HP P4515x letterhead duplex bug

Hi, I have a HP P4515x who has a problem with any tray with installed letterhead. It prints a copy double-sided, even if not selected. The printer has the latest firmware and the fault occurs even on auto with duplex disabled tests. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Alternative letterhead Mode setting may be relevant?

    Hello

I have a strange pair of P3015 wishing to print documents of letterhead backwards.  The printer actually pulls the paper normally, steps back and prints on the back side as duplex printing.  Print on the plain/letter carriers works very well.

Duplex on the built-in Web server is disabled.  The two-sided accessory is uninstalled on the settings tab of the device on our Win2007 print server.  Document settings and the application on our computers of users use either no duplex unit.

Any ideas on what could cause this behavior?

    Thanks for the quick response.

I checked this thread and tried to update the firmware first.  After that the update of the firmware was unsuccessful I tried to contact HP to get my hands on the .prn file that has been mentioned.

After you apply the All_ALM_Types_OFF.prn on my P3015 the problem disappeared.  Fixed a nice and easy once you have the file.

  • Duplex printing on letterhead on the wrong Page and backwards!

    Hi all

I googled this question and it seems that many have the same problem, but none of the solutions seem to work for me!

I have a LaserJet P2055dn.  In 'tray 3', I have paper with a letterhead on one side.  It is in the status bar with letterhead down and towards the front edge of the printer, which works fine when I print a page.

However... When I tried to print the pages back to back, it prints pages 1 to the last page, page 2 on the first page, and the two pages are in reverse!

I realize I could exceed a flip manually the paper in the tray, but I'm evolving as to if I need to single page and pages back to back.

I made sure the latest driver has been downloaded and installed, and I tried to change the following settings:

Printing options > advanced > header Alternative Mode 'On '.

Paper source: plain / header / pre-printed (have tried all)
Print on both sides: Yes, Flip on

Is there a way to change the settings so that I don't have to keep exchanging the paper around the status bar?

    See you soon

    Glenn

With many printers. the 'face' paper must be loaded in the trays in a way for Simplex jobs, but in a different way to work two-sided .

Some printers offer Alternative letterhead Mode (according to your comments, your printer seems to be one of them), in which case media that are declared with a Type of paper , letterhead can always be loaded in a sense (the necessary way for double-sided work).

With the work front, the printer then automatically manage switching sides (probably by adding a blank page and print front and back of each front page).

  • P3015 - can you print header on both duplex and duplex not?

OK, so I read the posts on bugs with the firmware and printing backwards. I am convinced that this is not the problem that we have.

We have a P3015DN. Try 2 we have letterhead.

Staff sometimes want to print duplex on letterhead sometimes single-sided.

I know this sounds simple butI don't think that this is possible.

An example: Document1 has two pages, the word on the first page and on the second secondpage firstpage.

If I load the paper as indicated for letterhead (2 tray settings are A4 and every type) have one side it prints two pages correctly the way straight to the top.

If I change the settings to print both sides and print the document it prints the page one to the back of the paper to header (and backwards) and two page at the front of the book and upside.

    Is this correct behavior?

Is there a way to get around this? I tried rotation (which brings them the correct way to the top), but it still prints pages and then two in the front and one at the rear. (although I also change the parameter from the front to the back on the back of a plan)

Probably HP cannot have highlighted a printer allowing printing two-sided all or nothing?

Any help is appreciated, we have 10 of them that will come back in a week if not.

According to the manual of LaserJet P3010 series user's Guide (http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01612470/c01612470.pdf - see page 105) you should be able to set the Alternative letterhead mode in the driver:

Load letterhead or paper pre-printed the same way for each employment, to printing on one or both sides of the page:

one) Open the Options section of the Document, and then open of the printer features section.

    b) in the Alternative headerdrop down menu Mode, select on.

    c) in the product, the paper in the same way that you would for printing on both sides.

  • M651dn: with manual duplex printing only the paper size custom

    Hello

I have a strange problem with several HP printers in my office (cp4525dn, 401dne, M651dn).

Automatic duplex printing works as usual if I use plain paper A4 format.

But when I use a custom paper size (21 x 21 cm), then the 'duplex manual' appears on the screen with the information I need to deliver the document again.

It's strange. -That someone has an idea if this could be a bug or it's 'normal '. But automatic duplex should work too much here, I think. What you mean?

It makes no difference if or USB-connected to the local network. I also tried different drivers, without success.

    Thank you very much

    Daniel

According to the manual the User Guide Laserjet Pro 400 M401 , automatic duplex printing is not supported for custom paper sizes.

It goes the same for my printer LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M475dn .

I guess the same applies also to CP4525dn and M651dn models.

  • OfficeJet 6500 a +: [El Capitan] duplex resets and unusable scan to PC option

    Hi all

I encounter a bug very annoying with the latest driver for my Officejet 6500 a + (E710n) on MacOS El Capitan.

I equipped module two-sided to two-sided printing from the printer and enabled this option in the printer to use. Hoever, every time I do a printing two duplex printer is automatically disabled.

I tried to reset the printing system of the operating system, removing the drivers, reinstalling them and everything I could find on the web and on your support pages.

    I have this problem persists.

I hope that the problem would have been fixed sooner or later, but nothing seems to happen.

Is this a known bug/problem that can be fixed or not?

It's really frustrating set the duplex option, each time I need to print a document and somethimes it lies a lot of paper is wasted because of this problem.

Without forgetting to mention that the very useful option "Scan your PC" seems to have been completely forgotten by HP and it's still useless.

You will anable it new or not?

I regret to say that I am really unsutisfied by the media.

I bought a HP printer because I thought that the brand would have the guarantee of quality of the product.

It seems I was mistaken, from the day I bought the printer, I had problems even more each version of the driver.

Just one last thing: print Wi - Fi network is unusable, its so slow I could hand copy a document instead of printing.

I'm looking forward to hear from you,

    concerning

    Claudio

    Dear RnRMusicMan,

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Unfortunately, however, they were not useful for my problems.

After spending so much time trying each possible configuration and different drivers, I found the solution to all my problems (and more the impression of a Wi - Fi connection that seems completely unusable due to defects printer, I found other users complain about this).

Firstly, instead of using the driver just E710n-z use the E709n series 1.

It rolls and the duplex option is never reset to 0.

Second, if you want to use the Scan to PC option of the printer for Mac, you need to download the HP Easy Scan from the Mac App Store app. This is the official application for scanning and receive analyses of the printer.

I wonder why I couldn't find it anywhere, and I repeat once again anywhere, it is mandatory to use such an application. It's really disappointing.

I don't know if other people can do the same thing on my account, but here I paste your sentence:
"If this, or one of the posts on this thread, helped you to solve the problem, please click 'Accept as Solution' said post. • HP5514 said duplexer installed

Then... a new 5514 works perfectly, but I find under properties/device settings it appears:

    Duplex unit installed.

Now, I know that this doesn't have a duplexer, so I guess it's just a bug.  Thoughts?

    Windows 7 Pro SP1.

Nothing on the back that says h or c.   But according to the information of the printer:

HP Photosmart 5510d B111h product name

Hold on!   OMG, it's a duplex!   I have set up for printing sided two and of course, he sided!

Well, he just show, you learn something new every day!  The online manual says nothing about a duplexer.

  • Manual duplex printing does not work for LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a

    Hello!

Windows OS 8.1. Printer LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175a. 61.108.8.10073 driver version date 2011 Apr 13

    1. after the passage on the checkbox "Print on both sides (manually)" on the tab "Final" of the print properties dialog box and
print, dialogue with the instruction how to turn paper appears. Then the printer should print the odd pages, stop for
turn the paper, and then continue printing even pages on the back of sheets of paper. But my machine print
all pages sequentually sequentially 1,2,3,... without breaks. What is TI - my bug error or possible in driver?

2 functions of the DeviceCapabilities API of Windows with fwCapability = DC_DUPLEX for this printer returns 0 (duplexing
impossible). This value for any other HP printers, even without duplex automatic, always equal to 1 unit.

    Hi @Up205,

I see by your post that you are having problems manually double-sided printing. I can help you with this.

The software for this model on the 8.1 for Windows is the Basic Solution software and the driver. This solution of basic software provides printing and scan feature only. You download and install the latest drivers?

HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw drivers.

Ensure that the bidirectional Support is enabled.

Go to the type (menu tiles) in "devices and printers" screen, select settings, click on devices and printers, click with the right button on the printer, start left click on properties of the printer, on the Ports tab, put a check mark next to allow bidirectional support.

You may have to restart the computer.

If you need help, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • Duplex page upside down problem

    Hello

I recently bought a Photosmart 5515.  I was very pleased with it but I can't seem to take full advantage of the automatic duplex function.  I was able to turn it on, but the second page keeps printing backwards.  I read on other topics on the 'compulsory' solution, but it does not work in my case.

As a temporary fixture, I flip all even pages in reverse, but which can be very annoying for longer documents.  So I was wondering if there was a fast and automatic way to solve this problem.

My computer is running Mac OS x 10.8

    Help please

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I realized that there is a bug in OS 10.8 where it was only settled on the "binding short-faced."  I thought that I had downloaded the latest update of Mac OS x, but above all I forgot to reboot my computer for the update could take place.  In the end, it resolved my problem.

    Thanks for the help

  • Full duplex to BlackBerry JDE 4.7

    Hello

I know that his duplex (play and record at the same time) is not supported in BlackBerry JDE 4.6.

I saw the article - "not sure I have it is a bug or a feature. We use two players: one for record, another for reading ', but I couldn't find the solution.

Does anyone know how to implement the application with the duplex sound?

Alternatively, the BlackBerry JDE 4.7 does support duplex sound?

    Thank you.

    Best regards, Ricos.

Yes. It is possible. Play and record on two separate applications. Oh, make basic applications.

  • HP photosmart pro b8350 print Windows 7 x 64 not available automatic duplex unit

I bought a photosmart pro b8350 back in 2006 or so to use on my XP64 system and added the print front and back in a short time module after. I upgraded to Windows 7 Professional 64 over a year ago and just recently installed the printer. I can't use the automatic duplex with the built-in driver option. I need to print a quantity just now that I have it back up and duplex printing automatically has been pretty well a need, as I have to leave the system unattended while I work on other projects. I really need to manually duplex everything now? If I switch to a new printer in the near future, he will also lose the functionality in the next years? I still can't use the advanced features of my scanjet 8300 that I bought in 2006, either. The driver has never fully supported XP64.

    Hello

Maybe it's a bug in Windows 7. The duplexor is reported as not installed by default, so you need to change this

Go to the Control Panel, find the devices and printers, then click on it. Then right click on your printer icon and choose 'printer properties '. In the new screen go to the "Device settings" tab and under "automatic duplex print unit" set installation options on installed. Should be on is not installed by default, so change installed, then click on apply. Restart the software and perhaps even your computer and check that duplex printing is an option now.

Can someone tell me how I can change this file or a file of correct /etc/cups/ppd/Officejet_Pro_8600.ppd for this printer?

    Thank you!

Hi @djringjr and welcome to the Forums.

I'm sorry, but to get your question more than exhibition I suggest posting in the forums Linux because it is a Linux product. You can do the http://ubuntuforums.org/ .

    I hope this helps!

  • Is no longer the duplexing and booklet will

    I have a Photosmart C309a. I run WIndows 7, Microsoft Office 2007

Suddenly in the last week, my printer is no longer can print a booklet, print both sides, or print a fold greeting card half. Fortunately he did so for the last 5 years and all of a sudden, no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall it, these features are no longer available to me. The software I use, MO2007, has not changed. The patterns that I use have not changed. All of a sudden, my printer does not remember his old tricks.

Is it a built in bug so that I'll go out and buy a new printer?

I uninstalled, turned off and reinstalled the printer. Five times. I try no more than special "fix." That would meet the definition of insanity.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

Which may be related to orientation.

If your print job is oriented in Portrait mode, try setting the option to print on both sides as return long edges, of landscape, orientation on the short edge duplex, which should provide you with both the face with his head in the same direction...

  • Duplex with our laserjet HP4100 and Windows 7 network printing

We have two new HP with Windows 7 desktop computers and you try to use the front and back of our network service HP laserjet 4100 dtn can you suggest the correct drivers or settings please?

Hi, this might be the question why his does not work.

It's a bug in Windows 7. The duplexor is reported as not installed by default, so you'll have to change that.

  • HP C6180 wil not print double-sided on letterhead

The printer works fine in manual duplex mode with a blank sheet of paper, but will print on each side, if we try to use paper with a preprinted letterhead.  It's almost as if there is some kind of OCR that prevents printing on a page with pre-printed letterhead.  Any ideas?

There are a couple of sensors that could be confused by the letter header.  First of all, there is a paper sensor that detects the paper being well picked up and fed through the printer. Some colors of printing on paper can confuse this sensor.  The other possibility is the sensor used for the selection of the paper type automatic is confusing to the system.  In this case you can try to automatically select plain paper rather than the selection of paper.
