  Hello, I have the laptop above, bought on / 12/2010.  Because I dropped it by mistake, he cracked the tank down to the left and the hingue screen is loose so I have one vision of the white screen now, but other that the laptop works.  It does not guarantee the expense to fix this problem, so I decided to buy a new laptop and keep this one as a desktop use.  I connected it to an old CRT monitor right now and it works very well and does the job (I turn ends up getting a HP Monitor to have a more modern monitor).  I am actually very happy that there is still life in this book, the view is much better on this old CRT monitor and other that the stupid error in fact throw my bag of books without realizing that the laptop was in it (one lap memory), this laptop has been well looked after - the only problem is that it's sometimes very hot , do not know why because I don't really play games on it, but I understand this model had this problem anyway.

  To improve the stimulation I wonder if I can install a cache to speed up hard drive 32 gb WSSD.  I want to know if this process is simple enough for me to make my own.  It is a card that I just bought and plug a peripheral location or is it something that needs to get inside the laptop; where a technician must do?  In addition, how about installing a better graphics card while I am?  It currently has an integrated approach.

  Graphics on laptops are usually soldered to the motherboard.  Laptops, when it comes to critical components, are generally locked in this configuration.  Some components, such as the processor, may be possible, but it is not an easy task.

  This guide by erico, one of community experts, answers a lot of questions about the hardware upgrade in a notebook.  This may be worth reading, if the upgrade of equipment is something that you are interested in.

  Unlike desktop computers, laptops are not really designed to be upgraded.  This is largely due to how the laptop has cooling in mind.  More powerful components will generate more heat and the initial design of cooling (fans, heat and air sinks) may not be enough to handle the extra heat being generated.

  It really looks like that this laptop does not what you're looking for.  The graphics card is something that is usually not extensible/now, and it does not appear that this unit has the architecture required to support the option of disk cache.  Just to add some clarification, the architecture of disk cache usually relies on a RAID configuration to accomplish this task.   This laptop comes stock with a cache of WSSD 32 GB drive.  Looks like ultrabooks include a cache drive that I looked at four different large and each had a disk cache included.  They do not have the list in the specifications of the laptop, but it was listed when I chose the option of customization.  However, more than likely ultrabooks won't the video card you are looking for because of the compact size that ultrabooks are designed.  The desire line generally has most of the options for video cards.

  I use a hp pavilion dv6 7078ca for about two years now. A few days ago, he showed me a B90 error at startup. The error was on the cooling fan will not work correctly.   I ordered a HP Pavilion DV6-6C56SA about a week ago, and since a few days, the fan has started to act up and is noisy (I did not do anything to cause this because she was flat on a desk since purchased), and I noticed after moving the lap top himself at times, the fan stops momentarily , as if it has come loose, so touching the surface of the laptop internally. I also checked my temperature levels, and they seemed pretty normal, so I come to the conclusion that the fan is not broken but loose on its axis may be.

  I soon open my laptop top to replace the thermal paste in the motherboard and clean the fan in my computer. I base what I'm OFF this Youtube video:

  I intend using E2 IC compound thermal essential, an anti-static wristband and a few screwdrivers to this "operation". Not to mention that static electricity and what is mentioned in the video (essentially to remove tons of screws until I can take out the motherboard, then clean the old thermal paste and put new in) is there anything else I need to keep in mind?

  This is a very good video. If you follow, you will have no problems. Just be sure to apply thermal grease sparingly. It should just cover the bright core of the processor and not slop on the Green CPU card.

  Yes. You are right, but I wouldn't recommend that you must change the CPU on your own.

  Second thing I wouldn't recommend it for sure is any i7 processor in this list because they are models of 1st generation who quickly evacuates the battery.

  Remember that if you change the CPU and your laptop is still under warranty then you will lose it.
