I keep having trouble with my printer. It worked fine for a few weeks, when I first bought, and then it suddenly stopped to record with my mac, despite being connected via USB.

The first two times, as it happened, I spent a LOT of time searching through your forums, find an answer later. I'm clearly not only the person with similar problems - don't know why you guys can just put up a page on this topic and facilitate the difficulty.

However, today I find no solutions. I don't have the technical knowledge to make things complicated and I am appauled that HP does not have a call center or lives the Charter for me - I saw the mention of these things, but I can't find where on your website that offers them. Maybe because I'm in Australia. HP has proved to be an extremely bad for making choices.

(and band not only help, but stop to happen). I rely on this printer, every day and every time it disappears, I lose a lot of time trying to get connected again.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: Printer OfficeJet Pro 6830 how to scan to PDF files

I bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 6830, and I can't understand how to scan documents from the printer to my computer in PDF format. It analyzes only in JPEG format.

The documentation I found online says that the PDF option should be present on the touch screen, but are the only options on my printer to scan to the computer, fax scan, scan to e-mail, etc..

I have 10 windows and a new HP laptop.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

    Thanks for your comments.

The disc that came with the printer may or may not have the support to win 10 OS as the priter was launched before Win 10 is available - where the download URL would be a safer way to get the WIn 10 OS feature MANY software.

We recommend that you download (save on the hard drive) rather than installing in online it.

After you install the FULL features software, you will be able to scan in PDF format.

    Hope that helps.

  • Officejet Pro L7780 print head error

I have a Officejet Pro L7780 all-in-one. Recently, it does not work due to a print head error (printhead missing or damaged M/C). Help, please.  Thank you very much.

    Hello

Use the following link to complete the troubleshooting steps.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01446637

If you still receive the error message after you perform the steps in troubleshooting mentioned in the document, then try cleaning print head in the printer menu.

Installation Menu - Tools - cleaning print head

Configure the Menu - Tools - align printer.

If none of these help then try this reset... This reset will restore the printer to its factory settings & will clear all the settings of the printer.

Unplug the cord from the back of the printer while the printer is always enabled.

Now hold "# & 9 ' buttons on the printer and connect the power chords while pressing the 2 keys. Wait 10 seconds, then release the keys.

If the printer turns off automatically, then wait for 10secs. and then turn on the printer using the power button on the printer.

    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500: print heads and things

OK, maybe it's a bit confusing. I have three printers Officejet 8500. No. 1 went into a never-ending cycle of clean print heads (after more than 30,000 pages) and without me being in the room the right side of the printer depot of ink on the table. Tried the reset but not good. Bought a second hand and after a few weeks, it came in paper jam mode. Could not resolve so finally bought number three. Works a treat and has no problem. Numbers one and two are for recycling. Print heads removed and stored in an airtight box with damp cloth. What is staging. Now after spending all that money, the last thing I want, it's having problems with number three. However, I have three cartridge sets new and unopened from PC World (their own brand) which cost £39. They came with the number two of the machine. They are not dated and has no way to know at what age they are. They are not oem, I can't any advice on their likely performance, but what worries me, is can the ink begins to solidify and block print heads as they age? Like I said they are still sealed. If I change the cartridge and use a spare set of the print heads to check the print output and that something is wrong if I can swap cartridges and print heads back without the printer enter the cycle of constant head cleaning. I know there have been issues with these printers but mine is on 27 000 pages and all tests are reports back in good health. I have also several chips of HP cartridges genuine that I can use.  Sorry as that a little long-winded.

    Hello @notahappybunny,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you have some questions and concerns about your ink cartridges non OEM 8500 and some.

    I would like to help.

The following document explains on the expiry of the ink.

Consumable inkjet HP - ink Expiration

From what I've read, it's I think I understand that the ink may change over time.

Because ink is sealed I don't think they're going to solidify, but the pigment used in the ink may eventually separate from water. This will certainly cause print quality problems.

In addition, your first 8500 printhead might not be good.

A bad print head may cause the impression of entering the cycle without end cleaning.

I hope that I have answered your question.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 print head

Print head cartridge and start buttons falsh button all at the same time and momentarily. Following aid online - electric disconnection for 5 minutes and turn it on again and hold the resume button when the lid is open I just can't get the cart of the printhead to move his right hand positioning in the middle to remove and clean the print head. What is the solution to this you problem? Is there another way to reset the printer?

    Hi @Steve150951,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

While doing some research, it is essentially the only way to get the impression transport move above. You can try to disconnect again, press on and hold the power button on the printer for at least 10 seconds (it drains any excess power it can hold) and then try again.

If it still does not move, the transport can be taken on something or something could be taken in this regard. This stall Transport document may help in getting it to move as it will advise where to check for jams/obstructions.

I would like to know how it goes for you

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: Printer does not print

6830 print do not. Tried the Print and Scan doctor who gives me a good test page. but still cannot print from the internet. Tried to disable the firewall, still nothing. Printing and ScanDoctor does not help after that.

What happens when you try to print from the Internet?

Some browsers will print to PDF instead of your default printer, if this is the case simply select the printer before printing.

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: Officejet Pro 6830 prints black, no color

I have a Macbook (not Pro) Late 2008 unibody, running Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. The impression was of color, now the same document print B & W I reinstalled the driver, no improvement. Using the touch screen of the printer, the quality Diagnostic Page Print prints color very well. The ink cartridges are genuine HP. They are all half full or more. I'm wireless printing.

A test, I created a new Word, typed in three words, big and fat, made every word a different color doc. It prints B & w.

Another test, I printed a Web page of my iPhone and it printed in color very well.

Is there a setting on the Macbook that I don't see? It printed in color very well about a week ago.  Now the draw is B & W. No new apps have been installed.

How can I return the color? Thank you!

    Hello @portraitmac!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I'd be happy to give a hand on this black and white printing problem.  If the printer is able to do a self-test or print from another device in color then the issue is likely related software on the MacBook.  The fist thing I suggest resets the printing system in Mac.

    To reset the printing system:

    1. click click the apple in the upper left corner of the Mac

    2. click on System Preferences

    3. click on printers and scanners

4 hold down the CTRL key and click with the mouse in the empty space under the name of printers

    5. click on reset the drop-down list printing system

    6. you should get a color wheel and the printer should disappear

After that, try to uninstall the HP software.  Once the software uninstalled I recommended to perform a "repair disk permissions" on your Mac.  A repair disk permissions is a utility built into the operating system Mac designed to detect and resolve problems or errors. After that permission to repair disc is finished, reboot your Mac computer and re-install the software.

To uninstall the software HP click here: uninstall the HP software

To perform a repair authorization disk click here: performance of a repair disk permissions

To download the HP software, click here: 6830 Officejet full feature and driver software

After the installation I recommend that you check the software updates on the Mac. To search for software updates, click the icon "Apple" to the left and click on the "app store". In the app store, you can click on the "updates" at the top of the window. Updates install and Hp or a printer. After the update, you must restart the computer.

When all is finished, try to print again and see if it comes out of color.

If please, after back and let me know how everything goes!

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: Printer does not print logo company

When I print our company logo (for the most part happens when print us invoices) the logo appears just a square black Uni, what can I do to fix this?

What is the file type of the logo?  What program it was created with?

I've seen a few posts suggesting created in Photoshop with coding CMYK jpg files can be a problem.  The proposed fix was to save the logo in RGB format.

This HP document suggests some fixes for Word 2010, but he said upgrading to 2013 Word can solve the problem.

https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/918788 is another Microsoft document that applies to Word 2010.

Since the end of the posts here:

I have WORD 2010 and I found this link on the web. Go to file > Options > Advanced Options > view the document content and uncheck the "Show image placeholders.

In another post: word2010 file > Options > Advanced Options > display the document and check "do not compress the images in the file.

    Of a Lexmark support link:

    StepAction
    1
Copy the image of the original document.
    2
Open MS Paint, and then paste the image.
    3

Copy the image in MS Paintand then paste so back to the original document.
