Hello

Try the following.

Download the Intel HD graphics installer on the following link and save it in your downloads folder.

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp68001-68500/sp68117.exe

Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp73501-74000/sp73543.exe

Once completed the reinstallation of Chipset, do not restart requested, rather open your download folder, right-click on the Intel graphical installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.

When this is finished, stop the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Start Notepad and let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking.

Kind regards

The screen has stopped working on a relatively new U920t. It displays second screen on the TV, but the actual screen shines in computer mode not all laptop or tablet.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

    > It displays second screen on the TV, but the actual screen shines in computer mode not all laptop or tablet.

This means that there is nothing wrong with the graphics chip on the motherboard, but without doubt the connection between the screen and map mother isn t OK or maybe the internal display is faulty.

Is that it is a hardware issue and you should contact Toshiba authorized service provider in your country for repair.
If the warranty is valid, the laptop must be repaired for free.

  • Satellite A100 - screen has stopped working

    Hello

yesterday in vista, he said that he detected an external monitor, even if I never used any external monitor to my laptop. In display properties, he said I had several monitors and in Device Manager it says that I had a pnp and a monitor not Plug-and-Play...

The screen has stopped working after a reboot. I see nothing on the screen during the loading process indicating normally the toshiba and the vista loading screen. But once vista has started (the sound still works), the screen works again.

This has me worried and I reinstalled vista from the cd, but now the screen never... never.
But I know that vista has been correctly installed that after what he asked, can I still use alt + f4 and enter to stop.

Well, I can't even make troubleshooting procedures on my own that never, the screen now works. -.-
Does anyone have experience with this?

    Hello

I've never heard of such question it s so very interesting to hear about this issue. Given that you never connected an external monitor, it must be something else...
Did you ever done some update the BIOS on this machine?

Maybe, if you have some, this could be the problem. Otherwise, I have a work around (it could be useful):

Remove the AC adapter and the battery from the machine and leave the machine for some time (1-2 hours). Then, start the machine and check if it works.

If this isn't the case, then you must send your machine to the service since it could be a serious hardware problem (I mean if you really reinstalled vista and problems persist after the reinstallation, then it IS definitely a hardware problem).

You can also try some update BIOS if it is not already done...

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6c52ea all HP software has stopped working...

Hi recentally purchased my DV7 (in the last two weeks), everything began to work very well and was incredibly fast. Then a week ago I noticed that he began to take a few minuets after loading office before it would work at normal speed. I have it linked to the HP connection manager, because it works run normally after the tab appears in the lower right.

I decided to try and Manager of open connections, and all that happens is my processor jumps from 2% to ~ 15%, but no charge screen. Stays any computer in this state until I have completed the process in the Task Manager or you restart the computer. Since then, I realized this problem occurs with all HP (especially coolsence) software.

Any ideas? I thought of all their software to uninstall and reinstall, but it could find on their website. Also, I tried already restotre system to the closest, which did nothing.

Anyway, tahnks to help in advance,

PS also do not know if this is related, but having a simular problem where the host appilication says catalyst control center has stopped working. Best solution I've found for that is just to remove the CCC, as it doesn't seem to be necessary. Thanks again

OK, I gave up in the end and used the inbuild factory restore...

everything seems to work fine now, just lost some of my files, but I can those back. First thing that I'll do this time, is to create a backup disk.

  • Resizing in prompt screen has stopped working

I use Fusion 8.1 on an iMac and have invited Ubuntu 15.10. Automatic resizing of the screen worked fine until today - IE, I could get the resolutions of arbitrary screen just by resizing the window. But after the update of Ubuntu, which has stopped working. Now, it is a fixed resolution, as set out in the Ubuntu community.

I deleted and reinstalled VM tools, but that didn't make a difference. A reflection as to where I expect next?

    Hello

With the latest version of Ubuntu, you must not use the supplied VMware tools, but use Ubuntu open-vmware-tools package.

You must not only open-vmware-tools, but also open-vmware-tools-desktop computer for the actual integration of office.

(Sorry not a 15.10 nearby, ubuntu naming may be a bit off, try open-vm-tools if the above does not do anything in apt - get)

  • My HP Envy touch screen has stopped working after an update of the HP Bios yesterday

Can someone tell me please how to fix my touch screen. I got an HP BIOS update which caused my touch screen to stop working. I tried to re - calibrate the it, but it does not accept my contact telling me that the screen is no longer enabled.

I tried to find where to turn them on and couldn't find where to enable touch of the finger. I also tried looking for driver updates and driver seems to be up-to-date.

    Thank you

I have another type of TouchSmart, but this may work for you:

    1. Press Windows + X logo (if you are using a Windows computer 8 - If Windows 7, click the Start button, type Device Manager and click on Device Manager in the results of research).
    2. Select Device Manager from the list.
    3. Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
    4. Click the touchscreen driver (in my case, Voltron NextWindow touch screen).
    5. Right click and select Activate from the list.
    6. Click Yes if a dialog box asks if you are sure you want to activate the touch screen driver.

On some models, it is unclear which device in the checklist of the touch screen. I read in other posts that some people have solved the problem by disabling and then re-enabling each device.

If this does not work, you could try to go to hp.com (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html) and click on driver downloads &.
In the search field, enter your product name or number, and then click OK. Select your operating system from the drop down list under Select your operating system, and then click Next. If there is no graphic driver available under Select a download below, click on the plus sign next to the driver - graphics, and then click the name of the driver. In the information and download options window, click Download. Follow the instructions on the screen to download the driver. Restart the computer.

  • HP 15 laptop: touch screen has stopped working

I have a HP TouchSmart laptop computer model 15-f010wm, product number J8A22UA #ABA, 8.1 with Bing 64-bit Windows.

The first day of the 3-4, I used this computer it worked like a charm. I loved. Now a few times touchscreen will work for about 5 min and then stops or does not work. When it stops working, I get a pop up in the lower right corner that says: the last USB device not recognized USB device you connected to this computer has malfunctioned, and the window does not recognize. (I have not plugged anything in this computer but except the power cord)  When this happens and you go to Device Manager sometimes, there will be a yellow! triangle under the Human Interface Devices drop down and some times yellow! triangle will be under Universal Serial Bus controllers list down. And if you go to they system screen line Pen and touch passes to no. Pen or press enter is available for this view.

I tried to do a system restore. Also, I did a test fast system and a comprehensive system. The results have been the primary battery check ok and all the others said past. And of course I can't make the screen test because the touch screen does not work.

Please help me with this. My computer was a gift, my other is really old and was ready for an upgrade. I've never had problem with HP before.

    Hello

I use Samsung ATIV XE700T and win 8.
    Happens to me too after I uninstalled the current Wacom driver (7.1.0 - 8-Win8) then install (7.0.9 - 5 - Win 7).
Then why I have installed Win 7 driver if I win 8 as an operating system?
Well, my pen was not working on Adobe Flash Professional (worked nowhere else). So after that I installed the Win 7 driver it started working on perfect Flash too.
I don't know if you've already discovered but if you plug a usb device, finger touch works for awhile, then again stops working. And the same thing happens when you plug the device you plugged in.
As I am an Illustrator with the stylus on the Flash for drawing is a priority for me so I did re-install the driver for Win8 again.
    Solution:

    1. go to "Control Panel-> programs" and uninstall the driver current (ISD Tablet).
    2. restart your computer.
    3. download and install this driver.
    4 restart your computer.

    You're done!
    Kind regards

  • HP Pavilion 500 series: HP support assistant has stopped working on windows 10

I have redownloaded Assistant HP several times since the installation of windows 10; It works twice, maybe, then he said: stopped working-new HP and nouveau1 assistant what is the problem with that?

    Please advise!

The first thing you need to do is to completely uninstall HPSA.  Then, use the version appropriate for your computer listed here.

I suggest to use Revo Uninstaller to remove HPSA.  It will remove the HARD disk as well as all the remains of the BIOS.  I use the FREE version.  The advanced option is best to remove the entire application.

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.

  • Touch screen has stopped working - HP Pavilion 23 all-in-one

Touch screen no longer responds to any contact afer 9 months use.    Details of the said system - touch compatible HID "this device works correctly.

    Hi JohnSevenoaks,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your post on how your touchscreen no longer work, and I would be happy to guide you to a resolution! To start, I have to ask you a few questions:

    • What is product and model number from your desktop?
    • What version of Windows you have installed on your computer?
    • Have you installed a new software or hardware on your computer recently?
    • Has your computer has completed its important Windows updates?

In the meantime, please follow this document on the HP TouchSmart PC - troubleshooting problems of touchscreen Windows 7 or for Windows 8. This should help to determine if the problem is software or hardware related.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information. I look forward to your reply!

    See you soon!

  • Pavilion g7, Windows 7, screen has stopped working.

The last time that I was able to use the computer, I checked email (AOL), then close normally. The next time the computer started very well, heard sounds of connection, but alas, screen was completely black and dead.

I hooked to an external HD monitor and everything is fine, but neither sign nor AMD software will detect even the screen.

Tried a restore back a few weeks but no luck, still no screen.

The video card is dead? and if so, how easy/costly to replace.

I'm a little discouraged because I bought only this month of August.

    Curious in Cincy.

I understand that you want to know if the video card is dead.

If an external monitor works without any problem, then it is the LCD and not the video card.  If the video card has failed, no monitor would have worked.  It's a great way to determine if a video problem is the video card or the LCD screen.  This could be the Panel itself or the cable Ribbon itself.  You won't really know that it is until you open to discover.  In all cases, the water was connected to the LCD screen and is not available separately.

If it is under warranty, then I would contact HP for service.  If this isn't the case, then you can contact HP for a quote and compare that to the price of the local PC stores.

If you are savvy enough to replace the LCD, then you may be able to replace the supplied Panel you can find the right parts.

What is the number of product of the laptop?  This should be found in the same place as the serial number.

NOTE: Provide NOT the serial number.

If you are interested in an auto repair, I was able to find the right part number of HP for you to be able to find the right parts.

    Hello

I got my HP laptop for a little over a month now, a week ago, my Windows 8 made a update, I rebooted my computer and all of a sudden my Synaptics Clickpad stop job.

I literally tried everything to solve this problem. I went through my laptop settings and my clickpad is not to see the like shut off, I disabled and allows him to make sure. I ended up finding a new driver Synaptics by HP.com, I installed it and my clickpad started working again. I restarted my computer and was able to use my clickpad on the login screen, but once that I logged it disappeared again. I tried to go through all the possible settings and there is nothing that solved my problem.
