HP Officejet 150 mobile, HP scan doesn't work (cannot find scanner)

Hello

I just bought a HP Officejet all-in-one 150 Mobile. I installed the complete software package (downloaded on the HP Site) bluetooth on a laptop Acer Aspire S5 for windows 7. Printing seems to work fine, but when you start HP Scan, I get the following error message:

Sane, the software cannot find the scanner with suggestions to resolve.

Is it possible to scan with a Bluetooth connection? Any other suggestions, what goes wrong?

Best regards

Roelof Crèvecoeur

Hello Roelof Crèvecoeur,

Scanning is not supported via a Bluetooth connection, only printing is available for connectivity also, you will need a USB to scan:

NOTE:Scan functions are not available through a Bluetooth connection. Scan functions are supported only through a USB connection.

Hi John. Officejet 150 mobile as you know is a Bluetooth printer.

HP does not offer an impression of the Android operating system solution Bluetooth:

See "Printing Bluetooth with a mobile device":

There are, however, 3 3rd Party Apps that can work for you. Do not forget that they are not officially approved by HP and not guaranteed.

OfficeJet 8500 a 910 scan does not work with my Macbook Pro Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  I tried to reload of apple and HP.  My drivers and software are up to date.  I tried to scan from preview, Capture and print browser.

    It worked finally.

Why doesn't HP have updated the drivers for a Macbook Pro 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?  I couldn't find one for 10.5 or 10.6 Leopard.  I tried everything I could find. I found a note on the edge of Disussion which suggested someone try a driver for another HP printer may be similar.  I found if I used the full program for Macbook Pro 10.6 Leopard I could scan.  The fax appeared to be installed via blue tooth.  I have not faxed anything, but it has been tested during the installation of the program.  Complete program of the HP I can't print.  I loaded via Apple an another whick of printer HP Officejet 8500 A910 allows me to print.  It is the only way that I could make use of my HP printer, scanner and fax.  Crazy, but I think it works and I can put some scans and, hopefully, fax to my Macbook Pro.  I appreciate the help.  Please encourage the HP programs and drivers for my Macbook Pro Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

  • HP Officejet 150: Can not scan wireless

I have a HP all-in-ONE Officejet 150 and that you are unable to scan wireless.  Right now, I can't even the bluetooth icon to turn blue, although it said that the radio is on.  I took my old printer because of such problems.  I handed to factory, combined with my Sony computer, but it does not recognize my computer.  Suggestions?  I can use a cable and get it to the scan, but that defeats the purpose of bluetooth technology.

    Hi @Dragonbebe,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you can not scan wireless with your mobile printer HP Officejet 150. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

This printer can only scan with the printer cable USB is plugged. As the wireless Bluetooth connection is strictly to be printed. Please see the user's Guide, for more information your printer.

  • OfficeJet 150: Drivers for HP Officejet 150 (mobile) will not be installed

I tried to install a 150 HP officejet on a Mac air laptop running windows 7 (64-bit). Whenever I try to run the installer for the software as a whole and the driver OR the base drivers it tells me that the computer has USB drivers or USB ports, so it can not install. The computer has of course these things. This happens even if I'm putting in place a bluetooth connection via the software and USB connection.

Also, when I try to go through the menu bluetooth and install without a driver, he finds the device but can't find the appropriate drivers.

Someone has a similar problem? It is a real problem for me because I bought this machine especially for this computer.

    1. What is the exact problem you are facinig with the installation of printer?
    2. What antivirus application do you use?

You can check the following links, they have specific information to install a wireless printer.

  • OfficeJet 150 Mobile - print is not black and white!

    Hello

I have a few documents of color I want to print that really don't need to be in color. I assume here it makes sense to print in black and white except if required?

Then next question is how can I do? I select 'Black & White' as a print option, but again, it goes ahead and print in color.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hello again,

I am happy to see that (for the most part) information I provided gave you a positive direction to solve your problem.  Once you make the changes, the settings are good for a print job. If the print job is 20 pages, then it will remain for all 20. If the print job is 1 page is all settings will remain. The bottom line is, you need to go and adjust the settings for each individual print job.  Once more I'm always happy to help you.

If the information that I have provided has helped to solve the problem, please click the "acceptable Solution" part at the bottom of MY post so that others can find this solution. If you are happy with the troubleshooting and you think that I've helped you, please click the 'Thumbs Up' from my post as well.

It has been a pleasure to work with you and please let me know if I can lend a hand again.

    Thank you.

I recently bought the HP OfficeJet 8600.  I am running Windows 7.  I try to add folder selections to the printer for analysis at the folder option, and I want to configure the scan to E-mail option.  I was able to add a folder, but now I can't find the stock selection to scan in the menu when I run the printing software.  I don't see the following selections.

HP printer Assistant (do nothing when you press on)

    Setting preferences

    See what's printing

    Customize your printer

I saw the selection of Actions of Scanner option once when I launched the software, but now I see that the above four choices.

    Any suggestions?

    RedRoscoe

    Hello RedRoscoe,

I would like to see if I can help with the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus scan to E-mail and Web Services questions. I think that the issues can be addresses by two steps, I hope.

About scanning to E-mail, you can be blocked by the two-step verification. What is the email client that you want to activate the printer for, MSN, Gmail, etc.?

Issues of Web Services, try to apply a manual DNS 209.244.0.3 & 209.244.0.4 to the printer's manual I.P address.

    Hey kvitiello,

I see that you have the 150 Mobile.  This printer is not printing or AirPrint takes 2 methods, often used for printing from an iPad.  The iPad does not support the bluetoothing to an iDevice and printing.
