HP pavilion dv6-6c01ej: HP pavilion dv6-6c01ej screen display does not

Hi, I have a HP pavilion dv6-6c01ej, and I want to use the on-screen display to see, for example when the volume when I turn upwards or downwards (also for changes in brightness and so..).

I looked in programs and features in Control Panel and I saw that I have the latest version of the driver (version 1.3.5).

I couldn't find the actual prgoram to the start menu (I don't even know if it exists).

I tried to download it again so I can try to uninstall and install, but the file is not found, using this link:

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55152.exe

From there:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-DV6-6c00-entertainment-notebook-PC-serie...

I don't know if it's the same for all driver pavilion dv6 pc.

Also, I tried downloding the HP MediaSmart for it, but the download failed for an unknown reason.

So, how can I enable this feature?

Hello:

See if this version works...

    Hi all

After you perform a clean installation of Windows Professional 8.1 on my Pavilion G6 1006sh I can't use my external Samsung monitor connected to the HDMI port.

The windows installation is well unrolled without all the problems of the operating system had builtin readers for all devices. So there is no unknown hardware in Device Manager there is no sound, wifi, LAN, etc. In regards to the video card, I see two different devices. There is a generic VGA in Windows and there is an AMD Radeon HD 7400 installed M. The AMD Catalyst software has been installed successfully. In the graphic properties of windows that I can choose from two different outputs video, one is the general Windows VGA is the Radeon. However, windows detects monitor connected only on VGA General (i.e. integrated laptop display) and nothing on the Radeon so I can't use my external monitor.

Of course, I tried to restart the laptop / monitor repeatedly, unplug / plug the HDMI cable but without success. When I plug the HDMI cable into the laptop the screen displays a message that it is connected, but there is no input signal. The HDMI port on monitor and works in the laptop I used the same setup with Windows 7 x 64 Professional without any problem. It is only the operating system that has changed.

I tried to remove the General VGA device to force using Radeon, but after restarting it that nothing posted on the screen, I saw nothing on built-in or external monitor so I had to restore a previously saved system configuration.

I tired to install the latest version of the graphics driver Radeon downloaded from the website of AMD, but crashed and restarted during the installation process of Windows.

Please help me with this question or make a statement that this version of Windows is not supported on this machine and I must therefore go back to the old system.

    Hi there @nzole

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I understand that you have installed Windows 8.1 on your system, but now you can not detect an external HDMI monitor. I'm happy to help you with this.

First of all, in response to your question, this model is not supported for windows 8.1. It was sold only in the versions that have been configured for Windows 7.  That would mean there is no drivers especially customized by HP for this model for Windows 8.1.  It is possible that you could find a suitable drive for a model that Windows 8.1 which can be strong support enough in terms of hardware, that his driver might work, but there is no guarantee.

Here is the support page for your model: HP Pavilion g6-1006sh Notebook PC

Do you still have the recovery partitions, or you did a set of recovery discs, before installing Windows 8.1?

  • My hp pavilion elite hpe-204f video does not work

My hp pavilion elite hpe-204f video does not work so I replaced it with another video card that worked. After installing the card and start the system I saw the video on my monitor. Great! I need to replace my video card. No problem.

Afer by purchasing and installing a new video card, I have no video. I put a new one in another computer. This works. I put the video card which worked yesterday... that did not work.

Then, I put the original video card that I thought that did not work on another computer and Yes... it worked.

Should I assume that I have a bad graphical location on the motherboard? If so, short of buying the same motherboard is there anything else I can do?

Thank you very much for the research.

    Hello

The integrated video processor still works when the video card is removed?  If Yes, then try this memory bootable Diagnostics CD. Download memtest86 iso file and burn the disk using Imgburn.

If the above is successful, then re - install the map graphic and clear the CMOS.

    Another thing to try:

    A good cable video know.

    A known good monitor.

Original title: undetected sd eject not

I have a HP Pavilion notebook. My system does not detect my sd card and I can't eject. Help?

From my understanding, most laptops allow you to simply remove the SD card back.  Others have a simple spring mechanism that requires you to press the memory card slightly until you hear a "click", similar to a click on a retractable pen, which must eject the card.

    Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your question on the Forum of Support HP

It seems that you are not able to turn on the laptop and tried to solve the problem

Please perform steps listed to find out if it is a hardware or software problem below:

    1. remove all cables and devices, disconnect them and try to turn on the device

    2. check the LED light situation and ensure the action of the spring button / stop is normal

3 Exchange with a well known power cord and the AC adapter

4 Pack no adapters are available, check if the power adaptor is slightly warm

Note: This will give us an indication that the power adapter could be good

    5. do you know if the laptop was in battery or power adapter when you used the last time

Note: Make sure that there is no spill of liquid or cutting

    6. check if the Port of the AC adaptor is loose/broken

Note: If the laptop is not on even with a power adapter well known, this confirms the hardware failure with the system board or power DC Circuit

  • Pavilion dv6-3080si: HP Simplepass does not display a logon to the internet connection screen

I use the Pavilion dv6-3080si. After a clean install of WIN 10 pro I installed HP fingerprint reader and the HP Digital Persona of HP simplerpass driver & software for my portable computer product number (HP identified automatically the product). There is no problem to connect my laptop. However, when I try to configure the password for Web sites, such as for example my Bank, it does not work. There is a small icon that appears to scan fingerprints, and he said "It is not a logon screen" though I am to the logon screen.

Some recommendations published by members of Forums Support HP, I installed the version of HP 4.5.228.0 and worm 6.0.10.276 Simplepass fingerprint reader and even once, I found myself with the same problem. No idea why it doesn't work? Is there a problem with Win 10 and IE 11?

Thanks for you help. However, I installed Authentec simplepas worm. 8.01.11 sp 66143 and fimgerprint player ver 4.5.228.0 MS 66110. Everything works perfectly now.

  • Pavilion DV6 6c14nr: Wireless button does not work

Has taken the plung and improved my DV6 Win10 laptop to see how it works.  Had to do a clean install, because no upgrade would not work.

After installation, the wireless button does not work.  LED stays red all the time, and when I push it, it activates / deactivates the airplane mode.

Check the support site HP for this PC, downloaded and installed the driver wireless Win8 button (sp59835) and it does not work. Button LED stays red.

Searched these forums and found another driver (sp64043) from the button for Win10 wireless driver and installed it.  Still does not work.

    Information on equipment is: ACPI\HPQ6001\2 & daba3ff & 0

The details for the wireless button said drivers this devide requires additional installation

Unless I can get the wireless button to work, I'll be forced to go back to Win7.

    Help, please.

UPDATED - so others find this post know what works!

    Restored image backup Win7.

Disconnected the LAN cable and activated the wireless button.

Win7 removed and properly installed Win10.

    Wireless button works NOW!

So basically, if the wireless is turned off before the Win10 install, it remains disabled and then nothing will allow it.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook (laptop) plugged, G6 does not support.

    Hello

I bought a laptop HP Pavilion G6 just a couple of months, and I had this problem since the beginning. I looked at some other forums and it seems that many people have had the same problem with the laptop is plugged in, but does not support.

This problem is really frustrating, as the laptop is connected to the power source and in the laptop, but half the time it is not yet registered as being connected. The battery is discharged. Once or twice the battery completely exhausted (while it's plugged in) and then was charged 100% next time, it was shot on(???!!!).

Could you tell me if there is some sort of programming or software failure, or if it could be a hardware failure. I have run the checker battery several times and each time he found no problems with it. As the laptop sometimes acknowledges that it is indeed connected (but does not load) personally, I think that it is not a problem with the AC adapter.

    PLEASE HELP ME!

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 button walk / stop does not

Hi, I recently had my Hp Pavilion dv7-1245dx Entertainment Notebook (to the best of my knowledge bc, I can't look it up in my product number) fixed some viruses and malware that caused random stops and freezes. My laptop worked fine after that the fix so I installed the latest updates to better protect my laptop but when I left and my laptop came into fashion 'sleep' it would not respond and the screen was black. I stopped using the power button and it turned back. The computer does not start and the flash caps lock button three times which means a problem of memory, according to HP support, that happened before I got my laptop fixed. Later, I unplugged the AC adapter and moved my laptop but when I tried to put it on the power button does not respond and I can't do anything with my laptop. Both recommended options for the issue of cap locks and the power button is to go inside my laptop and tinkering with the battery and the memory module. I'm very hesitant to do so for fear of further harm to my laptop. I am on Windows 7 and advice on what I should do would be greatly appreciated. (will give you more information if necessary)

    With respect,

    ACertainGuy

Your notebokdoes have removable covers for the module of memory in the bottom of the laptop. It's just as shown in the document I linked.

You will need to buy a Jewelers screwdriver set.  A jewellers Phillips scredriver is necessary.

Here is a link to a documentthat explains the flashing LED error codes and what they mean.

The only other option, if you do not have enough confidence to do it yourself, is to take your laptop in a shop that will do it for you.

    Best regards
