HP Officejet 6500E710a-f in network - scan does not. printing works fine.

Post again - not sure it went through the first time.

My laptop MAC (10.6.8) network with my "Big Mac" (Maverick).  I used to be able to scan, print, and the Big Mac could use my lap top I-tunes as well.  I can print, but I can't scan or use I-tunes.

Help!

Thanks, AK (redcharvel)

Hello

problem solved - I didn't turn off the printer on and outside.  DUH!  I did the repair disk utility, and that did nothing.  Then I plugged the lap top directly to the printer (and restarted the printer).  It worked.  For grins, I thought I would try the option of sharing between the two printers and that worked!  Thanks for your help.

    How can I fix?

    Hi @AnnisMonadjem,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print to your printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you have noticed that the port is causing problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

    • Update the firmware of the printer.
    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • You have a double router broadband? Make sure that the two groups were not the same network name.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP printer. IPV4 address
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.
    • Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    • Test printing and scanning.

If the problem persists, download and run this patch rollup: resolving printing issues in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

    • Try printing and scanning.

In addition, if you are still having problems try the steps in this guide, HP printers - "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 7).

  • 8600 visible on the network, but does not print wireless

I can see the 8600 on my airport network, but does not display the work sent wireless (no error msg, stay in the queue). To print correctly if the USB cable is connected. Also see a separate network of 8600, but do not have a WEP key for it and don't see how to create one, so it won't let me join this network. Don't see any info on this in your pages and support forums.

It was a very good question. I looked at my list of printer and there are 2 8600 s that are listed.  I think we could be active when the printer is connected via the cable and one for when it is wireless. I went by default and had no trouble in a wireless printing sheet.  It is probably a mistake on my part of the user, but I don't remember adding a second printer in the menu printing. I'll play around with it and remove an if it is not necessary. Thanks for your help.

  • OfficeJet 6000 E609n: One color (black) does not print

Background the color black does not print.
Background page printed from the printer status indicates that there is no black ink. This impression has said that there is sufficient (at least 20%) supply of three coloured inks. Per the comment above, no black printing does appear on the page printed of the status of the printer, even if the black cartridge has been rather recently installed (2015-12-24).
Background none of the four "low ink" lights on the printer are turned on.
Background the State indicated by the HP Solution Center utility displays a green check mark, that is to say, that everything is OK.
Background the "estimated ink levels" in the utility HP Solution Center indicate that the black ink cartridge is about 60% full.
Background I've done the first of these two cleaning procedures to clean the print head. It produces no change. (In fact twice.)
Background I removed the power cord to the printer and unplugged the power cord from the source and then wait 10 seconds. Then I reconnected things together. Nothing has changed.
Background I cleaned the vent for the black cartridge.
Background I replaced the black cartridge. The level indicated on the "Estimated ink levels" in the HP Solution Center utility now indicate that the black ink cartridge is 100% full.  No change.

Background now, I think that the problem may be the print head.  I am discouraged.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi @Upper_Left,

It seems as if the HP product registration service is temporarily unavailable.

Normally you get invited to register immediately after installation is complete.

It's a Web page that can help you know if the printer is listed, or as aid re-register once the number of available service - Registration Question Index.

The term of defective kernel is used which means that the defective part you are replacing is the same part that you send back.

When you select the option to change the replacement part is usually repaired or refurbished, is why there is such a difference in price between the parties. It seems that if the defective part is not returned within the specified time. 'faulty base tax' is loaded.

I can't say for sure 100% that the problem will be resolved to the replacement printhead. If the printer was in warranty, it would be the normal order of operations.

Please click the "accept as Solution" and the "thumbs up" button up on top of my first response above and other similar issues may find the easiest solution.

    Thank you!

  • OfficeJet 6500 has windows 7 Pro, does not print black

Black is not printing, the colors are OK.    Changed the black cartridge for a new a (genuine HP!), no change.   Checked inserted cartridge etc OK.

Tried to open the screen of the wizard to do the alignment, cleans the heads but had the same problem mentioned on another post, the assistant is beyond.

Tried the update of the software 710z, but does not connect via USB.     I know that the cable is OK and printer, Windows gave the found new software message.

Went to the HPPIW. EXE installation method, it is OK, but returned to 710f version.   Not cleaned heads and alignment no impression always on black background.     Tried the diagnosis HPPSdr who told me there is a problem of driver incompatibility.    Deleted the entry of control panel of configuration/printers, uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled, same problem.

In short, impossible to get 710z to connect via USB.   710f tells me that I have a driver incompatibility.  And does not print the problem original, black.

In my view, that covers, all more than welcome advice, this machine is in a store of cats protection Chrity and we desperately need it works again!

Thanks for the advice, given that the machine is under warranty, contact HP and were sent to a replacement machine which works AOK.

  • OfficeJet 6500 and USB on Windows 7 64 bit does not (wireless works fine)

    Hello world.

New printer. WiFi Of my different laptops works very well. However my main system is not in wireless. Try to install via a USB port. When I plug the printer Windows 7 sees it but I can't get the drivers to install correctly to where I can use fax/scan options. I can print, but I can't do anything else. If I go to the device, the printer appears with the correct name, but says that the driver is not installed. If I try to install manually (using the disk) it barfs and says that the driver is not digitally signed.

When I run the installation of the software (I downloaded the new installation driver package Basic and full) and I get to the point he wants me to plug the printer, it starts the installation but then Windows barfs and said "no driver found" and then the HP installation fails. It's almost as if Windows 7 is blocking the device when it cannot find a driver. I tried to disable 'automatically install the drivers', but then the installation of HP does not see the printer when it is plugged.

Basically I'm going nuts and is getting ready to send this printer to Costco, get a Canon. I know the drivers of Canon works because my neighbor has the same configuration as me and his printer, installed fine. I prefer the HP (well, I did) but tired of beating my head against the wall. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you

    . / height

I figured this out. The USB driver would never install. I beat my head against the wall for days and never thought about it. However, I didn't know that I could install the drivers on my main PC with no wireless connectivity wireless. Has a cable LAN connectivity. Apparently my wireless router is smart enough (like most) to send the print queue through my local network to the wireless printer.

So I just installed the software wireless on my 64 bit WIndows 7 system and I print just as if I was of my laptops wireless.

I wanted to just update everyone because it isn't really all that clear that you do know. print even if you are wired to the wireless printer.

    See you soon,.

I have a HP Officejet H470 mobile printer.  I have a problem with the left blinker light ink (color ink). This printer should always print with black ink only, but there is a problem - left flashing and when I try to print something happened any reactions...

I followed the steps of troubleshooting at http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01182351 but it does not solve the problem. I cleaned the contacts on the cartridge and the printer, I bought a new color cartridge but I still have the same problem. Can you help me?

    Hey @miamiparis,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have some problems with a cartridge error on your Officejet H470 printer. I can help you with that, but it seems that you have done all the troubleshooting steps available for this issue. If this is the case, the printer needs to be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking on this link and fill out the form below to discuss the options based on your warranty.

  • MP560 on a Mac OS x networking with Windows 7, recognizes the network but does not print text

I have a Canon Pixma MP560 connected to a MacBook Pro with OS 10.9.5 which is wire connected to the network via a modem from Time Warner Arris TG862 to a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop computer and a desktop computer, Lenovo, which have two Windows 7. The printer is the USB cable connected to the MacBook and works very well. On the Mac in System Preferences > sharing, printer sharing is enabled, the MP560 put highlight and users > 'everyone can print. " and the system of preferences > printers, Scanners & "share this printer on the network" is selected. On the Lenovo and Dell, I installed Hello, and both can 'see' the MP560 and file > print on both, the printer is recognized and activated. BUT she shoots a white sheet; the text is not printed. Obviously there is something that I did not, any box I've unchecked. I'd appreciate any ideas! Thank you.

A few days after posting here, I asked this question on another Canon Website and learned that in similar circumstances to mine described here, Canon recommends that the MP560 "be connected to your Windows computer then shared to your Macintosh', rather than, as in my case, saw the MP560 connected to the Mac and then sharing with Windows computers.

  • OfficeJet Pro 276dw MFP receives but does not print faxes

We see fax incoming page-by-page on the machine, but it does never print.  We can send faxes fine and were able to receive faxes not so long ago.  We crossed on the MFP and the PC settings and everything looks OK.  It's a dedicated fax line.  It will show again received OK when we print a report of the faxes sent/received, but it prints ever.  Thank you.  Here are our current settings:

Updated the software of the printer, re-sat connections and also rebooted the machine and it works now.  Will update if the problem recurs.

  • Networked J6480 does not print after failure

    Hello

I'd appreciate any guidance on how to restore a print with my printer at home. It's a J6480, through a cable network, home. I have a primary Windows Vista Home Premium HP desktop PC and also print (via the Wi - Fi connection and cable) from a laptop Windows 7 RC. I had the printer since December 2008.

After a power outage yesterday, the printer would not print correctly. I turned off the router and printer both. Then check the updates for printer drivers and the PC.

The HP site provides a diagnostic utility, but apparently it only works with printers that are connected through the USB port. I was unable to find a utility for an ethernet connected printer.

For once I've been able to print the Test Page, but at this point, nothing will print, and I'm stuck. The error message provides little guidance, just "error - printing".

Any guidance or suggested next steps would be appreciated.

    Michael

    Solved

The printer is reinstalled and uninstalled all PCs. printer disconnected, then reconnected. Print with different success of two PCs (and two BONES), of several types of files.

  • U330 Ethernet does not, wireless works fine

I have an Ideapad U330, which will not get online with the help of ethernet in windows. Before ask you, no, this isn't my router. When I use a Ubuntu bootable disk, ethernet works fine and I can surf the web without problem. I reformatted and installed windows 7 x 86 (it had windows XP before and the ethernet didn't work there either), installed all the drivers and updated the BIOS, ethernet still does not then that works fine wireless. I thought it was a hardware problem, until the ethernet worked without problem under Ubuntu.

try to use the manual ip configuration instead of dhcp.

My Officejet Pro L7500 has been used for several years without any problems printing.  Recently, my documents printed blue display order.  I replaced the cyan cartridge, and made sure all cartridges have plenty of ink.  I ran the printer to clean the heads, align the cartridges, test print, etc..  Blue ink just doesn't appear.  I also removed the cyan cartridge, blew some air in ink consumption and succeeded him.  The printer gives message that there is a problem.  Is there a solution?

This means that you need a new printhead cyan/black. This youtube show you how to replace the printhead. The print heads are usually sold where get you the cartridges.
