  • HP 15 (2016) Omen: Overheating problem

Hello! I recently bought the HP Omen 15, 2016 with a GTX 965 m 4 GB edition and an i7 6700hq. Whenever I play the play of light, temperatures are absolutely perfect. World of Warcraft, both GPU and CPU both stay around or below 70º, which is amazing. However, when I play something more demanding, as Overwatch, it raises of CPU utilization to about 40-50% and with it the time up to + 90 degrees. However, the GPU is still cool, less than 70 degrees. These high temperatures are clearly unhealthy CPU and the computer in general, is this normal?  I remind you, the CPU usage is 40% with occasional ups to 50%.

    Thank you!

I also see that on newer processors dashing automatically according to the load on the PC

  • Screen/hinge Portege M100 problem

I have a Portege M100 and have a slight problem with the screen
The screw on the left has out & disappeared. This left the very "wobbly" screen and it seems to have jumped off a plug or two, just on the left side as the case/wallpaper sometimes seems to gape slightly face down by the hinge.
I would try to replace the screws & it back to the 'normal' but I can't find instructions or advice on how fits in the screen - can someone help me to clip it together & rplace the screw?

(please don't make comments about how old he was, that's what I have & I can't afford to replace it at the moment!)

    Hello

I think that there are no manuals or instructions how to replace something on a laptop. These technical documents are not for the public, they available only allowed for the service provider.

So, I would recommend an ASP because there you can also get the right spare for your laptop and technicians will help you fix it. :)

  • Lenovo Y50 always have the hinge breaking the problem?

-Does anyone know if Lenovo Y50 is still having the screen display hinge break or blow up the basic problem?

There are a few things to consider here-

    (1) Yes, about 20 people are are complaining here, but I'm sure that thousands have bought this laptop. I think this is a defect of manufacturing, but only to a specific line. (I know should be fixed, but I don't know if it was)

    (2) you can always opt for another laptop or buy this one and follow the loosening of the screw (ONLY if the streams of your screen and hinge when opening).

I had great experience with laptops lenovo 3 (Y560, Y510P, Y3Pro) and that's why I'm here to spread this positive information and help around the community. Whatever you choose, good luck and happy playing.

  • Hinge X 60 problem

    Use a reliable X 60 for 4 years.

Upgrading RAM and HDD - set apart from some overheating - he is still strong.

Unfortunately, the hinge is kind of broken - screen don't will remain open on its own now. Cannot be bent back. Too afraid to turn around - I can see something broken and look to the back through the gap, I can even see the cable. Keep it at home using it as a desktop computer at the moment. Closing and opening - screen always turning ok/turn off. (phew!)

Is - fixable? expensive to fix?

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-62866

of course, it's fixable.  the best thing about thinkpads is this laptop compared to others, they are the easiest to disassemble and fix.  You can find reasonable parts on ebay and you need a set of screwdrivers for laptop.

If you have someone work on that, Yes, it can be expensive.

If you intend to tackle this problem yourself, while you're there take off the fan and the heatsink and put new thermal paste on it.  blow all with a can of air and you will give him a new life on life.  a 60 x is always competitive with today's portable computers and the quality of construction on it is excellent.

you just need a little patience.

  • Spectrum of HP x 360-13 - 4130 ca: hinge for the spectrum x 360 Hp problem

So I got my x 360 and I loved, everything was fine and no problems at all with it. But after about a month, I noticed that the left hinge (looking at the screen in the normal laptop use) began to waver. He got more loose since yesterday and today, if I screen to about 120 degrees and I hold the screen and the keyboard in separate hands and shoot, I can see the gap between the EEG screen and larger keyboard. Maybe around 2 mm. In addition if I shake the phone back a bit I can hear the Squeak of the hinge. Basically, it feels like gears are loose or and is not normal, because the right hinge has no problem, so never and works perfectly. I have never droped my laptop or hit on something, so I hope there is a fix for this because I really need my laptop for College and I love the x 360.

    Thank you.

  • HP DV7 hinge Fail

I purchased a DV7-7030us, July 3, 2012 on Amazon.com.  A few months after the warranty period was over, I started having problems with hinges.  This problem has continued to progress to the point where the left hinge is now totally out of the deal and it is obvious that the right hinge will follow soon.  I can provide photos.

I did some research on the web and found that hinge problems are common with models of this type, but it doesn't have a recall, nor is an extension of general guarantee issued by HP.

My previous laptop was also a HP, a DV9920, and he was too hinge failure, to the degree that I bought replacement hinges parts and repair myself.  Ultimately this computer was decommissioned because the power of the connection has failed.

It's surprising to me that a company the size and sophistication of HP would not set the hinge issue well before this.  I've owned a lot of HP products over the years, for most printers and found them to be of good quality. but I would like you provide me with an appropriate remedy for the current problem of the hinge, I mean here the laptop to be returned to you for repair at your expense.

Please contact me with your proposed solution.

    Kind regards

    Thomas J. Watson

I received today my laptop computer to the HP repair shop in Texas.  They replaced the upper and lower case, the fan and heat sink and handed me a new battery.  Everything is clean and in good working condition.  I hope that the underlying problem of the connection of the hinge to the case was resolved in manufacturing and that the problem will not be repeated.

Once that process has been initiated by someone from HP on this site of things moved very quickly and professionally.  I would like to thank HP for standing behind their gear and bring my computer a useful condition.

I don't know how this mark as resolved and perhaps it is not mine to do, but in my mind, it is, indeed, resolved.

  • Click on Lenovo u300 hinge

    Hello

So, I recently purchased the lenovo at amazon u300s and received today.

When I opened the laptop, there is a noticeable click on the hinge of the right hand (on the same side as the power adapter on). Click maybe isn't the best word, its not hard, I guess you could also describe him as a dull noise very quiet, as if there is some resistance there.

So, im not sure if this a problem with the design of the hinge, or a problem with the laptop I received. I asked a few people and they are all also uncertain, although the consensus seems to be that I should return just in case.

Could anyone who has the same laptop let me know if they have this also, or maybe that's standard on all hinges of lenovo.

    Thank you

Edit to add more details I have did not describe the problem that well - so the resistance/click everything only happens when I opened the laptop when the screen is at an angle of about 20 degrees. When the screen is closed no problem.

Hi, so I sent it and received a laptop replacement. On this one the hinge opens smoothly with no click or anything. So really was a problem with this laptop.

    Thanks for your help Exjamjus

  • Computer HP laptop 15r003sv: a pixel dead on a new laptop screen

    Hi all.

I buy the computer laptop 15r003sv on July 2014.

At the same time as I have buy an extended warranty for 3 years by the dealer, that is to say I have warranty until July 2017

Before 1 month straight hinje began to loosen up.

The dealer from whom I bought the laptop sent to hp for repair.

On Friday, I get the laptop back they change not only the hinge loosen, but the screen of the computer laptop everything.

(I think is easier to change the entire display only to open plastics of the screen and change the hinge)

The problem now is that the new display has a dead pixel. (I guess at this point I had bad luck my previous view has no defective pixels)

What should I do, do you thing that there is a possibility to change again thε display with a new one without the dead pixels? or it's too?

Unfortunately, having a single dead pixel does not enter the minimum display of replacement.

  • New keyboard or shift button available in Serbia?

I am in Belgrade during the winter break and my Thinkpad has failed. My left shift key fell because pimples plastic on plastic (translucent/white) moving parts disappeared.

This is the third mechanical failure on my current Thinkpad simply due to wear. It's only a little more than two years. My last Thinkpad a T41p had 4 years before the welds on the default display began - and that was the only failure, the computer never known. I'm afraid that the build quality may suffer a bit.

So far on this computer, I have replaced the hinge and am about to replace the touchpad / palm rest Assembly. The left button of the mouse wore out and is no longer usable.

I do some CAD work and having a broken button shift is maddeningly annoying. Is there a way to get a new keyboard delivered to my apartment in Belgrade, or y at - it a local service center that would have new keyboards in stock? My warranty is parts only at this time, but I'm happy to do the work myself. I managed to change my LCD hinges without any problem. I tried calling American support number via Skype, but my internet connection did not work well enough for me actually communicate clearly.

HM, I would if I had more time before my departure. I leave in three days!

Should I also listed my current computer. I have a T61p, 4:3 varieties of 14.1 ". It is still under warranty, so I would like to see if I can get the part replaced by Lenovo. The problem is that they have no support for the Serbia phone number. I could try to call Croatia...

    Thank you!!

Edit: I managed to get Skype to work and I got to the American line. They are sending me a new keyboard to my home before my arrival. Yay! Everything is supported.

  • Omen 5012: omen 5012 update firmware, color of backlight keyboard problems

When upgrading F.09 to F.23, the ability to control the colors of the keyboard backlight went, as explained by OP.

When you check the available firmware updates, Support of HP Advisor has shown new firmware and 3 other downloads, as of July 30. Then I pressed, check the updates and all entries have disappeared, now HPSA says there is no update available.

In any case, where can I download the latest firmware and has this problem fixed the inability to control the colors of the keyboard backlight.

Omen of control works with 10 Windows with the event system utility that was released yesterday. See the thread below.

  • OMEN of HP for laptop - 15-5010nr: Hp Omen back light problem

Hi, so it confused me for a long time now. I have this problem where my backlight ISN'T want to change to any other color but BLUE and its only the right side of the keyboard. The Start button / stop and the speakers are an exception to this decision apparently. I don't know exactly when it happened, but it has affected my computer for a while now. At this point im thinking a factory reset might do the trick, but I don't want to go through the long fight to take back to his feet. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I would be grateful helps it a lot because I love the ability to color, but I'm limited its use. If necessary I will add a picture of this. Maybe someone has this problem too?  And I use a HP OMEN for laptop - 15-5010nr (ENERGY STAR)
