  I'm looking into purchasing to a Pavilion DV7-4069WM, and I was looking at the type of RAM it uses. I used to work for HP, so I am very familiar with HP PartSurfer (via http://partsurfer.hp.com ). I have however questions locate this laptop out there to find the related parts. I tried to get two using search and hierarchy, and I found the part number for the machine using the hierarchy but no result when you click it.

  I also tried the parts through http://h20141.www2.hp.com/hpparts/ store, where once more no results don't come to try to search for the product (tried by product name and product number).

  Does anyone know if there is another way to find which parts are used for the machine in question? Thanks in advance.

  The easiest way is to do a search of RAM upgrade.

  If I know that you were really interested, perhaps we can expand the search to find it at a lower price, but I expect it to be much less than maybe $175 it is a motherboard upscale a few years and get harder to find new.

  It is really not an option. The video is part of the motherboard, welded, so there is nothing to go out and trade for something else. You might be able to find a motherboard with slightly better graphics, but it would still be old and weak by today's standards.

• Pavilion DV7-1451nr: Wireless button stays amber

  My pavilion dv7-1451nr turns wireless keyboard blue when I have to reset the motherboard by removing the battery and press the power button / stop seconds, after which I plug in charger to him while leaving the battery and press the power button / stop.   I have HP Pavilion dv7-6b20em laptop, and recently during the startup process, I got the msg that my FAN will not function properly. I noticed that this laptop has started having heating problems, so I think that it s time to replace the CPU fan. Now, it is impossible to order HP directly, and yes I can order on ebay or similar on line store but I don't want to order some CPU FAN and disassemble the laptop to discover that I ordered the wrong replacement part. I found more cold with 'similar' serial numbers, but that will be suitable for me.

  Hi all

  I have a hp Pavilion dv7-6b55dx hard drive failed.  Fairly easy to install a new hard drive, but its been a bit more difficult to find any kind of information recovery disk.  The laptop has a hand, and we only had a very short time. Ever created of my own restore disks (I know, I know).  It used Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

  I can't find anything on the HP site regarding recovery assistance, its seems that my camera is no longer supported.  I spoke with Microsoft, although the Windows product key is always on the computuer itself, they said I have to buy a new operating system on their part.  And then even after that, I guess I would have to update the other pilot material as well and may require some sort of recovery disk?  I've been on the HP site, it doesn't seem to be another option to pay to speak with someone, and at this point, I'm afraid that I would pay to hear that there nothing more they can do.

  If you can't tell from my post, I'm not the most computer-savvy person.  I searched online for ideas and found no too.  Most other suggestions are a few years now and do not seem to apply more.  Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
