HP officejet 4650 output tray Extender fake message

When you ask 4650 HP Officejet to print it comes up with a message "wait until printing is complete before pushing in the output extension tray" and nothing prints. The output extension tray is not yet released. I only had it a week, but I properly print docs of her. I tried the hard reset turn off to the sector for 60 s and realign the impression, the extension of the tray came out fine for this! Please advise!

Hi @MarianneBritten,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you have a printer all-in-one HP OfficeJet 4650 do not print and displays an error message that says "wait until printing is finished before pushing in the output extension tray. I would like to help with that.

I would like to start by making a power reset the printer.

Once the power reset is complete, try to print a report using the control panel of the printer.

1 load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the paper tray.

2. in the printer control panel, press Tools.

3. press on the report on print quality.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

Thank you!

    Hi @Ashutosh-Dubey,.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1510 printer gives you a false error message, the display status bar. I will definitely do my best to help you.

I would like to do a Hard Reset to see if that will solve the problem.

    • Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  • LaserJet M1212nf MFP output bin extender

The LaserJet M1212nf MFP comes with the output tray Extender indicated in the installation guide? I could not find in the shipping box.  It maybe unfold some compartment hidden in the body of the printer?

    Hello fizzix2002,

Yes, the output tray Extender will be delivered with the unit, inside the box and must be installed after unboxing conversion (described here as the fourth step).

Should be stored separately somewere inside your box, as for example the power cord and visible, it is not that small.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 output tray

How do remove you the output tray for legal size paper.

    Hi columbia530,

You should be able to extend the output tray on the legal situation. If it seems to be stuck, you may need to push in, then spring one or two times to the release. Be sure and be careful when you pull the tray does not break the flap at the end of the output tray.

  • 8600: broken extendable output tray

I need the Nomenclature of the printer in order to identify the part number so I can order it.

The pods that stop pivots on broke the EXTENDABLE OUTPUT TRAY, and now there is nothing no prevents the paper ended on the ground.

    Doomed to failure.

Thanks for your help.  However, you add the part to the basket, go to the store, and it is that you get!  I'm going to their phone when they open.   I hope that the part number is good, a scheme of BOM parts is really necessary to confirm.

  • HP OfficeJet 5740: Auto output tray

    Hope that helps.

How to install a new bin for output on this unit?  My only current broke.

    Hi diane920,

I regret that these instructions were not useful. Please lift the current output tray, then lift the right side to pop out of position, then the left and remove the plate. If this does not work, it has a little more it will pop out of place to allow you to put the new squirm.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 e-All-in: how to remove the output tray on my HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 e-all-in-one printer

I can't remove the output tray.  I do some print double-sided (one in color, the other b & w).  It's time to remove the main input tray to place paper for side 2.  It would be much easier to take the 1 side printed just as it ended, and then set it just fine on top of the blank sheets in the main input tray to print page 2.

I can't remove the output tray.  The store clerk said that it should be easy to remove and re - install, but that it can be kept in place by a piece of tape.

I'm prone to breaking things, I am working on that.  I don't want to break my 4 month old printer!

    Any ideas?  Thank you.

The main part of the output tray is not removable.  There are a few alternatives: the tray can be removed partially opened and printed pages, loaded in it - it should not be necessary to remove the tray completely.

The other possibility would be to simply print using the auto duplexer.  If you are printing on plain paper or paper index, it should work, it would not be suitable for printing on the back of the photo paper.

Thank you for joining the Forums of HP Support!

I noticed that you are unable to print from your email to your HP Officejet 4650 printer accounts. Gmail, Yahoo, and SmarterMail are web-based email clients which means that they are using a Web browser.

It seems that the printer is not selected in the print dialog box. Please ensure that you select your printer. Otherwise, it could use a PDF or Microsoft OneNote Driver, printer etc.

Are you able to print from MS Word, Notepad, or WordPad?

In the meantime, I would reset the settings of your browser to see if that solves the problem.

    1. Close all Internet Explorer Windows or Explorer Windows that are currently open.

    2. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

    3. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.

    4. Click on the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.

    5. Select the check box delete personal settings if you want to delete the browsing history, search providers, accelerators, home pages, and InPrivate filtering data.

  • OfficeJet 4650: 0XB8000508 error Code

I get an error code on the front screen of my printer, 0XB8000508.  I'm not finding it in one of the forums.  I can get it to go away by turning the printer off and then back on.  But it has happened twice now.  Can you give me some answers as to what is this error and how to correct?

    Hi gawright59,

I'm sorry to hear that your printer is getting an error code.  Here is a document that presents several of these errors and describes how to reset the printer when they occur.  http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-4650-all-in-one-printer-series/5447930/document/c00489814/

There are several error messages that come from the printer and there is no definition of what each of them average.  It is an indicator of an internal error in the printer State.

As you can see from the document - reset of the printer is the only step of troubleshooting for these errors.  If this error persists, you may need to replace the printer.  If the printer is under warranty I would recommend that you contact HP customer support (the link is in the above document) to set up an Exchange.   If the printer is out of warranty - continue to reset it for as long as retrieves the unit.  You can start shopping for another printer.

I hope this helps, and I hope that the error appears again.

    Jean
