I have printers located in our offices throughout the country and want to be able to see the current page count, or get an automatic count of the pages report sent to our main office through HPConnected email without having to put every machine on the instant ink.

Is it possible to see a number of pages by HP connected without having instant ink turned on?

    Hey @DelAssist,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.

I understand that you wonder if it would be possible to check the page account using HP connected without registering in the instant the ink program. As communication page account is for tracking and billing, it is not possible to use this feature without being registered or handwritten no instant printers.

If you are wanting to remotely track the total page counter and have a VPN, you can enter the IP address of the printer to access the printer's built-in web server and check how many total pages there. You can also have a printer print a self-test report or State and will show total number of pages in the printer.

MelanieHello and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have questions about your number of pages.  I would like to help.

The built-in web server does not account for pages printed not across the network.  The number of printer pages all the elements. 1434 pages were not printed through the network, therefore, not counted in the SAP.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Number of pages printer Officejet 4630:4630

I would like to see how many pages my new printer has printed so far.  I printed the page of diagnosis but don't know exactly how to interpret the information.  I see the point 21 which reads PG = 149 doesn't that mean that the printer has printed 149 pages during his life?  Or is the information elsewhere?  Is there information on the number of pages since the last ink cartridge change?

    Thank you

The printer does not keep track of the pages since the last cartridge, but for the Officejet 4630, line 21, PG = 149 line has a current account relative to the total number of printed pages.  If your printer is connected to a network you can also find the number of pages in the Web server integrated (EWS) in the printer.  The SAP is accessible by finding the address IP address of the printer, and then put this address in your browser.  This would save printing a page.

I have a spreadsheet where I followed my Officejet 8620 monthly pages printed so I can decide if the 'Instant ink' program would work for me (and I would need what level).

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: How can I get a report with the total number of pages printed on my HP Officejet Pro 8610?

The number of pages that print is so critical to a choice to use the "HP Instant ink Plan' or not, how can I find the total number of pages that I printed on my brand new (installed 2 days ago) 8610?  And if I can, there are a total of 'resettable' or working capital?  Don't see anything in the user guide and a search gives nothing usable on this blog.

Wireless printer installed on an old PC with Windows XP SP3.  I also of course install with cable network but so far it works well on my home network without a network cable.  Is there any operating system, I also have a laptop Lenovo Vista on which I can install this printer.

Please do not answer I can find total by counting the number of pieces of paper that I have.  Surely the inner workings of this beautiful machine must have the requested data as well as HP can say my consumption if I select the monthly plan of ink!

This 8610 was a good buy (net $89,00 after the resumption of my six years, Deskjet J36xx) at Office Depot/Max who has of course influenced my decision to purchase.  So far, I am very happy with the print quality and speed, have not yet tried the scanner and will probably never use the fax machine since I have no land line phone.

    Thank you

  • HP Officejet 4632: Scanning and printing photos

How many pages it can scan simultaneously? Is there a certain type of photo paper that should be used with this printer?

    Hi @Faye24,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request.

I understand that you have questions about scan using your HP Officejet 4632 e-all-in-one printer and photo paper. I would like to help.

There are two ways to analyze, either starting from the glass tray, or by using the automatic Feeder (ADF) of Document.

You can scan pages as much as you want. The ADF has a capacity of 50 sheets, so able to load 50 pages up there, if you had to.

The big glass dish limits you to a single page at a time, but when you scan with the HP software it is a button that allows you to scan and create a multiple page PDF when scanning of the bucket.

If you need assistance with the analysis please let me know what what operating system your computer is running so I can provide the appropriate documentation.

When it comes to photo paper, photo paper sizes supported and weight.

HP recommends using HP photo for best results of printing paper. You can click here to see the photo paper HP is available.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • OfficeJet 4632 all-in-one: printer all-in-one

I have a new officejet 4632, and when I type the fax number I can't separate the digits with dashes. example 1-999-9999 mine watch 1999999 owners booklet says to repeat by tapping the star, on the printer keypad key, until it appears. It is not the case and I think it's a design flaw. I tried to call to h.p. to know avail. I hate to take it back to Wal-Mart! If anyone can help me I would be grateful. Thank you charsand1967

    Hey @charsand1967,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are having problems when sending faxes from your new all-in-one printer from HP Officejet 4632. I want to help you with this today. Now, on these new printers there is not need to add dashes when faxing.

    1. You simply arrow down () to the Fax option and select OK
    2. Choose Black or color fax and press OK
    3. Enter the fax number. The number will appear as a long sequence. It's normal. Press OK when you have finished entering the number.
    4. The fax must now compose and send

The only time where you need to worry about putting a dash (-) is when a break is necessary. Breaks are necessary only if you use a card call or card long distance for fax. The break would be added so you can also enter a PIN code with the fax number.

Example: Calling card PIN - 1 (area code) fax number. For example I will use 256 PIN calling card and the fax number of the purposes will be HP Technical Support. When the fax is sent, I would enter the calling card PIN first, then a pause, followed by the fax number. It should look like this:

    • 256-18004746836

With some calling cards, a longer break is necessary. If you need to create a longer break, you can put two dashes.

    • 256 - 18004746836

If you don't need a card call or long distance card, simply enter the fax as a sequence of numbers number and click OK to start Fax.

Please let me know if this clears up any confusion. Good luck!

  • HP Envy 7640: Number of page overview

I have been using HP Instant Ink since February 2015 program.  I started with the 100 page and 20 additional for $1.00.

The first cycle (February-March), I used almost 300 additional (100 base + 156) pages, so I thought that I should go to the 300 page and 25 extra for the program of $1.00.

Next month (March-April), I used 344 pages.  The first 300 were covered for basic costs. And 4 pages have been tagged Rollover.  40 extra pages loaded at 2 x $1.00 is $2.00.  I understand the extra cost, but I don't understand came 4 flipping pages.

The months following (April-May), I used only 252 pages.  I thought that I had 48 pages to the reversal.

The months following (May-June), I used only 127 pages.  I thought I had 173 pages to the reversal, giving me a balance of 221.

Next month (Jun - Jly) I used only 170 pages.  I thought I had 130 pages to the reversal, giving me a new balance of 351.

According to the "instant InkTerms of the HP Service", I realized that during the time I was on page 300 25 extra for the program of $1.00, I was allowed up to 300 pages of page flipping.  According to him, "the total number of Pages of Service Plan more rolling Pages that you have at your disposal under the Service in each month may not exceed twice the number Service Plan pages to which you are entitled under your Service Plan."  Me that lying 300 pages for the plan and 300 pages in rotation, for a total of 600 pages for these three months I had this level of plan.

Because I realized that most of the time I had the top-level plan I did not nearly that many pages, I decided to return to the regime of 100 pages with 20 additional pages for $1.00.  I thought I had a balance of reversal of 351 pages.

Next month (Jly-August), I used 304 pages.  The first 100 pages were the use of the base.  The next 100 were no page fresh working capital, bringing the balance of my rolling to 251.  And I was charged $6.00 for the next 104 pages.  I guess it was 5 x $1.00 for the first 100 pages and $ 1.00 for 4 pages.

Even if the next cycle (August-September) is not yet completed, today I watched my story.  What I've seen, it's confusing.  So far, I've printed 145 pages.  The first 100 pages go against my use of the base.  But only 16 pages are listed as reversal.  And 29 pages are listed as additional.

Why aren't a not 45 pages (16 + 29) rolling all?  I think I have up to 100 pages allowed to tread.  I think that at least 55 pages that print from now until the end of the cycle should go to front bearing I am charged for additional pages.  And I think that would bring the balance of my rolling up to 251 pages to use in the next cycle (100 for sept-Oct) and the other (100 for Oct - Nov) and the next (51 for (Nov - Dec).

The instructions to include as much information as possible.  It sounds like a lot of details, but I'm confused.  Is my logic faulty?  Can someone explain to me?

It's a bit complicated, I fit my replies to your message below.  Disclaimer - I don't use instant ink, but I find my 8620 Pro Officejet inside and I think I can answer all your questions.

Feb - Mar, you used 156 additional pages.  That would have been charged as 8 other sets of pages for $8, with additional 160.  You used 156 additional pages, leaving 4 pages to derail.

The months following (April-May), I used only 252 pages.  I thought that I had 48 pages to the reversal.

    Yes.

No, the maximum bearing would be limited to 300 pages, making a total of 600 pages available.

Sorry, you are only allowed to drive on a full month pages.  When you change to 100 pages per month plan you could ride only 100 pages. Excess working capital pages are lost.

Yes, except for that you used only 4 of 20 pages in the last block you would have 16 pages available to working capital.

The above should clear up things, although probably not what you wanted to hear.  You can find more information on the page of instant ink here.
