HP Pavilion dv7 will not start Windows 7

I need assistance or advice from those who have more experience or a more extensive knowledge in this area. I'm working on an HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook pc. Product # is LW181UA #ABA. It has a CPU of 2 gig Hz Intel i7, 8 GB of memory (2 4 gig mem modules), a Hitachi 750 gigbyte HD. He ran and passed the tests of memory, burn in tests, tests of hard drive and startup tests that are run by pressing F2 during power on. When you arrive at the start of the operating system screen. It has Windows 7 64-bit version of the operating system. Then he begins to show the bar graph to slip at the bottom of the screen shows the percent of loading hangs and emits a constant beeeping. If I try to go for repair options or selections of recovery, it does the same thing. For me, I don't see how I can have a hardware problem because it seems to pass memory, disk and start diagnosis? The only thing the owner said to me was that they had spilled a glass of water or soda on the laptop. I expected the pc must be dead or have a power supply problem but not the case. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated because I don't know where to go from here. Also, I use an external keyboard.

Thank you

I see that it could be material, because the computer was not yours, try a collection:

  • Pavilion dv7 will not start

    Hello

so, my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop computer 1003eo won't start. When I turn on it, all the light light up and I hear the usual fan noise but the screen remains black.

I removed the charger and the battery and press the power one button couple of times (and held it for about 30 seconds). Unfortunately, which did not help.

I also tried replacing the RAM modules, but I am always greeted by the same black screen.

Is there anything else that I could do or should I just accept the fact that the phone is dead?

I think that you blew your laptop Cpu or Gpu.

    Because there is no screen.

You can try to remove the battery and press the power button 10 times.

Then leave it for an hour.

    Have you still warranty?

    Drunks.

Maybe it depends on exactly why the drive has failed and went to where he is.

You may be able to find an adapter that plugs into the drive hard sata and a USB port on your laptop. Perhaps TigerDirect.com or Ebay? Once you have the new installed hard drive and operating system in place, you can plug it in and try to access the drive through Windows Explorer.

If this does not work, and depending on how much you need the files, you can download something like Hiren Boot CD that has a few tools in it that can allow you to access the data, but which may require considerable time and effort to understand and use the tools correctly.

    Hi Juliet,

Thanks for asking the question in the Microsoft Community forum.

From your description, I understand that after Windows Update, you can not load Windows.

To better understand the question, please answer the following questions:

    1. What is the version of the Windows operating system that is installed on your computer?

    Reference: http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/help/which-version-of-the-windows-operating-system-am-i-running

    3. what application or anti-virus security suite is installed on your computer?

    4. you remember after installation of update, you are facing this problem?

Remove any external device connected to the computer without keyboard and mouse and then perform the methods.

If you are using Windows 7 and Windows Vista, follow the mentioned methods:

    Method 1:

If the computer does not start in safe mode, perform the last known good Configuration.

  • Pavilion g4 will not start

I have a g4 Pavilion that will not pass the main logo at the beginning. I did a quick test of system and get software disk errors hard drive dst short. do you have a large trial and it also stops to with ¨type:system... result: failed¨ another test read ¨type: hard drive... result: failed¨ can I do to make it back or I get a new one, this laptop is not even a year old.  She has windows 8. I´d appreciate any help. Thank you.

The hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Because the laptop is less than a year, you should still be under warranty. Contact HP support in your country /region and counts test results. Usually, they will send a new hard disk that is easily replaceable. If you have not created your recovery media you will need too... Worldwide contact information can be found here >Contact HP

  • Pavilion a6327uk will not start. Light output at the rear is enabled, all the work of 3 fans, but does not start.

I have a Pavillion equipped a6327uk for vista 32 bit. I had similar problems before and remove all cables, hold the button to boot without the power connected, reconnect the and then turn on solves the problem. I suffered a blue screen, where I was told the computer was stop and spills of memory. Then I rebooted the computer froze and since then it will not start. I led on the power supply/process button cable about 30 times more than three days without success. The computer does not go to the HP logo screen, it just stops. Can anyone help with further action please.

It could be almost anything that prevents your computer from starting to start to eliminate things.  If the computer under warranty?  If this is not the case, unplug everything including the power cord from your computer. Unplug the keyboard, monitor, mouse, readers flash and all other connected outside of the machine. Open the unit and unplug all the devices connected to the power supply except the motherboard.  Disconnect the hard drive cable and power supply data connection, disconnect the connection cable and power supply of the CD/DVD data, disconnect any drive card reader or floppy drive.  Therefore remains connected to the power supply should be taking 20/24 pin to the motherboard and 4 or 8 pin 12V for the cpu power cable.  Remove all cards that may be in the slots, as the video card, modem, network card (if they are not built in to edge of devices.) Just the cards that can be inserted into the slots.  Make sure all items are away from the computer and cannot cause a short circuit when you use power. Look at the motherboard and see if the capacitors were bulged or rounded top and maybe even a brown substance leaking from the top.  Check the video card as well for the same and a blocked fan who may have been not turn.  Test the power supply with a volt/ohm meter if you have one. If this is not the case, turn on the power and see if the fans are running and you get beeps.  If this isn't the case, hold the power button for about 5 seconds until the machine turns off.  Try only a chunk of memory at a time and in each of the slots.  If it starts to act normally, it is probably food.  If the sounds seem normal, unplug the power cable and install one at a time from the video card and connect the monitor to it. Plug the power cable from back in and start the machine.  If you have a video, keep disconnect power, adding another device such as the keyboard and the mouse until you arrive finally to your hard drive.  Do your last hard drive because there all your important data on it and you do not want to expose to all this test.

  • HP Pavilion a6040a will not start

    Hi guys,.

My Pavilion a6040a desktop running Vista home, does not start. All I get is a blank screen and a beep code (1 short, 1 long, pause, repeating endlessly). I can't run any recovery CD and I got up to the part where I have to take part in the troubleshooting guides (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107). However, I do not trust myself to remove, and will send a Tech if there is anything else I can do to solve the problem.

What happened in head upward to the accident:

Was functioning normally, do not try anything too demanding (just updated the client Java but I don't think that it would be the cause?)

Had a BSOD, restarted in safe mode, can't find the cause so restarted in normal mode to connect to the net.

An another BSOD a few hours later, restarted directly in the system recovery to run a diagnostic.

During the tests, the screen locked completely, and I had to force a shutdown.

Following this accident, the computer was unable to restart (see above).

Blue screens came too fast for me to read, and the error code that came after the first BSOD has been saved on the hard disk, which I cannot now access. If there is any other information that might help, I will try and provide them, keeping in mind, I can't have the system running at all to check the news!

Any help is very appreciated. My partner has an assignment for her master's degree due to a week and really needs the computer in place and running

    Thank you!

Unplug the computer and open the computer and remove and reinstall the memory. It is as simple as simple can get.

    Simple directions:

    Open the case.

    Installation of memory.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/bph03886

Even if you have the open computer take care of blowing dust around the CPU. Just look at the pictures in the link I sent. It could be that a fan does not spin also. Before you replace the cover, Plug and turn to see if fans turn.

  • HP pavilion a6530f will not start

I've had my hp pavilion a650f for a while now, but it froze and now it does not start at the top. It does not display anything on the screen [Yes monitor works] and does not beep. I have tried to remove all the ram, using a chip work in each different slot, then try a slot at a time. I also thought that my cpu radiator became very hot to be only for a minute or two. I watched very closly at my motherboard and saw not a single ceiling was blown. Also when I take all my ram and put again, it still is not a beep. Everything is always origanel, but on the cpu, try to fix it, I put a new thermal is dedicated to the but nothing happened, the cpu still very hot. If you have any suggestions, please tell me, I am not willing to get a new motherboard, the old one would be repair. Finally, I took the hard drive to use on this computer, so I wonder if that could affect it. I also removed all pci cards and reinstalled the and even tried to install a pcie card that BT was eventually released because nothing happened.

    Hello mwoj00

If everything turns on but nothing never appears on the screen, nor is there a beep? If so, it seems that maybe it's a CPU, motherboard or power supply problem.
    1. If the computer can not POST (which should return a beep) the processor might not work to run the self-test instructions. The heat you describe could be due to a short circuit in the CPU or receiving too much blood since you said you already tried to replace the thermal paste.
    2. the motherboard contains the processor and is interfaced with many components. So if there is a problem with the BIOS or a circuit, it can cause problems like this to happen.
    3. If the power supply is none working them properly, it can send too much or too little voltage to power everything correctly. Too much tension can on components of heat and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, while too little energy will prevent all components currently on/off.

Order, I put it in what seems to be the most likely culprits. Have you tried to clear the BIOS settings? The link on the parchment of the previous sentence to the section 'clear the BIOS settings '. Also when you say that the monitor worked, have you tried it on another computer?

  • RUN the object that will not start Windows on-screen keyboard

I use Lookout 6.5 on Windows 7 Professional. I use a button to fire a sequencer whose output starts a RUN object with a command line of the 'c:\Windows\system32\osk.exe '. Executes the RUN object, but I get a window that says "could not start on-screen keyboard. The window has only 'OK' as an option - click on OK and the window disappears. I tried the same object RUN notepad.exe with wordpad.exe, and they work very well.

    Anyone see what I'm missing?

    Thanks for your reply, Ryan.

I have now found a solution – but first a few puzzles. I can use the Lookout RUN object successfully to start other executable files in the Windows\system32 folder - but not the osk. I can start the osk in other ways (shortcut, double-clicking the .exe from a .bat file).

I copied the osk.exe to another folder on the hard drive and can now begin with the Lookout RUN object. I don't know why this works differently - but it does. Thank you.

    Hello

As I understood the message: the HDD doesn't appear when you try to install the system. Right?
HARD drive is listed in the BIOS?
It should appear on the first page of the BIOS, providing details on the size of the HARD drive and name (part number)

If this isn't the case, the HARD drive may be defective and that's why the system cannot be started.
