  • Re: Satellite L500-19 X - screen keeps going black

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 - 19 X and continues to go to the black screen.

When you start the computer it flashes briefly until start / Boot screen properly before going black right now. Sometimes, the image is displayed correctly for 3 or 4 minutes before also black.

If you hold down / tilt the screen under a strong light you can see a preview of the ghost of what should be displayed and if you connect an external monitor to the external monitor works fine and you can see a black ghost of what is on the external monitor on the laptop screen.

I tried to reinstall the drivers, but it had no effect.

Do you think I should replace the screen inverter Board or just reconnect the connectors screen?

Thank you very much for your advice.

    Hello

First to solve this problem, you must disassemble the laptop.
I put t know exactly the procedure step by step for the L500 series but this procedure isn't very easy disassembly and you could damage other parts.

    Back to the question.
It seems that the graphics card is OK and the problem is with lighting.
Satellite L500 was equipped with a FL inverter Board and LCD joint (no backlight).
The FL inverter controls the level of backlight screen s and I think that in your case, this part is defective.
To resolve this problem, he needed to remove and replace the s FL inverter.

    HI @Ayushi_kh

    Thank you for your response.

Here is a link to the HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC. Please see Chapter 4 for removal and replacement.

When I was browsing through the maintenance and service guide, I noticed you have switchable graphics.

That being said, I suggest you do a recovery in factory.  This will reinstall the drivers of graphics cards correctly and I hope to solve this problem.

Performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

During the recovery, there is an option to backup your personal data if you do not have a recently I'd do one now to avoid any data loss.

Restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 7)

If for any reason any recovery did not resolve the issue please provides your exact model of DV6.

How can I find my model number or product number?

    Good luck!

    Hello Acer community

I experienced a few problems recently with my Acer Aspire V5, I made a return to factory settings (full erase).

I came home today and maintaining the current black screen, even if the computer is not asleep.  I move the mouse and I see the office, but then after less than a second, it goes black again.

There is no applied screensaver.  It's probably user error, but someone else knows this before and if so, how can I fix without having to go to the repair shop.

    Thanks in advance

Just in case someone else has the same problem, a few reboots and an update seem to have solved the problem.

  • Pavilion dv6-1215sa screen

The screen of my HP Pavilion Entertainment PC (Pavilion dv6-1215sa) is cracked. Wanted to order, but I was told of the screen is of two types. Please how to know the type of screen or reference number? Thank you.

By far, the best way is to simply go ahead and open the housing of the display, remove the existing screen and look at the back of the part number. You will have to remove, in any case. Order the replacement based on the screen manufacturer part number, not the number of the mobile phone model and you will expand your choices and probably find a better price on the replacement.

  • The program monitor randomly goes black

First Pro CC uses for months and no problem.  All of a sudden, the program monitor goes black, then back over video transitions between clips, then goes black again.

I have a HP workstation, with a processor of xenon 12-core, 32 GB RAM, 9 TB of disk storage hard (the first 1 TB flash), blazing fast dedicated with a ton of video memory video card.  It's worked wonders for 12 months and with all the other products Adobe (Photoshop, Lightroom) and hundreds of other programs.  I have NOT changed any video card or video processing settings.   I don't have a hardware problem - it is a problem with Adobe first Pro CC.

I spent the maximum money on the hardware and the software more later/better (even though I hate paying a subscription for software).  And now this...   Moreover, I understand now and still not a bug, but when the screen goes black in a video software - well, it's like losing your direction while on the highway - it's sort of IMPORTANT - wouldn't you say Adobe?

I'll scream at Adobe on Monday, but have a serious work that must be done this weekend.

Is there any help that works?

You use the latest versions (which numbers?) of Adobe CC?

    Try resetting the workspace.

Try to update or restore your video driver.

Try to remove the media cache files.

    Try resetting preferences.

  • Pavilion dv6-4024tx: display random crashing after upgrade to Windows 10 (back to Windows 7)

    Hey all,.

I used to own a computer laptop dv6-4024tx Pavilion which I gave to my father to use after you have bought a new laptop for my part. It was in pretty good condition when I gave it to him, with the only problem being that she would get very hot unless a cooling pad was used (which I it comes with). At the time, it was running Windows 7 Home Premium with no problems and everything was fine. However, it might be interesting to note that while I had it I had problems with random blue screens while I was with the latest graphics drivers, so I drove back to the drivers supplied on the support page for this laptop. After I "upgraded" to Windows 10 (do not perform a clean install) for my dad, the laptop would randomly crash and display something like the photo that I have attached, before going empty and show again several times. Believing that it would be a problem with the GPU, I went and Display Driver Uninstaller to remove completely all AMD drivers and software, downloaded the latest driver on the AMD website and installed. It seemed to temporarily solve the problem, but as it's always within 30 days of installation, I offered to go back to Windows 7, but my father wanted to leave it and see how it happened. Oddly enough, for the next month, it never reported the laptop crashing again and the time period for return finally expired. The problem of course back then I tried the same solution from before but the noise continued. I tried to disable the GPU completely from the Device Manager, so that the laptop was running with Microsoft Basic display adapter. He seems to have stopped the fracas, but less than a week my father told me that he had crashed again.  I tried to restore the laptop to a system image I had done years ago, but I learned that you cannot restore an image to a different version of Windows System. Finally, as a last resort I backed everything up and made a real clean install of Windows 10, and the problem has not yet disappear.

My goal now is to return the Windows 7 laptop somehow. I can mount a virtual image of the system hard drive and access all the recovery files provided by HP, specifically the Recovery Manager. From there, I can do a recovery USB or DVD (s) we hope to restore the laptop to all conditions of factory (so theoretically return to Windows 7). I will try this, but I need a flash player more than 20 GB or several blank DVDs I don't currently. In addition, Recovery Manager says that this medium can never be created once, so it save me time and money (not to mention my last lifeline) if someone could please share their views on the question of whether this method would be successful or not. I know in case it doesn't work, there is always the question of registration of the OS by Microsoft, but I can cross that bridge when I get to it.

Sorry for the essay I just wrote, but this has been a problem for too long, and I am at a loss to know what to do now (apart from the purchase of another computer). If there are any questions I'll be happy to answer, and I hope we can get this issue is resolved. See you soon.

If you follow this step 3.

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/675-system-image-recovery.html

You will need to select "format and repartition disks" as windows 10 will have changed partitions.

  • Screen keeps going black on Satellite C series

This is my second toshiba, first of all it has been with me for years.
I have a new a satellite now c series but every now and again the screen goes all black.
I found the only way to recover from this is to turn off and wait 60 seconds before returning.

I can't find anything in common between the situations when this happens.
I googled the problem and there seems to be a problem connecting to the screen on some models.
Is it my problem or is it something else?

Could you provide some essential information first?
It would be useful to know what model of laptop and what system you have exactly.

Have you checked the laptop for external monitor?
If this isn't it. It would be interesting to know if something would be visible on 2nd screen while the internal screen is black.

    Hi Zachary,.

This may be a problem with your display drivers.

What is the brand and model of the PC?
