HP Officejet 6700 Premium: Failure to print envelopes

I'm on Windows 8.1, in Microsoft Word 2003.

When I try to print an envelope in a paper letter that includes the return address (my address) and address of delivery, the printer takes in the envelope, but it returns empty.

Overview of the envelope before printing, I checked that Word 2003 sets the addresses of two envelopes correctly.  I have a lot of ink, the envelope is not "smooth" and I checked all the information HP positioning regarding the envelope - the printer still nothing prints on the envelope.

Hi, JeanJAB, and Q_Printer

I'll close this as a probable (perhaps deliberate?) bug in Word 2003 that runs under the classic environment on top of Windows 8.1 and having nothing to do with the printer HP itself.

If I have to deal with the envelopes by hand, so be it.

Thank you both for your efforts and I will be by assigning Bravo immediately after the announcement of this response.

    3. right click on the printer, select printing preferences
    4. in the lower right corner, select Advanced
    5. then according to the characteristics of the printer print in grayscale as a drop-down list will appear select off if its turned on.

  • OfficeJet 6700 premium: store a printer hp officejet 6700

I'll leave my 6700 hp officejet premium in a house in Florida for about 8 months.  The average temperature at 80 degrees.

I was told by the seller (not HP) to remove the ink.  When I try to do, I see a message on the printer screen that warns you that the removal of cartridges may damage the printer.

    Should I leave them in?

They will be ok for about 6 months, or I have to buy all new in January?

    Thank you.

The print heads are permanent, if they get clogged, it can be difficult to retrieve without service.  The printheads in this model cannot be replaced, if they get clogged and can not be recovered, you will need to send to the printer for the service.

The 8040 a Officejet has the printhead into the ink supply.  Cartridges in a printer like that could be removed and soaked in hot water if it was blocked, or replaced if necessary.  This is not the case for the Officejet 6700 you have.

I don't know if the storage for 8 months at high temperatures could cause permanent damage, but it would certainly be a risk.  If you have recently purchased the printer it would be under warranty for a year, in January he would still be under warranty and could be repaired and then if necessary.

    Hi @Jayburn,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that the back comes out on top down, when duplex printing with your HP Officejet 6700 Premium, Windows 7. I am pleased to see that for you!

Please, take a look through this guide, print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing) for HP Officejet Premium 6700 e-all-in-one printer (H711). Follow the instructions for Windows.

    Guidelines General double-sided printing

Do not print on both sides of the following types of paper, or paper jams may occur:

    • Transparencies
    • Envelopes
    • Photo paper
    • Glossy paper
    • Paper lighter than 60 g/m2 (16 lb).
    • Heavier than 105 g/m2 (28 lb) paper.

Several kinds of paper require a specific orientation when you print on both sides of a sheet. It's letterhead, preprinted paper and paper with watermarks and pre-perfores holes. The printer will print the first side of the first book. Load the paper with the top edge first and the side to be printed facing downwards.

    I hope this helps!

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: Officejet 6700 Premium - Support for direct printing HP (Ad Hoc) wireless

Please can someone confirm if you can set the to either ad hoc printing or using HP Officejet 6700 Premium Wireless Direct. I can't find anything in the user manual.

The situation is that a friend has just moved into his own office with a connection high speed standard with a wireless router, in 'Serviced Offices'. These connections allow broadband to the office and he has to pay for a dial-up connection to the internet.

So he paid for two ethernet connections which probably come out through internet gateway of the complex. However, he lost the ability to print at its 6700 HP that has been previously set up wireless. He tried to install the printer using infrastructure mode by connecting to the network without wire of the complex, but still can not access the printer. It could be that the wireless network is on a different network for LAN connections segment.

The only solution I can think off is to let each PC with ethernet for Internet connection and install a wireless dongle in each PC to connect to the wireless printer. However, as noted above though I can't find the instructions for the Officejet 6500 to print Ad Hoc has nothing in the manual for the 6700.

    Is this possible?

  • OfficeJet 6700 premium print date and time on the fax history report

Running Windows 8.1 on my OfficeJet 6700 Premium AIO H711n fails to print the date and time on the historic report of the fax.  I need this information to check the box of cylinder head of the fax the documents have been sent.

    Hello dcflorida,

I did not the 6700 but on another machine, I had to 'reset', time and date in the printers preferences.

If you haven't done it yet, go to Settings/preferences/time and Date on the All in One printer set up (once again if necessary).

IF your machine does not have the time / date on the history report, it includes it in the Confirmation page?

Here is the link to the Manual too.

MelanieHello and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have questions about your number of pages.  I would like to help.

The built-in web server does not account for pages printed not across the network.  The number of printer pages all the elements. 1434 pages were not printed through the network, therefore, not counted in the SAP.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium - how to set the default print quality of 'normal' of the "draft."

    Hello

    Thank you for your help.

    I have a printer/all-in-one Officejet 6700 Premium.

Most of the documents that I print is for internal purposes, so "Draft" quality is sufficient.

The default factory on the print quality setting is 'Normal '. I know how manually enter and restore the "draft", but I'd rather have the defaultproject, so I have to reset it manually each time.

I could not find how to permanently fix the draft quality defect.

Again, thank you for your help.

    4. Click Printing Preferences.
    5. Enter the tab paper / quality .
    6. Select the project in the area of quality parameters.
