HP-P7-1233W: updated GPU on a P7-1233w HP

Ive got a HP P7-1233W that I wanted to date. So ive installed a new 500W PSU and a MSI Radeon R9 280 / 3GB GPU. The problem Im having is that whenever I install the drivers from the included disk and shut down the computer and plug the new GPU, the computer does not start. I get no signal it. Ive got all the power cords connected and the card is sitting nice and tight.

I noticed that if I get one feeding sheets, the com0uter works perfectly with the integrated graphics card and all the fans on the GPU work.

Please let me know if you know what I have to do to get this working GPU.

HA! said the switch would work... and Yes... the switch must stay where it is

I won't be able to tell you another that I've never done this... but I think you need to close this message and maybe start one for that fast response...

  • Cannot disable the GPU acceleration

I tried the GPU acceleration in the past, but it has not been activated for my Radeon HD 6950. Ironically, today, I found it was and he lit. LR soon froze in the develop module, so I went into preferences to turn it off again. I tried several times, but it is not clear, everything freezes! I tried to restart, but crashes again on the attempt. Is the only way to delete the preferences file, and if so, where is it?

  • Re: Cannot run programms that requires OpenGL using the Satellite L

I have a Toshiba laptop with ATI Radeon 4650, but cannot run programms that requires OpenGL.
I can't install the new ATI driver on their homepage, because they are not compatible with the Toshibaproducts.

I also can't update the driver from Toshiba, because their driver ATI latest is since March 2009.
I already have googeld problem, but can't find it.

Please guys, someone knows a solution to this annoying problem?

    > I can't install the new ATI driver on their homepage, because they are not compatible with the Toshibaproducts.

Because ati - driver must be changed to support, protection against overheating.

    > I also can't update the driver from Toshiba, because their driver ATI latest is since March 2009.

Yes, it may take quite a long time when Toshiba released updated Gpu driver

  • TC M51 sluggish after installed PCIe graphics card

Well I went through 10 the 39 pages of this forum and the suspect, I have an answer, but still want to check with anyone in the know.

    I have a model of ThinkCentre M51 1843-wnv and put up-to-date with:

2 GB DDR RAM (total now 2.5 GB) by Kingston

WD Caviar Black 500 GB HARD drive with 32 MB of cache (SATA 7200 RPM)

Map of graph SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4550 PCIe with 512 MB of DDR3 RAM

and I use a logitech (with USB to PS/2 adapter) USB mouse and a USB microsoft ergonomic keyboard

I installed every update, one at a time to make sure things were ok.  Things were ok until I installed the GPU (last updated).  Now my system takes a long time to start and stop and the intermittent mouse jerks across the screen.  I wait a few seconds and he is well again.  It's as if there are not sufficient resources every now and then.  For a time that the office works very well and then a few minutes later he has a jerky behavior that erases then after a wait.  Start and stop are however still much longer than they were.  I have to go and make the coffee while it starts and stops.  But even this behavior is inconsistent.  Sometimes it starts and stops quickly, as it should.

I wonder if the GPU and HARD disk are pushing the limits of my diet (310 watts).  Side of the box GPU stipulates that the minimum requirement is a 300 Watt power supply.  Mine is 310 Watts so I thought I was good, but the desktop is perhaps, with the large disc of HARD fast intermittently requiring more power than is available.

    Any thoughts?

Is an upgrade of the power source easy to do something?  This will solve the performance issue? I've updated GPU, RAM, hard drives, USB and card faxmodem cards.  An upgrade of the power source is easy?

    Thank you!

    Macaws

    Well, how does it work!

I uninstalled the sound integrated edge and also the SoundMax drivers and installed instead an his SB XFi Titanium PCIe card and voila!  not only do you have this problem, but I have now improved for my 5.1 system sound quality speakers.

Why the built-in sound system would cause my office become slow after installing a video card?  How install PCIe sound card and turning off the sound of the mobo solves the problem?

If anyone knows I really want to know how it works.  At the moment, it seems just as if by magic for me.

in any case, I'm very happy.  My 2nd hand desktop Lenovo is a speed demon!  Movhorn thanks for your help.  Very much appreciated.

Updated GPU from Device Manager is not recommended.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your GPU and download the latest version.

  • LR 2015.6 CC (and previous versions) CRASH CONSTANT

    Hello

I experienced constant crashes on LR CC recently. It was an irregular problem, being pretty much since I started using it, but now it is totally useless.

Everytime I go to make adjustments in the develop module, sometimes even just launch LR, it blocks immediately. It won't last more than a minute or two without crashing if I'm working in. I tried to sign in and out of my CC profile, disable the GPU acceleration, updating GPU drivers (even if the accel GPU is disabled) nothing works. It is pretty useless to me now.

It seems that CC crashing constantly is quite common in my research, but nothing seems to solve my problem.

    Data sheet:

    Windows Pro 64-bit 10
    Intel i7 - 4790 K 4.0 GHz
    16 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY
    2 x Radeon R290 4 GB GDDR5
128 GB SSD + 1 TB HARD DRIVE

    What is the next step?

    Hi Christophe,

I'm just curious, if the Suggestion of Edward was followed and it solved the problem for you?   I note the responses of Edwards was marked as correct.

  • CC of Lightroom does not

    Hello

I bought cloud adobe a few days ago and everything works fine, only when I crop an image in Lightroom and to select the next image, that the program is not responding.

    I work as follows:

The image of nest in the list is selected, I crop the image if necessary, and I have better light, contrast, etc...
Only when I cropped I'm not able to continue to the next, I close lightroom and restart just to do exactly the same thing with the next photo.

I use an acer aspire 7750G with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and a hard drive 320 SSD, everything is in the factory.

I don' t retrieve messages, it stops working until I make a stop forced down and restart.

    Hi ellync,

You must disable the graphic processor of Lightroom preferences, but since the opening of its not, you can either method below.

    Please follow the Solution below

    1. Go to edit > preference > Performance > uncheck "processor chart use" If this does not solves the problem then,
    2. With Lightroom closed
