Pavilion dv6: thermal cleaning fan/paste procedure?
Hi all
I soon open my laptop top to replace the thermal paste in the motherboard and clean the fan in my computer. I base what I'm OFF this Youtube video:
https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=el0B6imb5hg
I intend using E2 IC compound thermal essential, an anti-static wristband and a few screwdrivers to this "operation". Not to mention that static electricity and what is mentioned in the video (essentially to remove tons of screws until I can take out the motherboard, then clean the old thermal paste and put new in) is there anything else I need to keep in mind?
This is a very good video. If you follow, you will have no problems. Just be sure to apply thermal grease sparingly. It should just cover the bright core of the processor and not slop on the Green CPU card.

HP Pavilion dv6 7078ca: laptop fan Hp does not properly
Hello
I use a hp pavilion dv6 7078ca for about two years now. A few days ago, he showed me a B90 error at startup. The error was on the cooling fan will not work correctly. I tried a few methods on other sites such as clean the vents with compressed air, a hard reset and the same update the Bios without success. I removed the keyboard and found that the fan turns, but very slowly and once from time to time he speeds up and slows down again. Temperatures on the laptop seems also about 58 degrees Celsius even with a few applications in the background.
So is there any explanation and correction for why the fan is not accelerate properly and b90 error?
It may be defective and should be replaced.

Pavilion dv6 3230us cooling fan replacement?
Cooling for my Pavilion dv6 3230 fan recently stopped working and I need to find a replacement. However, the part number is not across radiator fan itself. Also, I was not able to find the part number by using the site Web of HP Partsurfer, or by searching for third-party Web sites.
Anyone have any suggestions for how to find a replacement radiator fan that will be compatible with my laptop?
Thanks in advance
The manual is not very useful. This is one of them:
Graphic memory UMA 603690-001
UMA graphics memory with a processor 633384-001
Your model has the processor soldered to the motherboard and card graphics UMA so I think this is the first.
I had these google images by using the part numbers and they look the same to me, but you can compare to yours.

Good luck.

Pavilion DV6-6C56SA free fan?
Hey there,
I ordered a HP Pavilion DV6-6C56SA about a week ago, and since a few days, the fan has started to act up and is noisy (I did not do anything to cause this because she was flat on a desk since purchased), and I noticed after moving the lap top himself at times, the fan stops momentarily , as if it has come loose, so touching the surface of the laptop internally. I also checked my temperature levels, and they seemed pretty normal, so I come to the conclusion that the fan is not broken but loose on its axis may be.
Also, to add, my sister has exactly the same lap top (with less features) and I made a comparison, and his fan works fine, without the noise.
I also have a guarantee, I was wondering if it would be repaired/replaced under that?
Hello
I apologize on the question with your new HP laptop.
HP warranty devices any defects with the laptop, contact your official HP Support local, let them know about the noise of the fan and also on your camparison as they should help identify them that there is a hardware fault.

Hello
I bought a HP Pavilion dv6t QE in December 2011. Just after the warranty expired in December 2012 its fan stopped working. Whenever I go mobile I get error this laptop fan does not work properly. I'm ready to get the fan/radiator changed, but I'm not able to find the spare on the HP website. Please let me know the number of replacement HP Fan & Heatsink heat for model below:

Product: QJ912AV
Model - dv6t - b 6, 00You are the very welcome.
OK, the specifications indicate that since you have AMD and Intel switchable graphics, you must have an Intel processor in your machine. The tool shows 1 GB (1024 MB) of video memory for discreet video of AMD HD 6490 M
Based on the specifications of your screenshot, it's the Fan/Heatsink combo that you need.
Only for model computers with an Intel processor and a graphics subsystem with 1024 MB memory discrete HP Part # 665308-001

HP Pavilion dv6-3127dx air/fan of traffic management
I have been using this labtop for awhile now and it never occurred to me until he grew up with my friends. the direction of the fans is supposed to be blowing air through the bottom of the laptop? (the air coming out is cool/cold)
all my other friends have their fans blowing air in the laptop in the bottom, and then hot air comes out the sides
Makes no difference atmospheric way is in circulation, as long as the air moves through the laptop. Some draw air through wind and blow by fan. Others draw air through fan and evacuate via events.

Pavilion dv6 - how to clean the fan
HP Pavilion dv6-7029wm
He did two years since I bought the laptop, and I finally realized that I have to open the computer to clean the fan properly. However, my laptop doesn't have access to the cooling fan Panel - so I tried to take it apart with the help of the manual.
However, the procedure necessary to reach the fan itself is very long and complicated, as seen here:
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03582006.PDF
Is there another way easier to reach the fan? I have to go through this everytime I want to clean the fan?
Also, I am stuck at the part where the keyboard should be removed. The keyboard is supposed to be difficult to remove? Because when I try to remove it, it seems as if she can bend and break.
I wish I could post pictures...
Hello:
I never take a laptop apart to clean the fan.
Here's what I do...
Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.
Find a thin object such as a straight pin in place through the air intake fan and make sure it happens between two of the fan blades to avoid the fan turns.
Get one of these cans of compressed air to dust and spray it in the fan intake and exhaust fan a few times, I look for dust to move on the vents.
When I see more dust blowing, I consider the work completed.
Reconnect the battery and a/c adapter.

My laptop HP Pavilion dv6 shutsdown to avoid overheating. My OS is windows 7 (64-bit). I cleaned the vents and cooling fan, but I continue to have problems with closing to avoid overheating.

Hello
I bought my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop 2011 as it starts a is overheating, freezing windows with noisy fan sound etc... but now, on information in BIOS boot indicating that the CPU fan has stopped working so immediately, I checked that I couldn't hear any noise from fan and no symptoms as fan works so I disassembled my laptop and removed CPU cooler fan only. Simply with the help of the battery, I checked the CPU fan it is running perfectly alone. but it does not work with the laptop.
Please help me and guide what is the cause of this problem and how to solve this problem.

I understand that since you had the laptop he had an overheating problem with a loud fan noise that causes freeze it.
Recently, you have received the message that the CPU fan has stopped working and you couldn't hear the rotation of the fan to the top.
You have removed the fan and checked, but the fan works. It is possible that the connection was not safe in Notepad.
