doing something wrong or the wrong in the resolution of this problem please let me know, thanks!

  Usually it of not possible to update the graphics card. You can't compare the laptop and desktop pc technology. The graphics card on the laptop is a small chip that attaches to the motherboard.

  In my opinion the graphics card or processor is not welded on the new generation of mobile phones. The parts must be simply plugged into the card.
  But this does not change the status of the upgrade.
  Eventually, you will be able to remove the graphics card but I m sure that you will have problems of compatibility with other hardware.

  Fastest graphics card produces more heat and the temperature will automatically increase to a higher level. This would lead to overheating in the question and the laptop would be either closed or not starts.
  PC desktop technology is simply different as on laptops. You can also compare different graphics cards. Laptop factory uses only graphics card chips what don t supports a clean cooling module.

  It of certainly not possible to update the graphics card. The technology of the laptop is a little different and you should not compare it with the current desktop PC.
  The GPU is fixed and not removable.

  As in my previous answer, no you can not even with the portable version. Let's put it this way: basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:

  • New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
  • Need new card system (can be),
  • Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
  • May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
  • Cost of the work.
  • Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.
