  Try the following.

  Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

  Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

  After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  My screen goes black when I start windows 7 on my laptop of Dm1 Hp Paviliom. Also, I have connected my pc to an external monitor via VGA cable, and then I can see the windows operating system in the external monitor. I did a test to start and then I got these results:

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I appreciate all the information and the results of the tests that you did. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dm1-3025dx Entertainment Notebook PC and the laptop does not start. In my view, that the question is called the RTC battery. (Real TIme Clock).  Here isa document to show you how you can replace that.

  If you see things very well on a screen, it might be a bad driver has been installed. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

  When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

Before formatting, I used a software key finder to get the Windows key from the original Windows 7 installed on my laptop, so I could use it to validate the other copy of Windows 7, but I found that I get an error 0xC004F063 code, the computer BIOS missing licence reqd

  Well, this would mean that you have to order the official HP recovery media to restore factory.

  I'm glad you got the webcam to work.

  Because your model is a CTO (set up to order), there is no form for the model you own.

  The best way to know if your model has bluetooth is to go to the Device Manager and look at the list of devices.

  Near the top, there should be a Bluetooth icon (in alphabetical order).

  If it is not a list while there should be a device with one! Mark who need drivers if there is a bluetooth module and the correct driver is not installed, this is what you would see.

  If you don't see all of this look in the Device Manager, most likely your PC did not come with BT

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! Thanks for the awesome screenshots , very very useful.  I looked into your problem on your laptop HP Pavilion 15 and BSOD showing twice a day. Here is a link to uninstall the graphics card AMD Cardinal restart the computer after you have done this. It should automatically reinstall the driver.

  You could go to HP to get the drivers for your model.

  for months after obtaining this laptop I blamed Youtube for playback of gravity was

  now that I have time to try to watch movies, I find that if I try to play any movie via a file of 700 to 800 MB in size, the video playback is choppy as well as with a CPU maxed out.

  What is it?  Shouldn't this machine be able to handle video files of 2 GB?  I would not be able to play a youtube video on full screen?  Rental video buffer does not help.

  I don't have the application of upgrade of windows 10. I also had problems with upgrading to windows 7, although it seems to have fixed itself.

  MS showed no perceptible tendency on the plan which received the upgrade of Win10 application.  If you want to upgrade now, then use the tool of creation of media since the link and choose the option to upgrade the PC: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

  But until you do that, you should seriously consider making an image backup of your PC - because the GoBack function is known to be unreliable.  Suggest using Macrium Reflect:

  Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

  What I recommend is the following:
  (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
  (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup on an external drive
  (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

  NOW, you have the means to restore a full functional system of externally by car in a few minutes only.

• Pavilion DM1: Problems upgrading to Windows 10 on HP Pavilion DM1 Notebook

  Hello, I have a laptop 4300sa DM1.

  It comes with Win8 and was slow as hell (just using the internet) so upgraded to Win10 with the new facility.

  Still slow so suspect drivers obsolete, etc.

  Laptop is almost unusable with processeor operating at 100% for minor tasks (I have not installed anything funny) Windows updates only.

  Research on the HP website, it can not find the drivers for my laptop and recommend only to use Windows Update.

  Great, but Windows update not will not check my BIOS etc then where do I go from here?

  The problem is not drivers or BIOS is the processor AMD E2. Just not up to par, I'm afraid.

  Not a problem, but a solution for those who seek to increase the capacity of their PC laptop.  I was running out of space on my Pavilion DM1 Notebook.  I saw that price had descended on the disks hybrid and bought a Seagate 1 TB computer laptop SSHD SATA 6 Gbit/s 64 MB 9.5 mm HDD and a 2.0 black external enclosure USB Hard Drive for HDD SATA 2.5 in and cloned drive using Macrium Reflect www.macrium.com. I went the readers and extend the partition using the Partition Wizard Creation of www.partitionwizard.com. The laptop works perfectly, so something a little faster because of the part SSD disk in combination with Windows 10.

  The solution ultimately is to buy a Seagate 1 TB computer laptop SSHD SATA 6 Gbit/s 64 MB 9.5 mm hard drive and a 2.5 in. 2.0 black external enclosure USB Hard Drive SATA HDD and clone the drive using Macrium Reflect www.macrium.com. Remove the old drive and install the new 1 TB drive and extend the partition using the Partition Wizard Creation of www.partitionwizard.com.  Keep the old drive as a backup copy in the 2.5 in USB 2.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure.

  I have a Pavilion dm1 notebook, running Windows 7 32 bit which is suddenly unable to connect to the wireless network. I know that wireless works very well as other devices are plugged on, and it works very well for the last few months. I connected the netbook directly on the modem with the cable.

  The wireless switch is on - watch the blue light on the wireless key. I tried to turn the computer and the internet router / wireless market of several times. When I click on the network key in the toolbar, it does not give me the ability to scan for WiFi networks, and when I try and set up a new network of the only option it gives me is using DSL/cable broadband.

  I have tried many 'solutions' to try to get a chance to see a wireless network but no luck.

  Completed by reinstalling the latest drivers and all of a sudden 10 wireless networks appeared. Did not work the first time I tried it but good! Second time lucky.

  I have a HP Pavilion dm1-4000au Entertainment Notebook PC (QG411PA) running Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit for more than two years already. During these periods so far, whenever my laptop is idle for an hour or two, the keyboard and the touchpad suddenly stops working, without worrying if his operation on battery or AC.

  I always ensure that I have an external mouse in order for me to navigate correctly and pull up the screen keyboard to type when this issue arises.

  Steps to drain the static charge and load the BIOS default settings to solve the problem

  Step 01. Turn off the laptop

  Step 02. Disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

  Step 03. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for a minute

  Step 04. Now re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter

  Step 05. Start Notepad and keep pressing the F10 key during startup to access the BIOS

  Step 06. Once you get the BIOS, please press F5 or F9 key to load the default settings for the BIOS

  Step 07. Now press ESC/ESC. Save Changes and Exit - Yes

  Step 08. Now, please wait until the unit load the Windows operating system
