installation of a hard drive accelearation 32 gb on HP Pavilion dv6-3127dx WSSD

Re: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook, #XG756UA, #ABA, Windows 7

Hello, I have the laptop above, bought on / 12/2010.  Because I dropped it by mistake, he cracked the tank down to the left and the hingue screen is loose so I have one vision of the white screen now, but other that the laptop works.  It does not guarantee the expense to fix this problem, so I decided to buy a new laptop and keep this one as a desktop use.  I connected it to an old CRT monitor right now and it works very well and does the job (I turn ends up getting a HP Monitor to have a more modern monitor).  I am actually very happy that there is still life in this book, the view is much better on this old CRT monitor and other that the stupid error in fact throw my bag of books without realizing that the laptop was in it (one lap memory), this laptop has been well looked after - the only problem is that it's sometimes very hot , do not know why because I don't really play games on it, but I understand this model had this problem anyway.

To improve the stimulation I wonder if I can install a cache to speed up hard drive 32 gb WSSD.  I want to know if this process is simple enough for me to make my own.  It is a card that I just bought and plug a peripheral location or is it something that needs to get inside the laptop; where a technician must do?  In addition, how about installing a better graphics card while I am?  It currently has an integrated approach.

Any help is appreciated, so thanks in advance.

Graphics on laptops are usually soldered to the motherboard.  Laptops, when it comes to critical components, are generally locked in this configuration.  Some components, such as the processor, may be possible, but it is not an easy task.

This guide by erico, one of community experts, answers a lot of questions about the hardware upgrade in a notebook.  This may be worth reading, if the upgrade of equipment is something that you are interested in.

Unlike desktop computers, laptops are not really designed to be upgraded.  This is largely due to how the laptop has cooling in mind.  More powerful components will generate more heat and the initial design of cooling (fans, heat and air sinks) may not be enough to handle the extra heat being generated.

It really looks like that this laptop does not what you're looking for.  The graphics card is something that is usually not extensible/now, and it does not appear that this unit has the architecture required to support the option of disk cache.  Just to add some clarification, the architecture of disk cache usually relies on a RAID configuration to accomplish this task. Since the RAID (Intel RST) driver is missing from the download page, it seems that this device does not have RAID capacities.

If the startup speed is something you are looking for, the upgrade of the disk as a whole to a standard SSD can be the best option for your needs.  However, watching a new laptop can be the best option if you want to also material improved, such as the graphics card.

This laptop comes stock with a cache of WSSD 32 GB drive.  Looks like ultrabooks include a cache drive that I looked at four different large and each had a disk cache included.  They do not have the list in the specifications of the laptop, but it was listed when I chose the option of customization.  However, more than likely ultrabooks won't the video card you are looking for because of the compact size that ultrabooks are designed.  The desire line generally has most of the options for video cards.

    Hi tryagain.
-for your first problem (hard drive size), try a 160 GB drive, it should work (your current drive is a 60 GB?) but also 320 GB should work
in my possession, I found if a 60 GB HDD runs on a larger controller also works...
-for the second (installation of win), you can avoid activating windows again by cloning your system on new hard drive
There are tools available free clone that you can use
-for the last one (manual for old Toshibas) there is a point 'archive' choose in the download area where 'real old' operating manuals can be downloaded,
but I think you're looking for more information to dismantle your machine - I can't find anything like that also...
but good! No not guaranteed - no a cry... for your 430 ;-)

  • How can I empty the Windows installation on my hard drive?

How can I empty the Windows installation on my hard drive, please?  I was going to re - install, then I changed my mind.
Now, every time that I reboot, instead of launching Windows XP Pro, it try to run Windows installation.  The installation program appears as a second menu item under "Windows XP Pro" on the black screen at launch.

How can I remove it from the startup screen and flush it out of my system?

    Any correction, automated for this?

    Thank you.

It is difficult to determine what you did, but the symptoms you describe can be eliminated by editing the boot.ini file (you can also make things really difficult if you make a mistake when you edit the boot.ini file, so be careful).  Will not be "flush out the Windows installation" of your system, but it will stop the menu from appearing at startup time.

    See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022

Your boot.ini file probably has a second line in the [operating systems] section.  Make sure that you delete only the line that points to the installation routine.

  • Failure of hard drive on HP laptop DV 6000 Pavilion Windows XPsp3 OS - need help data recovery

Failure of hard drive on HP laptop DV 6000 Pavilion - need help data recovery

HP Pavilion DV 6108 NR, RG365UA, purchased late 2006 at best buy, with Windows XP, upgrade to Service Pack 3. It has a Fujitsu 60 GB HDD partitioned into C: and a D: Recovery.

Windows tries to start, but goes to a blue screen with the message: "Unmountable Boot Volume" for a second, then just guard recycling until I force a shutdown.

Phoenix BIOS, hard drive test result: "Fail #1-08".

I ran a program to drive on the Cdrive analysis/recovery and it seems to show the directory structure intact, and he was able to recover some files. I used the free Seagate (which only retrieves the small files). The second pass only works so well and in the third set as the program says that I should not go further, and I need to contact a professional drive recovery company.

However, drive D seems to be intact, so I wonder if the disc is damaged or just one aspect of the logical drive C is bad.

How can I get the D: to run recovery on it software? The recovery discs, made by Best Buy, just proceed to the R / F / Q option screen, and when I press R, I get a blue screen every time.
Pressing the F10 key at startup bothers me nowhere. Ditto the key F11.

I don't like hard disk; This is the data (files, documents, images, etc.) that I want to.
I contacted HP to order recovery disks, but they are no longer available for my computer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Jon

I've been in these situations for the third time the week last 1. That this error really means? It is time to replace the HARD drive?

Thanks in advance for your time on this reading.

    Hello:

Yes, you should backup your files and replace the hard drive because it will ultimately be completely conk out on you.

No one will be able to tell you what those generated codes mean.

The key words here are hard drive has failed.

Besides the updates, there are two types of license and (excluding the Media Center) two versions of Windows XP.

    License types: OEM and retail

    Version types: Home and Professional

Just because you have professional does not mean that it is not OEM.

OEM licenses must have a certificate of authenticity with activation key stuck to the case somewhere commercial Versions have not an activation key sticker will accompany the installation media.

  • Windows Vista will not complete installation on SATA hard drive

I tried to install Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit on a new desktop computer Acer X 1200 (less than 1 year).  Vista recognizes the drive, format and copy all the files on the disk installation.  Then restarts, is preparing to launch for the first time and get to the part where it says installation finished and hangs there.  The green progress bar does not move and it hangs indefinitely.  The hard drive is SATA and I put a new disc in hard, but exactly the same thing happened.  The motherboard has no IDE port on it and there is no option in the BIOS for the IDE emulation.  At this point I think the motherboard is bad, but I am working also on a laptop HP 1 year with SATA hard drive that does exactly the same thing.  The two systems are pre-installed with Vista Home Premium.  The two systems see the hard drive, but will not complete installation.  I even tried to run the WD Tools Data Lifeguard before installation with no luck at all.  There is no error message or error code, just of hangs and end no installation.  You have any suggestions for this?  Thank you.

Why I can not install Lightroom to a custom through the creative cloud location?

Lightroom must be installed on your local disk and cannot be installed to a creative custom as other Cloud applications location. Lightroom always installs to the default location and does not take into account any preference you select for a custom location. This behavior is specified.

  • Satellite Pro M45 overheating after a few updates and installation of new HARD drive

I have a sat pro p4 overheated now. I tried the old hoover and this does not work. The thing is that both fans do not seem to turn on. All this happened after I downloaded some updates to put on a new hard drive, I bought.

Now the fans are not at all turns. My m/b is actually a model of the A45 and I put a 2.0/128/400 CPU inside. The old man who was in it is a 2.4./512/533

It seems that you have changed almost everything on the laptop.
    Motherboard, CPU, HARD drive, etc.

Believe me; It s not easy to say why fans don t start. How everyone should exactly known what you did on your laptop?
Maybe the card mother doesn t provide the power for the fan or the connection is failing.
Are you sure that the motherboard is ok?

Unfortunately, all we can do is to hear from you.
But usually some diagnostic tests are needed to locate the fault.

    What can I do?

I have also not found any settings in the BIOS on the formats of SATA and so on.

    Hello:

First you must make sure that you have entered in the BIOS and enabled legacy mode that must disable secure boot.

Then see if the response marked resolved in the link below allows you to install W7 from your USB key.

Your laptop is the same chipset and the 6th series of processor gen like the one referenced in the message.

  • Windows 7 installation - event 'SMART' hard drive / failure

I recently upgraded to Vista Home Premium (shipped with dell in 2007 PC) for Windows 7 Ultimate.  Any upgrade went fine, except that when I rebooted, I keep getting an error of the Intel Matrix Storage Console that my hard drive reports that a SMART event and may soon fail.  I also get a dialog windows 'hard drive error.  I ran a check disk on this subject says bad clusters in windows multiple deletion (out of 10).  Then I ran a sfc scannow command and no violation of integrity.  My concern is that I don't really think that it is a bad drive.  Everything was fine before the upgrade to windows 7.  I went under device mgr and checked to make sure that the Intel Matrix Storage Console had a current pilot, he is listed as version 8.6.2.1012.  I clicked on "update driver", and he said it was common.  I have a SAMSUNG SP2504C hard drive.  At this stage I don't know how to proceed.

All ACTIVE errors are VERY important and SHOULD not be ignored.  SMART monitors the internal sensors of the 'health' hard disk and warns you of 'users' hard drives will probably fail.

You should consider replacing the hard drive or download the Samsung hard drive diagnostic software to test the integrity of the player.   (NOTE: diagnostic tests could erase the hard drive.)

    Hi RStyle1,

    Answers are below:

    (a) Yes, you can use the same disc and serial number to install on a new laptop, if you get an activation error message, you need to contact Adobe technical support.

    (b) the same serial number works on Windows and Mac.

    (c) you can always use Lightroom 4 If you upgrade to version 5, it is up to you to use both versions on machines at your disposal.

    Thank you!
