HP Officejet 6310 - how choose rolls? ("On paper")

A friend gave me a 6310 AIO without drivers or the USB cable. I decided to see if she would print a test page and copy before I have took the trouble to find a cable and by downloading and installing the drivers (and updates).

I get the dreaded "of paper.

I watched the video troubleshooting and got to the part about the cleaning of the rollers and the 'pick '. But I only see a single roll of decision-making (way back in the back door).

This printer has only a pick roller? Cleaning it would help?

Presumably, this is a barely used machine.

Thank you.

Yes, this the cleaning roll can help. Sometimes the rollers get dusty and are not able to choose the paper and send it through.

Clean with water and not fluffy and see if that helps.

  • My OfficeJet 6310 on the latest drivers for Windows XP, does not make the PDF thumbnails?

I was too tired of Adobe and too often updates security etc.

If I traded in open source Sumatra PDF instead.

It was there of loong, but then I got an OfficeJet 6310 and now scans much paper in PDF files, which works very well (if the value of the resolution is less than 300 dpi), except that no image of the thumbnail is created! It's embarrassing because I like sail to explore using the prior view of thumbnails.

I don't like the idea of return to Adobe PDF Reader, then I ask you out there if anyone has an idea where the problem is maybe?

    Thanks in advance

    Peter

Well, since no one has replied, I started to experiment.

I have re-installed Adobe Reader (sighh) again and found that the registry has been added:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{49400A7C-81A8-4F52-8CCE-D54739EE87EC}
    Adobe PDF Preview Handler
    AppID       {5D238751-7E51-4F24-9E7D-93C58881B20B}
    DisplayName @"C:\Programmer\Reader\pdfprevhndlrshim.exe",-101

There is therefore, seems to add some sort of "plug-in" for MS Explorer, which can act on the creation of tile and similar.

Now my wife can use the freeware of Xplorer2 fancy, and it will beautifully preview PDFs in navigating the file system.

So until a fancy OpenSource community finds interesting to build this similar functionality, I'll stick with Adobe, so my wife just to navigate its abundant PDF files.

Hope this tip can be useful for some of you.

  • How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?

How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?  I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit.

It's strange.  Looks like you have a second paper tray and put it to the default tray.  The second paper tray only supports the types of paper that show on your list.  It's strange because unless you have purchased a second tray paper, plus model has one.  Does only the high-end model.  Other than that, only certain types of media can be duplex, so if you have double-sided printing, it can limit the selection.  I'll watch what else could be the cause and get back to you.

  • Signal repeated on Officejet 6310 all-in-One paper jam

My all-in-one OfficeJet 6310 repeatedly says "Paper jam" when there is no paper jam, and I have to keep pressing OK until the printer prints.  Sometimes the back panel pops out and I have to re - insert.  Sometimes the paper (I use HP paper) feeds wrong on one side and jams.  Usually before the printer indicates "Paper jam" there is a dull inside, as if the printer is going through a series of internal cycles. Then a blank sheet of paper feeds through.  This printer, renovated, was sent to me by HP as a replacement in 2007.  It works fine on the copy, scan and fax.  Printing is the big problem.  All the answers?  I can't see all pieces of paper or something in the printer.  I use a HP Pavilion Notebook PC DV4307cl with Windows XP.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6230: Officejet Pro 6230 continous (not of paper) paper jam error

As soon as the printer powers on it the ink carrier Wizz backward real quick (as he struggles to move) and then gives me a paper jam error (the resume light flashes and error appears on my screen). He did the same thing when I try to print anything (including the status report page).

When I up the access panel upward (power on), the carrier of ink isn't even move to ink cartridges which can be changed. I try to move with force, but it does not move (if I use more strength, somethings will break). Ink is a bit new, so I don't know it still has ink in there.

    The steps I've tried:

plugged the power supply into the wall outlet

    roller cleaning

THERE IS NO PAPER or PAPER PIECES BETWEEN ROLLERS (I checked like 20 times)

    reset the printer

There is a large black gear coupled to a white average speed on the left side near the bottom of the printer. I manually drove the speed by pressing (rotation) of North (or forward or to the rear of the printer) for a few seconds and once I did that. the ink carrier was able to move as it's supposed to, and I could see the ink. but once the power is back on, the carrier of ink was in the locked position and fights again and gives me the paper jam error.

I don't have really any troubleshooting documents on the CV online on how to fix a jammed media of ink and clearing paper jams, so I'm out of options.

    It is plugged into USB

The main problem is the paper jam error.

I don't know if the stuck carrier of ink is the cause.

  • Rolls of paper need for lubrication loading

How can I locate and lubricate the wheels of loading paper on Officejet 6500 Wireless

    Hi DocE,

You do not have. You can clean the water and lint rollers, but I recommend their lubrication.

Debris on the paper rolls may interfere with the sensors of paper inside the product. Follow these steps to clean the rolls of paper to do make sure no remains of paper inside the product.

    Clean the rollers

    1. Gather the following materials:

      • A clean and lint cloth, or any fabric that won't come apart or leave fibers

      • Distilled, filtered or bottled water (tap water may damage the product)

    2. Press the power button ( ) to activate the product.

    3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product.

    4. Remove the rear access door or the duplexer at the back of the product.

      • To remove the rear access door: Press the two release buttons towards each other and then pull the door away from the product.

      • To remove the duplexer: Press the buttons on the sides of the duplex unit and then pull the duplexer towards you.

    5. Slightly dampen a clean, lint place with bottled or distilled water and press any excess fluid from the cloth.

    6. Press the fabric against the rollers and rotate upwards with your fingers. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to remove any accumulation of dust or dirt.

    7. Wait until the rollers to dry for 10-15 minutes.

      • If the product has a rear access door , attached to the back of the product.

      • If the product has a duplexer , proceed to the next step.

    Clean the filter switch

    1. Check the duplexer paper rolls to make sure they are clean, free from pieces of paper and turn freely.

    2. Clean the surface of the duplexer rollers you cleaned the big rollers inside the product in the same way.

    3. Wait until the rollers of the duplex unit to dry for 10-15 minutes.

    4. Replace the duplexer. Gently push the door forward until what it snaps.

    5. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.

    6. Press the power button ( ) to activate the product.

  • Officejet 6310 all-in-One: can't send faxes from the computer screen

We use an Officejet 6310 all-in-one printer. Computer of my wife, a laptop Toshiba Satellite Windows 7 Professional, has suddenly come to the point that it will no longer send faxes from the computer screen. We get an error message that something must be installed or reinstalled. We have lost the CD of the software provided with the printer. We can send a fax if we have a document printed to power the machine, and we can print faxes. We lose a lot of paper and ink because of this problem. Help, please.

    Hi GregsterMc,

Given that the Fax icon is not displayed in the window of printers and devices, you need to uninstall and reinstall the software again. This should solve the problem.

    Thank you.

  • How to clear a paper jam?

    Hello

I you guys are going to show how to remove a paper jam. If any of you have problems with a message on a HP printer paper jam, I would suggest the following steps.

First of all, if you encounter a problem with a paper jam, you can follow this video which should guide you in the jam of compensation.

Now, if the video does not solve the problem for you please follow this document that will guide you through cleaning and clearing of the jam rolls.

This document contains the instructions to clear a paper jam. Plain paper, paper, envelopes, or specialty can get blocked or stuck in the printer. Follow the instructions to find and remove the jammed paper (or other paper) of the printer.

If by chance, none of these steps solve the problem I suggest call HP @8004746836 and see what are the options that they have on the repair or replacement of the printer.

    I hope it's useful.

  • all-in-one Officejet 6310: officejet 610 all-in-one in offline and don't watch does not reinstall in windows 8

I have a Wondows 8.1 and a printer portable all-in-one officejet 6310.  I have my printer installed and works fine on my laptop, but out of the blue one day that the printer will be offline and restarting the computer and printer does not correct.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the computer many times - this helps for about a week before it disconnects again.

Now when I uninstall my laptop says there is no printer in range and lists no printer for me to install.  When I tried to manually in my printer - doesn't say that there is no such printer available.  Any suggestions?  Apparently this ONLY happens to me on my computer and not someone else in the home on their laptops - we have a total of 4 laptops in the House all on the same router and using the same printer.  Oh how I feel like a fool with windows 8.  Someone at - it helps or good suggestions for me? PLEASE? !!

Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. I recently became very angry because my iPad was not charging, the end came unplugged from the wall charger! Laughing out loud

This problem can be caused by outdated closed ware, contradictory I.P within the router, etc. I have worked on a Thread revolving around Windows 8.1 for awhile, check it out for some possible future troubleshooting operations.

There are steps to add the printer a way, assign a static IP, check that some updates are installed by Microsoft, etc.

  • Text in blue the occultation in officejet 6310

I was pulling my hair out trying to fix a problem printing with text fonts.  My Officejet 6310 wants to print a pale blue shadow under the text in bold .  Doesn't seem to matter where I... internet print or word document.  I checked all the font settings, unplugged my printer several times missed the doctor print and nothing seems to help.  I played around with settings of 'high quality' and that didn't seem to help.  I noticed when I print photos of ancestry.com, they seem a bit fuzzy too so I don't know if it is a problem of color cartridge.

It seems to show a text light blue shade.

The only work-around, I was able to fix with it's choose the preference for "black ink only" in the color management.

I only use HP inks.  I have Windows 7 and my HP 6310 Officjet is not that old.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I have to keep that in mind if I continue to have a problem.   However; It seems to be a color ink cartridge problem!  I removed the cartridges and cleaned the area of conection with a q.  But... I noticed my colour cartridge was very dirty and it took me 6 Qtips to remove any ink from the outside, so I think it was oozing too much ink and interfering with the print quality.  Once reinserted, it seemed to print correctly.  OUCH... took me 6 days to discover it!  Because the cartridge is relatively new, I have it has not verified and have not run the cleaning function.  Cleaning by hand, it was certainly necessary, because this cartridge was terrible!  Thank you so much for coming back with me so fast!

  • I have a HP Officejet 6310 and want to install it on my new HP Pavilion Touchsmart Sleekbook 14.

I have a HP Officejet 6310 and just bought a new HP Pavilion Touchsmart 14 - b109wm sleekbook.  How do we install the old printer on my new computer? The printer has a cable to the computer. Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hi RSM288,

    Welcome to the HP forums!

To install your Officejet 6310 on your new Touchsmart PC, I highly recommend that you download and run the HP printer installation wizard. This tool will find and download the software for you on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. You can leave the USB cable plugged all the time and that makes things easier as well

Let me know if that helps!

  • Scanner driver problems/communication HP Officejet 6310

Background: buy new pc in 2006 (XP Pro)... Bought Officejet 6310 shortly after.  Installation of the software for printing (on the cd) was perfect and as directed.  Computer HP P7 portable bought in 2011, software downloaded from the HP website, installation was still perfect and according to the guidelines.

This week, I upgraded the old pc from 2006 with new boards (re-used only the cases and the power supply).  Running Win 7 Pro 64-bit.  AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141 downloaded from HP, has begun to install.  Problem started when, during the installation process, I turned on the Officejet 6310 and plugged the USB cable as shown. The below screen appeared... not all devices have been installed.  He remained that way for several minutes... the photo below was my first indication something was wrong.

After waiting for about 3 minutes, it appeared.

Following the instructions, I unplugged and rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled the software... I have downloaded and run the Print and Scan doctor... he could not solve the problem either ('Unable to communicate scanning pilot' was the last word of the doctor).  On my fifth attempt to re - install the software, I got this result.

I sat and waited, and waited, and the software concluded that she had properly installed, even if the photo above also indicates.  At this point, I can print it, but it takes forever and hesitates when printing as if very little data is done by the intermediary.  If I try to use the scanner via the control center, I get the message not found 'HP imaging device.  Also, sometimes, my computer not turn off unless I turn the printer off (the "Shutting down" message remains on the screen until the printer is turned off).

And this message was not present at the end of each attempt installation of the printer:

Then... I followed all the instructions (I think), changed USB ports, tried the print and scan doctor... I don't know what else to do.  Been working with it for a day and a half and I'm out of ideas.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    [Edited 14/07/12]

One of my friends said that it might be that, since the printer is 6 years old, 64-bit operating system can cause problems and HP probably wouldn't need much resources, writing drivers for everything.  I hope that HP support for their products is better than that.  My Officejet 6310 is not ready to be retired!

    [Published 15/07/12]

Stop the presses!  I'm a little red-faced now... at some point I have disabled Windows Update (I do not remember doing that, but anyway...) I saw that by accident, turned back on and installed the printer software.  I noticed that Windows Update several files and installation of the driver software window indicated that everything was successful.  BUT... I still have a problem with the scanner, but it's a different error... See the image below.

I can print ok, I can copy ok, but I can't scan with the HP Solution Center or the physical button on the printer.  It is here where I am now.

If you have spent any time trying to understand the first problem out, I apologize for my lapse in not ensuring that Windows Update has been enabled.  If anyone has any ideas on the situation as it is, please respond here.  Thank you all for research.

I think I found the problem, although it seems so unlikely for me... I replaced the USB cable and installed the printer software and everything worked fine.  To prove that the cable was at fault, I close the printer down and installed the old cable... the State seemed yet, but when I launched a scan he loses communication before the scan is finished.  I turned off the printer and installed the USB cable replacement and performed the function of scan with no problems.  I repeated this scenario again with the same results... with the original cable (that came with the printer 6 years ago) I had communication errors at the beginning or after a scan.  Installing replacement cable took care of the problem every time.

How can a cable go bad?  I don't understand this.  In any case, it seems to be fixed now... thanks to all that looked and perhaps thought about my problem.  I guess I'll leave the message here for reference.

After the end of the excerpt, it stops just running. It should go in the installation process, but it doesn't. Can someone help me?

See if you can find the folder of extraction of HP that he created, then run the installer in there.
