HP Pavilion 15-n013ca: HP Pavilion - system will not ask for a user connection

Had a virus - malware.  load malwarebytes and cleared.  I was able to reboot and log in.  I had too many running - Kaspersky, Mcafee and Windows virus protection systems.  Kaspersky has expired, then started the uninstall, frozen system.  I had to do a hard reboot.  I am now in a situation where when I start the laptop, the system receives the background color shows the date and time, but ask not my user name and password.  I can't connect to the laptop at all.

I don't have a set of boot disks to this system.  I bought with windows 7, improved a couple of years of Windows 8 and never got to create a bootable cd.  What are my options?  I don't know if it's the windows registry which is damaged or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello

As you started to uninstall Kaspersky, the system should created a restore point, if you can try to restore it as follows.

Stop of the laptop and leave it like that for 10 seconds.

Tap here to f11 as soon as you press the power button until you see a message "Windows is loading.

On the next screen, select your Keyboard Layout and on the next screen, select Troubleshooting.

Select 'Advanced Options', and then select System Restore.

Click on yourcurrent system O and then wait as the system restore window opens.

Choose the restore point created before you uninstall Kaspersky and then proceed to the system restore.

Kind regards

    Hi mohdrafi,.

    (a) since when are you facing this problem? What were the changes to the system between the time where everything has worked, and when you noticed the problem?

This problem may occur because of the conflict between the hardware or programs on the computer.

To refine the question, I suggest you try the following steps:

Disconnect all external devices, mainly USB devices except for devices such as the mouse and keyboard.

    Check if the problem persists,

Step 1: Disable security software, follow the steps mentioned below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Activate security software once the test is completed.

Step 2: Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists, to do this, follow the steps below.

Access the menu advanced startup options by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts. In the advanced startup options select safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

If everything works properly in safe mode, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Step 3: Put the computer to boot to figure out program causing problem.

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

  • Windows will not ask for password after disconnection and stop

machine is aspire R13, WIN 10

I set up a password for OS - on the machine, do not use a windows account. After the outside panel and closure, opening the lid takes me straight on the desktop without having to ask for a password. What is a password, if anyone can open the lid and have access to everything?

If instead of disconnecting and leaving the computer to sleep, so he asked a password to wake up - as if an unknown person will have access to the computer to wake up from sleep. How stupid!

Is that the reason for this is that microsoft is forcing me to use a MS account for the connection in order to use my machine?

From another forum, the solution was simple: change the password. Now, he asks a password after disconnection.

  • Windows 8 will not ask for password on wake up from sleep

My Dell laptop since the upgrade to windows 8 Windows 7, when I close my lid does not go to sleep, or when I wake to sleep, it does not ask me for a password, everything has been reset to the default values, but I don't know why it doesn't work. someone please help!

The solution, as someone else has asked this question also and got the correct answer - see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-performance/password-after-sleep/8ef46143-300e-41e8-aafb-b61782b67145 . There is a new setting of Windows 8 on top normal settings in the power settings.

Be aware that setting how long time should pass before asking to specify a password is required is a per-user setting, so if you need to change the default value of 15 minutes, it takes to each user created on the system.

For me, I took me 1 minute rather than always for all users, as it is pleasant, if after an accidental sleep, a user can always resume immediately. But the foregoing I have a password.

  • Restore will not ask for ALL my backup set.

Had to replace a failing hard drive.  The whole process of installation and update of all my software went seamlessly.  Restore my PERSONAL files, however, has been a nightmare.

I have a set of 3 backup disks (each successive), but has asked only the FIRST restore disc and then (VERY briefly) used the other.

Unfortunately, not all the files that he handed in my hard drive are the latest versions, and some of my files are still missing.

QUESTION: How can I force restore to call for ALL 3 of the consecutive backup drives before he leaves?

I've been at this for hours, and I got it about.   GRRRR.

    Hello

    1. the restore process hang or fail?
    2. do you get an error message?

We cannot force all disks to restore both. The backup and restore only will guide you to complete the restore process.

  • HP 8600 will not update for web solutions connected, just gets to half way and goes back to the House

Then click the icon for web services enabled that it says it needs an update, I try this and it never ends. Goes back to the home screen and I can't access it from any computer on the network that I have the software installed on.

Windows 7 64 bit on a computer and windows vista home basic svc pak 2 other.

I just tried again, reset the values by default, restored the wireless connection to the router Linksys, click on icon for web services, put on day of technology required, clicked on OK, started download again, got 57% and are returned to the home screen!

When I tried again... he hung up on the screen asking me if I want to activate the automatic update. Had to turn on the printer works to clear the screen. I think I got a LEMON! If I don't get any help or solution to that soon he'll be back!

    Hi Jasonlq,

This error sometimes occurs when the network connection is slow. The upgrade file can not be downloaded correctly and it times out.

Recommend that you restart the printer, and then try again. Also try and see if other devices in the same network are hogging the bandwidth of the internet connection to the downturn.

Let me know how it goes.

  • by using a standard user account, when it is run as an administrator, system does not ask for password

    • I created a standard account for one of my children. He installed a program that refused him permission to run. I went to "run as administrator" and should be asked for a username and password to allow him to use the program. Instead he gave me the same error message access denied.
    • I then tried to implement other programs on his desk to run as administrator and they opened, but they ask me password. Why not invite me for a username and passoword?

But the my administrator account has a password!

Log in as administrator, and then set a new non-empty password. Now, repeat the test under your son's account.

  • Pavilion g4 will not start

I have a g4 Pavilion that will not pass the main logo at the beginning. I did a quick test of system and get software disk errors hard drive dst short. do you have a large trial and it also stops to with ¨type:system... result: failed¨ another test read ¨type: hard drive... result: failed¨ can I do to make it back or I get a new one, this laptop is not even a year old.  She has windows 8. I´d appreciate any help. Thank you.

The hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Because the laptop is less than a year, you should still be under warranty. Contact HP support in your country /region and counts test results. Usually, they will send a new hard disk that is easily replaceable. If you have not created your recovery media you will need too... Worldwide contact information can be found here >Contact HP

  • windows\system32\config\system\file is damaged or missing, system will not start, I have not connection wired, software was on the laptop at the time of purchase

system will not start, I have not connection wired, software was on the laptop at the time of purchase.

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    See you soon.

  • Try to burn a CD. The system will not recognize the blank disc or let me burn__

Try to burn a CD. The system will not recognize the blank disc or let me burn... says there is no disc inserted

    Hello

Have you tried to close all programs and then insert the disc? Restart the 1st and then try it.

    If no joy:

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    4. Click repair your computer.
    5. Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    6. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.
    7. Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

Note To start the computer from the Windows Vista DVD, the computer must be configured to start from the DVD drive. For more information on the configuration of the computer to start from the DVD drive, see the documentation provided with your computer or contact the computer manufacturer.

    Bootrec.exe options

The Bootrec.exe tool supports the following options. Use the option that suits your situation.

Note If rebuilding the BCD does not resolve the startup problem, you can export and delete the BCD, and then run this option again. In doing so, you ensure that the BCD is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the command prompt Windows RE:

    • bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup
    • c:
    • Boot CD
    • BCD attrib s h - r
    • Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old
    • Bootrec /RebuildBcd

    / FixMbr

The /FixMbr option writes a MBR compatible Windows Vista on the system partition. This option does not overwrite the existing partition table. Use this option when you need to solve problems of corruption of MBR, or when you need to remove the non-standard code from the MBR.

    / FixBoot

The /FixBoot option writes a new boot sector on the system partition by using a boot sector that is compatible with Windows Vista. Use this option if one of the following conditions is met:

    • The boot sector has been replaced by a non-standard Windows Vista boot sector.
    • The boot sector is damaged.
    • An earlier Windows operating system has been installed after the installation of Windows Vista. In this scenario, the computer starts by using Windows NT Loader (NTLDR) instead of Windows Boot Manager (Bootmgr.exe).

    / ScanOs

The /ScanOs option scans all disks for installations that are compatible with Windows Vista. In addition, this option displays the entries that are currently not in the BCD store. Use this option when there are installations of Windows Vista which is not in the Boot Manager menu.

    / RebuildBcd

The /RebuildBcd option scans all disks for installations that are compatible with Windows Vista. In addition, this option allows you to select the facilities you want to add to the BCD store. Use this option when you need to completely rebuild the BCD.
