  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Solutions Center has disappeared

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a laptop HP Pavilion series g.  After using my Officejet Pro 8600 for about a year with great success, all of a sudden when I click on the icon of the printer to my desktop, the Solutions Center (used to give me the menu scanning, etc.) disappeared.  Now, when I click on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 icon, I get a screen that asks if I want A) connect a new printer, B) reconfigure wireless settings or C) add more software.

My wireless settings are fine, and I have no problem to print wireless from any of my computers or other devices.  I can even scan in the menu of the printer, but I prefer to analyse in the menu of the computer, because it allows me to customize the settings more.

I reinstalled the drivers once today, but it does not solve my problem.

    Help, please?

    ~ Cricket

    Salvation of Cricket,

In the temp folder, open the most recent 7z folder of the installation of HP where the MSI file.

Click once on the way to the top folder, it will go the way of the real folder.

    Copy this path.

Right-click on the 64.msi x file and choose repair, once the error appears click Browse and paste the path copied to this folder, then it should complete the repair as expected.

If the problem persists, click on uninstall unser start > programs > HP > HP Officejet Pro 8600 to remove the software.

Then reinstall the software by clicking on the Setup.exe icon in your temp folder 7z folder.

Please let me know of any problems,

Last week, Solution Center of my printer HP Officejet Pro L7780 stopped working, even though I can still print directly from applications. But I can't use the scan feature. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver full several times (after uninstalling using uninstall_L4, cold restarted the printer, remove the DigitalImaging registry key and delete all the files in %Temp%). The re - install seems to be okay except that when I try to open the solution Center, it happens nothing except sound.

This morning, HP Solution Center will not load - just a tone of my computer and nothing loads.  I uninstalled all the HP software and reinstalled a fresh copy of HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver (v14.8.0) Pro.  Everything was working fine a few days ago, but my computer did an Auto-setting Windows update last night.  Could this be the problem - some new incompatibility?

  • Adding printers Wireless Solution Center

I am running Win7 and after restarting my wireless network, wireless (Photosmart C7250 Photosmart Premium C410a) printers have been added in windows using the window adds a printer.  Now, the HP Solution Center does not see wireless printers.  Is there an easy way to add them to the center of solution since they are on the network (with a different IPv4 address of initial installation)?

Look in your Start menu all programs for the HP folder with printer software. You should see an option "add a printer". To avoid this problem in the future I would set a static ip address for the printer.

Uninstall the HP software. When you reinstall the drivers and full software features, select Wireless. After this download and install and you print, then go to plug in the USB cable.

Hello everyone. I understand that you have to open the Printer Wizard. To troubleshoot the defective Printer Wizard, follow the steps described in this document from HP: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03640384

Note: The title of the document concludes that the program opens with a Script error. However, the troubleshooting steps are exactly the same. Essentially, the software needed to start the program was not installed successfully, or blocked.

Please let know me when you are done troubleshooting. I'm only here to help!

  • OfficeJet J6480 and Solution Center

Currently, there is no update for my Officejet J6480 and the Solution Center with Windows 7.  I am able to print, scan, fax, etc.  What is the deadline for the update of the Solution Center?

The full download of features for windows 7 will be available for your product at the end of January 2010. However, the Windows 7 operating system contains a solution to your product base driver. Some of the advanced features of these products are only available with the full features of HP driver. good news, it's using workaround procedures, you can still print in a software program. In addition, you can import and display images on a memory card, if your product has a memory card slot.

Please follow the instructions to install the driver of Basic for windows 7 and then go over workaround procedures to use the features available for your product that are available which can be accessed from the following link:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01887433

Windows 7 comes with the built-in enforcement fax and scan.  You can access by typing in Fax and Scan in search programs and files box, and clicking the Windows Fax and Scan icon that appears at the top of the Start Menu.

While I am an employee of HP, I'm not an expert on all our products. When I offer advice, I do not speak for HP.

  • OfficeJet J4680: HP Solution Center has stopped working with Windows 10

From today, after the last version 10 of Windows Update to the HP Solution Center software won't start/open.  After clicking to open, there is a beep and nothing.  No dialogue error or indication that something does not, but the program does not start.

He had worked all the way up through yesterday with the latest versions of the Solution Center and Windows 10 installed.  The only change was an update today which says that it was just an update to the flash player security.

I uninstalled and reinstalled twice, checked to make sure that my private network settings were OK, all to nothing done.  I need it to scan documents.

    Anyone with ideas?

There is a problem with the last Windows security update.  It disables some flash programs, including the HP Solutions Center uses to load.

    Here's a solution:

Enter "View installed updates" in the search bar of Windows.  It will show you an option in Control Panel.

    Click the appropriate option.

Select the "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3132372)" and an uninstall option will appear next to the drop-down list to organize.

Click on uninstall and work through all the guests.

Once uninstalled, the HP Solution Center will work.

  • HP HP Officejet 4500 g Solution Center: does not open. Worked yesterday morning, did not work yesterday afternoon.

Hi all!  Yesterday morning, I scanned in some documents by using the Center, HP solutions, and later in the day that I was not able to open the Solution Center and got a message saying that my installation was not complete?  I've used this for years with little problem.  I also ran printing HP and Scan doc and shows the printer installed, but when I continue it said that I have to reinstall.

I took the printer to the printer menu, added the printer, but still no luck.

I watched 10 Windows update and found that a lot has been downloaded yesterday some time.  I wonder if anyone has reported problems with updates.  This happened again and when I uninstalled the offending file, everything was fine.

I can print, I can copy, but I can't scan which is very convenient.

I'm not trying to uninstall and reinstall everything just because it creates more problems...

    Any thoughts? Help!

    Mary Anne

OK, I uninstalled and reinstalled.  I was not as painful as I expected.

    Works fine now.

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n Solution: Officejet 4500 G510n Solution Center error

Solution Center has scan well under Windows 7 home.

After the upgrade to Windows 10 error message "HP solution Center cannot run because your installation of the device is not complete."

went to HP Support installed new software page but keep the same condition.

    Hello!
Welcome to the HP community @Josepr,

I read about the problems of scanning you have faced after the upgrade to Windows 10 and I wanted to answer to help with my own suggestions.

First step: clean boot, restart the PC and try the install again.

    1. start by typing "msconfig" in the search box of Cortana, and then click MSConfig (run command)
On your keyboard press Windows + R key at same time and type Msconfig in the run window, and then click OK or press ENTER.

    2. now, choose Selective startup

    3. Remove the check of the Load Startup items

    4. click on the Services tab

    5. check "hide all Microsoft Services" and then click on disable all

    6. click apply , then OK

7 restart the PC and temporarily disable firewalls or antivirus programs

8 run the Installation Wizard for Windows HP printer to install the printer

9 turn on the firewall and start services

Second step: you unregister and re-register the Windows Installer Service:

    1. hold down the Windows key + R to fill the box "Run" and type cmd.exe, and then click OK.
    2. at the command prompt, type msiexec /Unregister , and then press ENTER.
    3. at the command prompt, type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.
    4. at the command prompt, type exit and press ENTER to close the command prompt.
    5. run the Wizard for Windows HP printer installation

Step 3: run System File Checker Scan (up to 3 times) to repair the corrupted system files:
    1. go to start
    2. type CMD
3 right-click and run as administrator
    4. to check and repair the OS type sfc/scannow (note the space between sfc and ' / ')

You may need to run this upward to 3 times to solve all the problems

When finished, it will say one of three things
Windows did not find any breach of integrity (a good thing)
Windows resource protection found corrupt files and repair the (good)
Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some (or all) of them (not a good thing)

    Try to reinstall the printer.

Step 4: activate the built-in Windows administrator account

    source

    1. first of all, you'll need to open an administrator mode command prompt by right-clicking and choosing "run as Administrator" (or use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Enter in the search box).

Note that it works the same in all versions of Windows. It just search for cmd and then do a right-click on the icon of the command prompt in the start menu or the boot screen.

    2. If you are in Windows 8.x or 10 you can click on the Start button and choose to open a command prompt in this way.

    3. now type the following command:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

    4. you should see a message that the command completed successfully. Log out, and you will now see the administrator as a choice account.

You will notice that there is no password for this account, so if you want to leave it enabled, you must change the password.

    Try to reinstall the printer.

Testify of my answer by hitting the thumbs to the top slot

Click on the button "Accept as Solution" if I helped you reach a solution.

Good luck, I hope this information helps

I have a local network with two PCs and the printer is connected via the net. The PC is running XP and there, the center of Solution works OK. But not on the other who runs the Vista.
