HP pavilion dv6-2115sa card mother and processor replacement
Hello world
I have a HP Pavilion DV6-2115sa
Product number: WB330EA #ABU
It is out of warranty and one day when he began cutting during the boot. I brought it to a local store and they gave me a ridiculous price for a replacement motherboard.
I came across one with HP Pavilion DV6-2113sa auction to sell for a small price with a motherboard completely functional.
I wanted to ask if it is possible to move the motherboard for my laptop and possibly putting my processor in the new motherboard?
I would very much apreciate any responses as the id would like to know if there is any time to do the 2113sa?

Hello:
I would speculate that it is certainly possible.
Here are links to the two models.

I would say that they have the same processor family that they have the same motherboard.

I want to change my HP Pavilion DV7 3010eg motherboard and processor. As well as the graphics, if possible. Need suggestions. Please guide so I can do.
Well, you can certainly to some extent, but the question is whether you should. There is no Motherboard upgrade. You have the best AMD motherboard that can fit in the plastic case, with the highest card and the best video. You can upgrade the processor to a:

Pavilion dv6 Notebook: card WiFi and RAM update
My WiFi is not able to go as fast as the speed that I pay the cable company. I tell myself that if I pay for it I would be able to go that fast. How can I tell what will work in my notebook? Same question as the RAM. Currently I have 4 GB and would like to go as far as I can.
Please tell me what I need to know, in layman's terms, to buy what I need.
Thank you!

Error 0X0000007E Stop after installing the new card mother and CPU.
Original title: Stop error after installing the new card mother and CPU.
After I installed a new motherboard and CPU I got a stop error 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0XB77EA756, 0XB84C742C, 0xB84C7128) and it restarted immediately. It always starts in safe mode, but I can't understand what is wrong. The old processor is a pentium 4 3 ghz, not sure what the motherboard was, new processor is AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual core 4200 + and I only know that the motherboard is an ASUS socket AM2. Device Manager does not recognize the CPU correctly, it shows just two entries called processor. As far as I can tell, it's almost certainly a driver issue, but I don't know how to diagnose or fix this. I am running windows XP home, I removed my video card, running 2 hard drives at 120 g (M) and 200 g (S), a DVD drive (M) and a reader of CD (S), and a stick of RAM to 1 GB.
If you have made the change without having to reinstall XP, you will be taking and Pray H@ll. the best thing to do would be to reinstall XP and make sure you have the drivers available for your motherboard available so that you can update the installed chipset. In addition, be aware that if you have an OEM of Windows version, the license is dead when you changed the mother/CPU card.
I hope this helps.

Hey icuhavoc
are recovery disks to reinstall vista with the original hardware installed if I understand you correctly know what records you need to know a set of manufacturer's recovery disks
If it is pre-installed this is an oem license and does not change unless you did it in consultation with the manufacturer of models of motherboards and processors

I want to improve my card mother and CPU on my PC. I like to keep all my settings from my games, etc, so I don't have to buy/purchase new and purchase/buy a new OS Win. I am running Win 7 Pro. What is the best way to address the issue? I keep my OS on a SSD and all the other stuff is on a separate HARD disk. Basically, I need to install the new chipset and other pilots MB.
You can save files and settings and restore to the new installation of Windows, but the games cannot be guaranteed. Just give a try. If it works, it's fine. If this isn't the case, you must reinstall the games.

Some time ago, I built a PC with an operating system of Windows 7 64 bit with an ASrock 880GMH/USB3 R2.0 motherboard equipped with an AMD Athlon II X processor 2 260 3.20 GHz which took his life an intermittent fault, the fault is that it intermittently does not detect not the monitor, when she made this so I shut down the computer with the power button because it is a white screen, once I do that then it will boot normally for a while, then happens again, I've worked on this problem for far too long and decided to change my motherboard and processor, what I want to know is, 'it will affect my hard drive. I have a recovery and a picture of disk and file system and files backed up on an external drive, not long ago I installed a new larger hard drive and installed a clean, so it doesn't have something to do with the hard drive, I'd rather not have to do another clean install properly reactivate and I have already once recently reactivated.
See you soonWet WullieAn oem version is linked to the first PC (hardware) its on and cannot be transferred to a new hardware - that's why its cheaper than a commercial full version

Your laptop's card with Intel Dual core with UMA graphics card and the USB 3.0 version.
The high processor upgrade possible, without changing the Board of Directors is 2640M i7 dual core (HP 666173-001 part number). Not much of a performance gain.
If you want to upgrade to QuadCore i7 (i7 quad core 2860QM), you have to replace the Board of Directors. It'll be better buying a new laptop with the better than going to this costly upgrade card.

Basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:
- New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
- Need new card system (certainly),
- Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
- May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
- Cost of the work.
- Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.
I hope this helps.

Pavilion dv6 problem with webcam and microphone
Hello
I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6156ea, which is a little more than a month. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium.
Today, tried to use the webcam and microphone for the first time, a Skype call, but none of them does not seem to work.
The webcam is not displayed in Device Manager, but the microphone is.
When I opened Cyberlink Youcam, it does not recognize that there is an internal webcam.
What should I do to activate the microphone and the cam?I followed the link below and follow the instructions. But the webcam is not displayed in Device Manager.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02452221
Because is not find the device, I don't know how to update the drivers.
I don't know how to solve the problem with the microphone. I don't know if these things are likely to be associated.
Any help appreciated
Thank you
Feel a little silly answering myself, but no one responded and I thought it is best to share what I found out.
The webcam was defective, straight out of the box.
And the microphone is connected to these features, but uses a different driver - if your microphone works, it could be a sign that your problem is with the driver for the cam.
I bought the PC world a month ago, so there was although it is very busy. It was the second faulty webcam in HP they had returned today - most early was a dv7. There was no problem with replace - they took a glance, considered to be the installation of the drivers on a disc, but when it was not displayed in Device Manager and the microphone works not more, they knew right away.
It really shows control of very poor quality of Hewlett-Packard. It's a shame that in the first weeks, I was really happy with this model, but realistically, now I know that this is what looks like their QC, when my company needs its next piece I'll go with anything other than HP.

Pavilion dv6-2115aa: Pavilion dv6-2115sa BIOS corruption failure
My laptop does not start and flashes the caps locks and MOM sighted twice, which according to locking elsewhere on the forum, is a BIOS corruption failure. However, I can't find a BIOS version anywhere on the HP support site to re-install it, especially not for Win10. Will there be a third safe to download from?
Too bad, found here:

HP pavilion dv7 1260us: upgrade memory and processor for hp pavilion dv7 1260us
I was wondering if possible to upgrade my memory and processor... hp pavilion dv7 1260us?
Here are the specs:
You have an AMD Turion RM-74 processor and 4 GB of RAM. The RAM is DDR2 and it may take 8 GB of DDR2, but that the memory of any reputable vendor is crazy expensive, like $150 ++ for 2 x 4 gig modules.
Here is the Service Manual:
The top of the page compatible processor is an AMD Turion™ Ultra Dual-Core 35W ZM-86 2.40 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache
If you want to go from 2.2 ghz to 1 meg to 2.4 ghz with 2 MB of L2 cache L2 cache, may be a treatment of 20% energy improvement. Not enough, IMO, to justify the difficulty because it is still not in the ballpark of machines of today.
You can buy the processor from a dealer renowned for $15 with free shipping. That should tell you what the demand is for her. Basically obsolete.
I replaced motherboards in several series dv7-1000, and it is one of the harder to take apart laptops. Many cables in strange tablecloth and Remora in all directions.
We are ready to help in any way possible with the upgrade, but in this case probably the best advice that I can give you is "don't".
If it's 'the Answer' please click on 'Accept as Solution' to help others find it.
