HP Pavilion dv9700

My laptop lost the cd/dvd drivers. I checked the bios and it showed no cd/dvd. Where can I get updated drivers since for download in the bios and windows? The DVD makes a noise when a disc is inserted, but all media players don't say no disc is loaded.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello

The bios should recognize the new disk immediately, and windows will automatically load the necessary drivers.

Kind regards

  • Pavilion dv9700: laptop does not turn on but lights flash

I have a Pavilion DV9700, service tag dv9925r. When I turn on the power, the power led and the led on top flash, I can hear the fan and drive spinning, but the screen stays black and after one or two seconds the lights out, but then continue to Flash on then close. When, I hear the fan running.

    What I've tried;

Hung still no display on an external monitor

Removed and reinstall the memory and hard drive, not good.

Tried the hard reset, not good.

I put another hard drive just to see if the disc was not, but no difference.

There is no audible beeps at all. It does not seem to go through the checkpoint.

  • Coprocessor Pavilion dv9700 w / win 7

I have a HP Pavilion dv9700, who has 32-bit windows 7 is installed. When buying this laptop came pre-installed with 32-bit windows Vista.I installed windows 7 more early this year.

Everything was working fine until last week when I noticed that the laptop was not preforming as it was too much and that it would be closed periodically. When I took a peek in the Device Manager, I noticed that the coprocessor has the yellow triangle.

I went and searched many forums, that would lead me to a update/download NVIDIA any or a HP sp reinstall. All the these are however, for Windows Vista because it is what my laptop came installed with. So when I search my lapop model, all patches are for vista and are not compatible.

Can someone tell me please in the right direction to solve this problem for Windows 7? Your help is greatly appreciated!

I recently had to do a clean windows 7 install on this computer and lost all preinstalled

the device appears as base peripheral missing driver when I click on devices in the control panel.

the system was taken under vista years ago.

How can I get this driver. Windows cannot find anywhere.

How can I get the original software that was loaded in the back of the computer. I never had the installation discs for the programs of pre intalled.,

    Thank you

    Hello:

You need this driver for the base system device.

This package contains the driver for the Ricoh 5-in-1 card reader for laptops models and operating systems.

    File name: sp37809.exe

HP sells more recovery disc for this series of models... and they be for Windows Vista, W7.

The only available software that you can download is on the dv9700 support page.  The vista software should work on W7 excessively.

If you want all software original came with the laptop, you will need to see if you can still get a set of recovery disks Vista from a provider of 3rd party as the surgeons of the computer.

Install Vista using recovery disks, and then create an inplace move to W7.

NO, I don't want the caddy, I mean the slip which connects the SATA plugs weird connections inside the bays 1 and 2.

In addition, why in the world did you choose to use these connections owners, have you tried to set a new standard or something? Now, my co worker must wait for God knows how long it will take to get his laptop in working condition.  I'm so happy that I chose Custom build my personal computers.

I found this, seems to be the best price even if you don't need the Caddy

I messed up my Pavilion 9700 with somehow Windows 7 on both drives, and then I couldn't do anything.  I took out the two discs, purchased another, installed as primary, installed Windows 7 and it is fine now.  However, I would like to be in a position to one of the players as the secondary, but I'm afraid to put it in.  How to wipe it or reformat so I can use it?  Thanks for any help.

Don't forget that some 802.11n Intel modems use a configuration triple antenna as well. This means that the replacement of the modem (if Intel) requires a display of both replacement block.

An accurate answer requires better identification of your laptop.

Look at the label with barcode at the bottom of your laptop. After all, there, except the serial number.

  • Replacing hard drive on a HP Pavilion dv9700

I just ordered a replacement hd for data D: my wife by car for Christmas.  Looking at the online manual and the underside of the laptop, I see the two drive Bay covers.  My question is how can I find out what bay is the C: and D: drive?  Both drives in there at the moment are the same model and capacity so looking on the label of each of them will not help.

While browsing through 100 or so previous discussions on the replacement of the hd on the DV9700, I read something about a possible problem with a more capacious disk works does not in this unit. Maybe a BIOS update corrects this problem.  I ordered the same Seagate Momentus 7200 RPM 9.5 mm height SATA drive that is in it now, with the exception of the largest capacity.  The old is 120 GB.  The news is 750Go.  No one knows for sure whether this will or will not work in the secondary drive Bay?

The berries are labeled inside as I recall and repair shows which is the main and the secondary image. If all else fails remove one then the other and one that always starts with Windows is the main. Conventional wisdom has been that you cannot use a disk that is larger than 200 concerts in the high Bay, but we just had a post here explaining how the user got a 7200 RPM 500 GB drive to work in a dv9000 secondary Bay.

    Another dv9000 second hdd post

I'm sure that the primary Bay is that the door right stop against the door of memory.

  • HP Pavilion dv9700: display distortion of the HP Pavilion dv 9700.

No error message! Arrived at startup. @59 cycles running!

Yes models with Intel processors and nVidia video as your turn off not as frequently as AMD processors, but not immune to the question. There was a class action lawsuit and a reminder for similar models years and yours is known to suffer from the same issue. The video chip delaminates from the motherboard due to excessive heat and, initially you get just scrambled video then at some point it wil not start. You've got almost 8 years out of it which is like 100 years in the life of dog for a laptop. The motherboard can be repaired for maybe $60 if you are able to remove and ship just the tip to a professional "reballing" store that will use precision laser-guided equipment to paste the video chip properly on the motherboard and this difficulty will last 2 years maybe more.

There are also a few new laptops, awfully good.
