HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC - Synaptics Clickpad has stopped working

Hello

I got my HP laptop for a little over a month now, a week ago, my Windows 8 made a update, I rebooted my computer and all of a sudden my Synaptics Clickpad stop job.

I literally tried everything to solve this problem. I went through my laptop settings and my clickpad is not to see the like shut off, I disabled and allows him to make sure. I ended up finding a new driver Synaptics by HP.com, I installed it and my clickpad started working again. I restarted my computer and was able to use my clickpad on the login screen, but once that I logged it disappeared again. I tried to go through all the possible settings and there is nothing that solved my problem.

Some help would be appreciated, it's very disappointing because I've only had this laptop for a month and having to return it would be even more disappointing.

My laptop is a:

HP Pavilion 17-f084ca Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

8.1 Windows 64-bit

Product number: G6R4OUA #ABL

Before the problem occurred: Windows 8 through Windows Update update

Problem post: driver Synaptics updated through HP.com, scanned troubleshooting my computer through HP.com and check many areas. Nothing has solved the problem.

Hi recentally purchased my DV7 (in the last two weeks), everything began to work very well and was incredibly fast. Then a week ago I noticed that he began to take a few minuets after loading office before it would work at normal speed. I have it linked to the HP connection manager, because it works run normally after the tab appears in the lower right.

I decided to try and Manager of open connections, and all that happens is my processor jumps from 2% to ~ 15%, but no charge screen. Stays any computer in this state until I have completed the process in the Task Manager or you restart the computer. Since then, I realized this problem occurs with all HP (especially coolsence) software.

Any ideas? I thought of all their software to uninstall and reinstall, but it could find on their website. Also, I tried already restotre system to the closest, which did nothing.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download the Intel HD graphics installer on the following link and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp68001-68500/sp68117.exe

Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp73501-74000/sp73543.exe

Once completed the reinstallation of Chipset, do not restart requested, rather open your download folder, right-click on the Intel graphical installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.

When this is finished, stop the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Start Notepad and let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking.

    Kind regards

  • HP Pavilion 500 series: HP support assistant has stopped working on windows 10

I have redownloaded Assistant HP several times since the installation of windows 10; It works twice, maybe, then he said: stopped working-new HP and nouveau1 assistant what is the problem with that?

    Please advise!

The first thing you need to do is to completely uninstall HPSA.  Then, use the version appropriate for your computer listed here.

I suggest to use Revo Uninstaller to remove HPSA.  It will remove the HARD disk as well as all the remains of the BIOS.  I use the FREE version.  The advanced option is best to remove the entire application.

I understand that since you had the laptop he had an overheating problem with a loud fan noise that causes freeze it.

Recently, you have received the message that the CPU fan has stopped working and you couldn't hear the rotation of the fan to the top.

You have removed the fan and checked, but the fan works.  It is possible that the connection was not safe in Notepad.

  • Synaptics touchpad 64-bit improvements has stopped working.

    Hi guys,.

I recently bought new HP 15-r022tx Notebook PC (product number: J6M27PA) which comes with free back, installed windows 7 x 64 and set to update all drivers HP online, after all the last update I get an error message at startup "synaptics touchpad 64-bit improvements has stopped working".

have tried to configure the settings of the mouse but wen I try to access the setting of the mouse, I get an error message "unable to connect to the synaptics pointing device driver.

have uninstalled and re installed driver from hp support still the same problem.

so after some research online and no luck in one of them, I continued using tour by closing the program on the first error message every time you start no function touchpad synaptics as two key scrolling, zoom etc... but sometimes the cursor jumps erratically all about and moves on its own with no contacts in the touchpad, click options do not work wen cursor strats to move each time you start himself, after an observation that I noticed that the mouse works well on (by closing the program some special functions on the error without touchpads) until I right click it (sometimes after the first click a few times After several clicks) until I right click on using the keyboard, the mouse seems to be working well but after I right click of the mouse, he goes to his way.

    any suggestions guys

    Thanks guys...

Finally, I found a fix for the touchpad driver. Looking at the page of the recommended laptop touchpad driver laptop 15-r022tx, I noticed that in the tab system requirements, only Windows 8 is mentioned. It seems that this driver only works for Windows 8. In Google search again for the Synaptics touchpad driver, I found this link to the HP Web site.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?CC=UK&LC=en&softwareitem=ob-116587-1

This driver is supported for all variants of Windows 7 - x 32 and x 64 (as told by the website).

The driver in this link works perfectly well for computer laptop 15-r022tx. Downloaded and installed the driver. He followed with a reboot. The multi touch features and scrollbars now work correctly in my Windows 7 x 64 operating system.

"Where you go, there you are."

    Hi Mikey,

Looks like you're running the Digital Persona of SimplePass flavor.

Two things to consider / try, in order.

If the reset works, you don't have to reinstall the driver...

    • Hard reset
    • Reinstall the driver

    Hard Reset:

Sometimes, all you need to do is the computer suddenly.  This method works for a variety of connection and "glued" program issues.

    • Disconnect all the external devices first.
    • Remove the AC power and battery
    • Press and hold the power button while in the minus 30 seconds
    • Reinstall the power supply for the first start only * see Note
    • Power on - connect
    • Next time you shut down the system, replace the battery.

    * Note: You can ignore the little battery aside.  If you wish, replace the battery the first time and do it with her.

Validity fingerprint sensor Driver sp52354 V2.1.0.2

    • Install the validity sensor Driver installation package: it if called sp*.exe - the package will be most likely located in the downloads folder.  If you have control of "Admin", you can highlight the package and "double-click on ' to install it, otherwise just right-click, select"Run as Administrator"and install.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 6b51ea: GPU stuck at Intel, AMD GPU has stopped working

    A year ago, I received a notification of the CCC AMD the driver update and did. Since then, the 7400 m has stopped working and still did not so after;

    (a) rolling back drivers

    (b) reinstall the drivers from the HP website

    (c) using the system to factory settings restore

After some research I found that the discrete GPU in HP laptops only works with the drivers offered by HP, but those who fail to solve the problem of too.

I put Powerplay use Max Performance and even tried to disable ULPS, which of course failed because the system is locked ' dynamic single setting.

Active power plan still shows as powerful, but it's the GPU integrated in use, not dedicated

Also recently upgraded to Windows 10, had no problems but GPU problem remains

AMD Catalyst Control Center poster always I have 7400M and hardware of MSI Afterburner monitoring shows his temperature to 45 c but 0% use of the GPU.

When running games that allowed, with Powerplay can jump on the 7400 M, still work on the weak integrated Intel graphics.

HP Support Assistant cannot detect all problems, troubleshooting

    HP Pavilion dv7-6b51ea

    Appreciate the help.

Thanks for your help, very much appreciated a response.

Assuming that I am in a bind.

HP should not make laptops for gamers or those who buy specifically for the use of the dedicated GPU, if they cannot upgrade their GPU drivers dedicated by the manufacturer of this GPU IMO.

Sister with a DV6 bought with my DV7 (2012) was lucky, I tried the update before she accepted AMD update notification

Guess I will gift to a parent who does not require the dedicated GPU and I'll have to make sure my next laptop supports the amd/nvidia driver unlike HP updates of course

    Hello Richard Popp,.

I'm not an expert on Quicken so I do not know what help I will be.
You could look at this post on the Quicken Forum and see if this information helps you.
    https://qlc.Intuit.com/post/show_post_full_view/cppSsgKbWr3PYHacfArQA8

1 Quicken uninstall using the Windows Control Panel

    2. run qcleanui.exe and clean all versions.

    3. restart your PC

4 Quicken resettlement to a new distinct and NOT in the Program Files folder in the folder where your Quicken data resides and install as administrator (if on Vista).

5 update Quicken at the last updated R6.

  • Office Pavilion Elite HPE message: AMD/ATI Video Driver has stopped working properly

I have a Windows 7 Desktop HPE-410y, this morning, that the flag of the action center was at the bottom of the screen.  I clicked on it and there was a message: AMD/ATI Video Driver has stopped working properly.  He also said I should click on a link for a solution to this problem, but of course when I made the site of HP said that the page does not exist.

Maybe say if you have in fact noticed nothing else Action Center indicator would be useful.  If it seems to you that the computer was OK and run satisfactorly, then perhaps he had already solved the problem.  Usually reviews can occur if a program did unexpected things and crashed the video driver, then the driver recovered.

HP site can be set to an old page.  The real driver has not been updated recently on the HP site.
