    Hi legar72,

    1. you have made a full recovery system on the laptop using the recovery disk?

The error code - 8007045B is associated with failure to install.

If you have used the system recovery disk provided by the laptop manufacturer to perform a system recovery.

You will need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more information about the installation failure.

    I hope this helps!

  • Disk recovery and support

HP laptop computers come with a couple of additional readers for purposes of recovery and support.  I wonder if these discs actually need a letter drive attributed to them or if the drive letter can be changed.

    Any comments greatly appreciated.

    WD

    Hi, WD.

Yes, the recovery partition is related to the drive letter.

Do not change the letter everything you see.

If you want to add a partition, I would assign it a drive past the last drive letter letter see you.

If you need to recover your operating system, back up anything on any partition you create, as the recovery process will fix the disk hard back to the configuration of the moose.

  • Hard disk recovery and replacement system

I have a laptop of 1155 ca HDX 16 running Windows 7 ultimate (upgrade of Vista) pre-installed. I recently discovered a bad sector or several bad sectors on my hard drive using many tools of diagnistics. SMART info indicates 3 pending sectors. Also, the hard drive failed the test under BIOS self-diagnose. That my computer can cope with imminent hard drive failure, I would like to replace the hard drive. Is there any HHDs with greater storage space and higer RPM compatible with this laptop? In addition, I can't create a second set of recovery disks containg my current system and settings, how would I be able to recover my data/system and how can I back up all my files current?

    Thank you.

    Hello:

You can use the backup and recovery of Windows 7 system to make a ghost image of your current content of the hard drive on a hard drive portable.  You will also need to make a bootable CD that will give you the opportunity to do so, to access the recovery files, and then reinstall your current configuration.

However, if I were you, I would back up all files, music and photos separately I didn't want to lose, just in case the reinstallation fails.

Although HP doesn't show any upgrades to your hard drive, I guess you'd be sure to install a 640 GB SATA 7200 RPM up to. It's a PC pretty modern.

You can also be on the right side and order a set of recovery disc for your laptop. They will be for Vista, but you can then go ahead and reinstall W7.  A set of recovery disks normally costs about $16.00.

Here is the link to the support page for your laptop.  Under the "Alerts for this product" section, you can click on the blue link indicating "how to order recovery disks.

  • Had to reinstall issue of windows disk recovery and software

    Hi guys

I hope I posted in the right forum

A couple of days, I got a virus in police nasyt variant and so I had to reinstall windows from scratch

Regretably my recovery disks that I made did not work properly so I had to pay a lot of money for windows 7 and made a new installation

I put the software made available on this site on my laptop like dell webcam, roxio etc but my dell came installed with ms office and some other titles is it possible I can get it back without having to buy them?

I also have a recovery now, but as its been formatted partition, there nothing to advice for the implementation of a new recovery partition

Thanks for reading my question and your help is much appreciated

    Hello Haverespect,

There are a few important things that I would like to share:

All software delivered plant can be installed in my Dell downloads. You can find the software such as Roxio, Webcam Central, Acrobat Reader etc.  Please click here to follow the instructions on the screen.  My Dell download only works on Internet Explorer. You can also consult the frequently asked questions on my Dell downloads. However Microsoft Office Starter day lost cannot be re-installed as Dell maintains a copy of it.

Once the operating system is reinstalled from disks, it removes the entire score and did a new install of the operating system. So the recovery partition is lost and recovery partition is lost, we can't get it back.

Please write again for any other question.

  • Satellite A200 - how to use the disk recovery and backup all the files?

Hi I have a Satellite A200 that came with a "product recovery cd. Recently I got an infection/trojan/spyware such as windows defender was taken over by something else (a lot of error abnormal messaes and asking me to purchase the full version). I'm no expert, but surely, I know that windows defender is a free program.

Anyway, please could someone give me advice on the best way to solve this problem. that is the best option to use. Is there anyway that I can back up the files that I have (with the exception using an external HD drive).

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

_How to use the recovery disk? _
That s pretty easy: insert the diskette and boot from it that s all!
In addition, you will need to follow the instructions on the screen and make a few clicks, but that s really all!

    _How to save files? _
First of all I m asking you ask for it. You didn't make a backup yet? What do you do if your HARD disk down the next morning?

In any case, the Toshiba recovery disc erase your entire HARD drive. This means that you must back up your files to an additional disk. Everything on the drive HARD internal will be deleted.

You don t want to use an external HARD drive? Why?

  • Computer laptop 17-p100na: partion recovery and backup content

    Hello

I would like to backup the content of my recovery partition on another drive and possibly 7zip it down and burn it to a DVD or 2.

What is there that can be ignored, as US English, etc. TO reduce the size.

Well, after countless hours I managed to find the recovery partition.

Cannot access actually.  There are, and there are 13-14 GB of data out there.

So can someone show the partition table for a new drive.   Because if I lose this HARD I have no viable recovery media.

Maybe I can compare my settings with a labour recovery partition.

Is also the regardless of bootable recovery media?

I expect the learning curve at about 3 years for this device.  A cheap and nasty dell would better?

  • Pavilion laptop DV4 disk recovery installation issue what would it be?

I formatted my HARD drive using a bootable floppy to CD (Dariks Boot and Nuke) - who has written on the C and possibly partition D (HP Recovery)... Everything went well with that.

    HP DV4-1543sb

Original operating system was Win 7

    Laptop 2 years

    1. I then inserted the factory purchased HP disk recovery and booted from it (2 discs and 1 extra drive in the game)
    2. Installation went well with disc 1 that it then prompted me to two disc I did. Subsequently requested the extra disk I inserted.
    3. Once it is installed, it restarted the PC automatically and then start configuring Windows 7 up or at least begun to load (Win 7 was also my original OS).
    4. Process is completed and it still rebooted itself.
    5. Laptop computer loaded a little Windows (an icon appeared) and then suddenly a message saying error has occurred could not finish loading Windows)- or something of this nature
    6. Tried to reinstall and got the same scenario.
    7. Once more I formatted the HARD drive with a full format which took 2 hours.
    8. All that above was repeated with the same results.

    Any suggestions?

The BIOS may be corrupt and if yes, how can I install a fresh BIOS with no available Windows application.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I suggest to try the following workaround.

If you have (or can borrow) an installation disc Windows 7 at retail which is exactly the same version as your OEM installation - IE if your laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit is the exact retail version, you would need.

If you do not access to the retail drives, you can create an installation disk yourself - just download good picture disc from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO on a CD blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key Windows located on the underside of your laptop when requested and when the installation is completeuse the 'method of phone", described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want just a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally delivered with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

Additional drivers, you may need to find from here.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot complete the reinstallation of Vista on Compaq laptop using the Compaq recovery disks. Tried to restore disk oem and new close to identical road. Errors: 0xc00000e9 and 0xc0000189 respectively

With no unusual occurrence that accompanies it, our laptop was able to start and would not initialize anything beyond a screen B & W style BACK and gave the first error (0xc0000e9) on this screen. After several unsuccessful reboots insert us the Compaq recovery disks and crossed the recovery (only full optional with such discs.) At the end of the transfer of recovery (from DVD on computer), the computer tried to restart and reported the same error message. We have seen anything past the transfer of files and B & W on the oem disk. I think the oem HD is bad. Web-surfing suggested the error was associated with a hardware failure and the DVD drive seems to work very well I bought a new HD almost identical to replace the oem version with. Both are Seagate Momentus 160 GB at 5400 RPM drives.

I re-inserted the recovery with the new installed hard drive disks and it loaded and seemed basically completely install Windows (computer is restored running several times and showed the Windows desktop with sequential programs etc. facilities.)

To restart the final success, I received an error message in the sense of "windows could not install: Please restart the installation process" and the 0xc000189 error code. I tried again and the result was identical, including the error message. In the process the emblazoned shortcut labeled sunflower administrator with "locked" below briefly appears before the above error appears above him. Navigation on the Web seems to suggest I've hit some kind of security problem that appears when an oem auto-installer is used. He was never a password of any kind on the laptop of our family, if there is one, it should be of Compaq.

It's an authentic (not stolen etc) oem new install of Windows (the laptop is only 18 months old) and I CD code on the computer but not the case in the installation me I asked for it. I don't know what you looking for installation.

I'm very confused and any help would be appreciated. Compaq is saying it's a matter of Windows of course.

    Thank you

  • dynamic disk recovery issue and I cannot make a primary partition

I have to cover, please read in full before answering a few questions. This problem started when I made another (retractable) partition on my main drive to run another operating system in a duel start setting. I made this partition, then I think that all my partitions (including recovery) computer went to dynamic. I deleted a partition, so I'm not going on the max 4 so I could do a primary, but she's still dynamic (that I made). First of all, I want to be able to make a primary partition to boot another operating system, and how can I do this without deleting my recovery? I don't want to use 3 third party software, unless they are free. Since my recovery is now a dynamic partition, can 2nd question, I still make a recovery? 3rd question, if I have to delete everything to my basic primary partitions, then can HP gives me a way to backup the recovery, or a least a way to send a recovery disk. Also, when I made the partition, I deleted the HP tools which was 200 MB partition (I think, but I don't remember), how can I reinstall it? Or it is necessary. Overall, I need to make sure that my system windows 7 will be stable with recovery and use with dynamic partitions. In addition, I have not used this program, but I was looking at a problem with a program called HxD Hex, http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=191006, I did not try this because it says this sector 0 1 2 location of the partition I tried to do a primary (Hex) actually says 4f instead of 42. ANY HELP WILL BE AMAZING! At least tell me my system can be stable with a dynamic partition, and I can repeat once if something goes wrong.

    HP Pavilion DV7 4060us

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    RAM: 4 GB

Processor: AMD Phenom II N830 Triple Core Processor 2.10 GHz

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 2676MB Total

Him did not have a hardware upgrade.

Yes HP recovery disks will change back, but the question is that HP Recovery Manager will not be able to burn recovery discs, or perform a system partition recovery until the hard disk is converted back to base. At least this is what I've seen other posters.

Seems (to me anyway) the only option is to use the software I mentioned above and convert back to basic & burn recovery discs or order from HP recovery discs.

Once you have the laptop to factory specs_use Daniel's Guide to create your new partition.

  • I didt create a disk recovery for windows 7 Home premium, and I lost the original and the recovery partition

I didt create a disk recovery for windows 7 Home premium and I lost the original and the recovery partition, but I have still the product key and the same laptop that was originally installed with windows 7 copy and now im turning my laptop with a fake copy, how to restore the original copy of windows 7?

    Hello

You have certainly reduced your options

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

As you have licensed preinstalled OEM (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee, if they still have them available.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    See you soon.

Even if it is very slow, you must make a return upwards before the race "repair disk". The risk of data loss is minimal, but do it anyway: Save and run to repair the disk.

As for what it implies - most of the time nothing more than simply sitting and waiting to do his thing.

    Nice day.

    There is no command link.
