After the windows welcome screen just goes black?

After that I entered the password for my laptop, it remains on the Welcome screen. After some time (sometimes) it will move past and I just black. The mouse still works and the cursor can move. No page loads later. I use Windows 8 and this happened for some time. Sometimes this will be repeated but other times it works just as usual. Any suggestions? Please help as soon as POSSIBLE.

Hi Zachary,.

This may be a problem with your display drivers.

What is the brand and model of the PC?

As you face this problem at random and since you are able to start the office, I suggest you follow these methods and check if it helps.
Method 1:
Updates driver may be available through Windows Update.

To check the updates of the driver,

(a) at the start screen, type Windows Update.

(b) click and tap settings on the right side of the screen, then select install optional updates in the results on the left.

(c) when the Windows Update Control Panel opens, click on Check for Updates on the top left corner to receive a new list of updates.

Method 2:

If no updated drivers are available through Windows Update, see the website of your video card manufacturer to see if they have updated drivers available.
Install the driver yourself

Let us know if it helps. If the problem persists, we will be happy to help you.

  • SOLUTION EXPLORER. EXE must always run at the start of the TASK MANAGER after the LOGIN/WELCOME screen.

Trying to restore the empty desktop icons by the recommendations, I have a white screen with a pointer after login and WELCOME screen.  CTRL-SHIFT-ESC gives me the TASK MANAGER. and I returned 'explorer.exe' I then the full desktop with white icons.  I need to do this every time I have start or restart the PC. I checked the regedit and the only entry to WINLOG, SHELL is "Explorer.exe" any ideas about a problem?  Thank you!

    Hi Eric1029,

You can check if the following registry entries are correct.

    a. open the start menu, in the search bar type regedit, and then press ENTER.

    b. navigate to the following location and check the entries for "Shell" and "Userinit" on the right pane:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

    "Shell" ="Explorer.exe" (REG_SZ)

    'Userinit"="C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe '.

    c. also check if you have the correct permission for this registry key (winlogon)

    d. right-click and select permission. Make sure that at least with that you have group administrators, system and installer of confidence with full control and users group read permission.

    e. check if you are able to launch explorer.exe in the window running in the Task Manager.

Important: The above method contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, follow the steps from the link below:

  • Inspiron 9300 screen turns off after the Windows Logo screen

Inspiron 9300 my wife became severely infected.  I thought I had some weird things start popping up of the problem decided to wipe the hard drive and start over.  Unfortunately, I don't have to restore disks when I bought the computer.  I install windows xp pro service pack 2 full retail version.

Installation was not a problem until I installed the driver ATI Mobility x 300.  I followed directions for installation from the website, do the installation of xp followed of the dell system software update followed of chipset followed video driver.  After that whenever I put on, the screen turns off after the Windows Logo.  The computer is still running and if I plug an external monitor everythng is fine.

I tried all the troubleshooting tips I've seen in this forum.  I did a full install twice. made of safety boots (all right), started in VGA mode (works fine), I ran diagnostics from fn on startup, including express, extended and video tests and they pass all the controls.  I'm sure it's a software problem, but have been unable to solve.  I've updated the ATI bios although when I run it says already installed and done one installs x 300 driver on 6 ttimes own.

I know it must be something simple that I'm missing. My system is the Inspiron 9300 with 2 GB of ram and the mobility x 300 card.  Any help would be appreciated.

    > Where can I get some old drivers for the ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600, I can install without starting windows?

Please don t get me wrong, but I think you're on the wrong track.
(Graphics card, LAN, etc.) device drivers must be installed in the currently running system (i.e: Windows OS, etc.)

I m sure; pilot isn t the problem if nothing is visible on the screen.

First of all, I would recommend you to connect the laptop to an external monitor/screen just to see if something would be visible on the screen 2.

But just a question: have you tried to start Notepad using a boot disk (windows installation disc, the disc recovery Toshiba or similar?).
Maybe the Windows system is confusing upward and therefore, you are not able to start the system? In my opinion, you should test this option.

  • How to customize the windows welcome screen 7?

Is it possible to change the standard background image that appears when the Welcome screen is displayed after the start? If this standard image of windows 7 may be changed, please provide instructions not to not showing how it can be done.

    Thank you.

Step 1: Open the Windows Start menu and type regedit in the search bar.

Step 3: Search for OEMBackground, which should be in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background. If the key does not exist, add a new DWORD value named OEMBackground.

Step 4: double-click the OEMBackgroundentry and change the value from 0 to 1.

Step 5: Open Windows Explorer and go to the following path: %windir%\system32\oobe.

Step 6: Create a new folder named infoand open it. (It may be already created)

Step 7: Create a new folder in info called backgrounds. (It is usually present.)

Step 8: Rename your wallpaper desired as backgroundDefault.jpg and place it in the bottom of the folder (images must be less than 245 KB).

Note: the first four steps are not usually required. At least on my PC, only the last four steps are needed.

  • Failed to start after the windows logo screen, please help.

Original title: STARTUP DO NOT FULLY

Hi, I run windows XP Home Edition on my laptop, when I switch it on it boots until the windows logo and no more, can anyone help please.

I tried F11 to safemode etc but is still no more than the windows logo.

You must be repeatedly tapping / pressing the F8 key before Windows starts to load to access the Advanced Boot Options menu to see the Safe Mode options :)  Keep and tapped F8 until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu.

If you miss the niche F8 and XP starts to load, you missed it, and you have to start over.

  • Black screen after the Windows Logo screen

All of a sudden just put off the computer. I keep trying to start it up, but just then it gets to a black screen and does nothing. I managed to get in Mode safe like twice, but when I try to access safe mode again, it gets stuck loading. What can I do to save my laptop OR at least save my data?

    Hello

It will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have. I had the same problem and I connected the HARD drive to the second workbook as external HARD drive. on this way, I was able to copy all the important data.

  • PC keeps restarting after the Windows startup screen

I recently bought a refurbished HP compaq 6005 microtour office format. The computer came with a blank hard drive with no OS loaded on this subject. Before this purchase, I owned a laptop with a Samsung EVO 850 250 GB SSD inside which has Windows 7 installed and worked fine until the motherboard went bad on it. I removed the SSD that laptop and installed in the new office refurbished. The computer starts up and reaches the HP invent display shows options key function and says "press any key to Option ROM Messages." and then after a few seconds goes to "starting Windows" screen and after a few seconds it goes back to the same HP invent screen.

    I tried the things:

The hard drive is detected by a name in BIOS

Made sure boot order has been on hard drive, first

Tried to start Windows in Mode safe mode, last known good configuration and disable automatic restart in the event of system failure

When I disabled automatic restart in the event of system failure I got a blue screen that says, "a problem has been detected and windows was forced to need down to avoid any damage to your computer...". ""Search for viruses on your computer. " Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to ensure that it is properly configured and completed. ... "CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Hello David,.

According to your description, I realize you are trying to install a Portable SSD hard drive in a desktop computer that has Windows 7 installed on it.

First of all I would say you do not to do since both hard drives have different specifications, and this can adversely affect your computer. I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of your computer before this change of material.

On Windows, it is not recommended to mix computers with different operating system installed on a hard drive specifications. I would say to reinstall the full operating system such that two computers use different Hardware.

Hope this information helps. If you need more assistance or information on this question, reply to this post. I'll be happy to help you.

    Windows xp home edition

    Dell inspiron 1501

    1. computer does not start after the Windows XP logo window
2 works well in safe mode, even connect to the external monitor
    3. I reinstalled xp many times, problem stil exist.

    All the answers?

    Hi dhanushm,

    1. What happens after the Windows logo screen?
    2. You receive an error message?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?
    4. Have you performed an installation clean Windows XP and even after that this problem exists?

    Method 1

As the computer starts up fine in safe mode there is a possibility that some third-party programs installed on the computer is the origin of the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.
