[Moved from comments]

Hi neuserivergirl,

1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

2. which version of the operating system is installed on your computer?

What version of the operating system Windows am I running?

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/which-version-of-the-Windows-operating-system-am-i-running

You can disconnect the power cable from the plug, and then try to turn on or off.

It seems to be a hardware problem, I suggest you contact the manufacturer of the printer for assistance on this issue.

  • Laptop power light blinking and won't turn on

I have a laptop HP Pavilion 1045DX M6 and I recently tried to plug it into a screen RGB, analog and I saw a spark and the laptop off.

During this time, I ran the laptop directly from the adapter without battery because I don't really use it.

If the laptop is turned off and I tried to turn it back on and nothing happened. The charge indicator light turned off even though it was still plugged. I thought that maybe the power adapter does work more or something, but I tested it with a voltmeter and there was still power in.

So I decided to put the battery in the laptop was able to turn on, and after a while, it an area that I never felt heat it before was really hot and later felt like something was burning.

But anyway, when it started, the screen resolution was really weak and made a maximum brightness. When the laptop end of initialization, it randomly started to install drivers (such as WLAN rapid storage and intel) and Yes. Sound does not work either. I tried to connect the laptop back and battery does not charge.

I turned off and took out the battery and tried to run the AC adapter only but the light flickered constantly and when I press on it, the WiFi (F12) button light on for a second then back off the coast. I also hear that high frequency noise I have ever heard before somewhere in the laptop.

I've done a hard reset with no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you!

    Hi @djstar12 ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using the forum, it's a great place to find answers. You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you have attempted to connect an analog RGB display and you saw a spark. The laptop off and then will not re-start. (the battery has been removed at the time). The light on the adapter was not turned on so you checked the voltage on the adapter and it was fine.

You tried power turn it on with the battery power and booted up with display dim and started to install the drivers, but you have noticed, it was getting very hot in a specific area. Also, you do not have audio and the battery does not charge.

Once again, you removed the battery and tried so that it starts with the adapter and the light on the adapter flashes continuously. You also hear the treble and when you tried to activate the wireless, he came for a second and then powered back off.

The only thing that I can suggest to test the adapter and the equipment.

Using and testing the power adapter AC

Test of hardware failures (Windows 7, Vista).

  • I have flashing lights and impossible to turn on or off.

I have flashing lights and can't turn on or off.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi P a-t

I understand that you have lights flashing and the printer will not turn on or off.

I'd do a power reset to see if that will solve the problem. When the printer is still lit, disconnect the power cable to the back of the printer, if the printer has external power supply with a detachable power cord unplug for 15 seconds and reconnect it. Then, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and turn on again.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector)

  • Power light blinking XPS 8900

I bought my XPS8900 a few weeks ago and immediately upgraded the memory up to 32 GB.

Everything worked fine, but then I decided to upgrade the video card to an EVGA GeForce GTX970 SSC.

This card requires a 6 and a power connector 8 pin that does not provide the power supply Dell stock. So rather that to return the video card, I have improved the power supply to a Corsair CX750M, I've read that other XPS8900 users have had success with this machine.

As others have pointed out, this PSU is a tight fit, but I could get installed it. As soon as I turned on, my trouble started.

The case and CPU fans spin, I hear the rotation of the drive upward, and I can open and close the dvd tray. So I know that the power supply provides at least a power. But I get no video, and on the top of the box, the power LED flashes amber model.

I tried to go back to the video card and power supply dell stock, but still have exactly the same problem.

I also tried unplugging the power cable and power for 30 seconds button. But still, the power light flashes orange model.

I know there is no beep codes for the 8900 XPS and the sequence of flashing orange light power is used to diagnose the problem, but I was not able to locate any reference to indicate trends.

The power light blinks a 2-7 model and repeats.

    Anyone know what this means?

    Follow-up:

I had ripped all with no luck. Well, everything except the improved memory. He had worked, so I don't think that it would be necessary to remove it. But I was wrong.

I went back to the memory of stock and the blinking orange light problem disappeared!

Then I reinstalled the new memory, and it worked too!

So I guess it was just that the memory should be seen.

Not sure if the model of 2-7 means 'Question' memory, but this would be my guess.

Since the 8900 XPS does not support beep codes, I hope that Dell will eventually publish what mean flashing light patterns.

Was it a software update from apple? When an apple update requires a restart, it may take a little time so that it starts. If it do not, you can try a reboot. What year MBP and operating system you are running. If everything fails and you have the recovery partition. You can start on it and do a reinstall. This should not delete any personal files.

  • Satellite Pro A100 - flashing light battery and no start

    Hello

I was sitting watching a video with my daughter yesterday when five minutes in my Satellite Pro A100 suddenly stopped working - cut out completely and not be reactivated. When I tried to restart the orange lit battery eleven short blinks blinked, and nothing else has happened. The battery has been low for some time, so we always run the AC adapter. The adapter is currently connected, but there is no blue light charge as I expect.

With the battery removed do not get the flashes orange. With the battery and power adapter, I get the flashes orange.

I was wondering if the AC adapter was missing, and we do not have a "low battery" warning because we were watching a video. That would explain the lack of charge indicator. When we get the flashes orange, we get this from the small amount of residual charge of the battery.

Can anyone back this idea up - or anyone who can interpret the error code?

    Thank you

    Keith

    Hey Buddy,

This means that you are able to start your computer or battery or AC/DC adapter only, good point?

Well, theoretically it might be possible that AC/DC adapter is defective.
When you try to start your laptop, nothing happens, right?

In the best case, you know a friend who has the same AC/DC adapter, so you can test if the AC adapter is defective or not. Otherwise a professional diagnosis of an ASP would be necessary.

    Greetings @HPofficejetPro,

I saw your post about the problems you are having and I can find some things that you can try.

Have you tried another ethernet cable?

The same thing happens when you connect with a USB cable?

  • Aspire V5 on used to be able to. Power light blinks 5 times.

Daughter finally used the laptop on battery and ran down id by pulling it completely until the computer turns off. She plugged the power cord and it would not come when you press the power button.  Laptop has been plugged in overnight and this morning same problem - just power light flashes five times when you press the power button. This is the same behavior so plugged in to the power supply or not. I tried holding down the power button. Tried with battery removed and a/c power, but then no light at all.  I tried removing the battery and the power of the a/c, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then install the battery and plug in power a/c, but no difference.  I tried another a/c adapter and no difference. Any ideas?

I had an object hold down the power button on all day.  Now I plugged in the power of a/c, and it began immediately.  Problem solved.

  • HP Officejet Pro K8600: Power light + resume light flashing after printing only one Page

After trying to print a document of several page, the printer produced a page and then the power light and the resume light (page feed) Flash. I also tried to print multiple copies of a page, but that leads to the same result.

I can get the lights extinguish by turning printer off then turn it back on. But it will always print that one front page the same lights begin to Flash. I did six times in a row just to print a six page document.

I went through all the steps in troubleshooting HP software. Not like searching for cleaning print heads, re-seats cartridges, etc., fragments of paper. Nothing seems to work.

    @Bob_Headrick

Thank you for your response. However, none of the suggestions could solve the problem. ALTHOUGH the light guide troubleshooting that you provided was close to the solution.

I came across the solution by reading the PDF manual for the printer. On page 77, it describes the power led + resume light flashing. One of the causes for this using EXPIRES of CARTRIDGES of INK, CARTRIDGES RECHARGEES or NON HP CARTRIDGES.

WARNING: It is important to note that if your printer is still under warranty, DO NOT DO THIS. HP notes in the manual using this substitution can void the warranty against damage caused by the use of faulty ink cartridges, obsolete or not allowed.

    SOLUTION:

While the power light and button resume flashing, press and hold the power button and press the button repeat 3 times. This replaces the "apparent" internal error message to use the cartridges you have installed. It may also cause a print cartridge alignment page.

    MY OPINION:

It is important to note the HP cautioned against it, it FIXED MY PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY! I know that the cartridges that I have installed are in agreement. Like many HP owners out there, I take advantage of sales and have stored on cartridges. I guess some may "expires" before you install it. In my view, the idea of "expiring" cartridges also somewhat falls into this column to "How can do us buy more ink?" What kind of market we create where it's cheaper to buy a new printer than to buy a new set of cartridges/toners? BUT it's a slippery slope... let's not go there.

I have a tablet that has worked very well since. Just today, he fell asleep while on the charge. The power light and battery lights is on and white as well. I can't have the power button to turn off the power or back on again once. the screen is black.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 wireless to automatically reconnect after router turned back?

I have the printer connected wireless have pick up the IP of the router configuration.

Whenever the router is turned off and turned on, the printer loses the configuration of the wireless network and I must choose the wireless network and re-enter the password.

It seems to be all right with the wired Ethernet network which I use at the moment.

What could I have done wrong to the wireless configuration?

I guess that the printer cannot get the IP address of the DHCP server on the router after reset of the power.  So I try give it a static IP address.  I don't seem to be able to set a static IP address for configuring wireless on the printer either.

More important still, why he forgets the address assigned in the first place?  I wouild wait there a memory possible to memorize some basic such as the network settings.

    Hello

If the printer near the router, be sure to continue, it closes, but not less than 2 meters... which should greatly improve stability wireless.

Once the router restarts the printer not restores to it once it is inactive.

you have to turn the printer off and then on once the router is completely upward once again, it should reconnect to your network.

Please let me know if any of the steps above allows.

  • New Apple Watch. Load and can't turn it on

I bought a new Apple Watch and matching. After awhile, it runs from battery. He is already responsible for more than an hour and I can't turn it back on. What can I do?

    Hello

As your Apple Watch failed to charge the battery, it leaves on the charger with the power connected for a total of at least 2.5 hours:

Check your battery and load your Apple Watch - Apple Support

After this time, remove the watch from the charger and try restarting: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

If this does not work, try force restart: press and hold the side button and the digital Crown for about 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If it restarts successfully, repeat the pairing:

Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support
