Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood! Your English is excellent, much better than my Italian

The size of card reader device should be 3.5 inches - I see only retail card in the card reader, but looking at HP spare parts 15-in-1 card reader they all seem to be 3.5 ". The specifications of your computer state that there are three-Bay 3,5 '' in the case of your computer:

  • HP Pavilion 180 t - size case by default/Original fan

    Hello.

I would like to know the size of the rear case fan in my HP Pavilion 180 t, which I haven't changed at all since it was purchased about 5 years ago.

I measured the size of it as being ~ 120mm diagonal and ~ 90mm of diameter approximately, but don't know exactly what is the correct measure to use and what size it is. I can't access now to measure a few weeks but would like to know the size as soon as possible in order to consider replacing it.

This size fan came as a default value on the inside?
This fan is connected by 3 or 4 pins?
The modular fan, i.e. is the attached cable permantently in the fan, or is it like a Sharkoon Silent Eagle where the fan has no permanent cable and you can easily join the existing cables in him.

    Thank you

    Hello @Jeronimoo,

I understand that you're looking to see what size the system cooling fan is installed in your PC desktop, HP Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t. Cooling system fan is part number 5188-3722 and can be easily ordered online. It's called real 3-pin HP 92 MM fan cases 5188-3722 system. In addition if that helps.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

    Hi there @LeoOfMars

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking to find out if a video card is compatible with your information system. I'm happy to help you with that.

The main reasons to be sure of are normally feeding you, special (to THE) cable power supply for the graphics card, on the motherboard compatible expansion slot, the drivers for your operating system, another thing to know is the physical size of the map, for moments of cases.

Looking at the specs of your system and the motherboard by default, I listed the type of slot of power and expansion.

HP Pavilion Elite e9180t Desktop PC product specifications and configurable Options

Output power of power: 460 Watt

HP and Compaq desktop PC - specifications of the motherboard, IPMTB-TK (Truckee)

Two graphics PCI Express 2.0 x 16 (for graphics cards)

Go to the video card you are looking at:

    GTX 780 3072 MB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 OC Custom cooled graphics card

    Input power: 1 x 8-pin auxiliary input aux input 1 x 6-pin
    Bus type: PCI-Express 3.0 16 x

    System requirements:
Mother compatible PCI Express with a slot of chart double-width x 16
Power 600W minimum (with a minimum of 12V current rating of 42A) 3
300 MB of available disk space
2 GB of memory system (4 GB or more recommended)
Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP Operating System (32 or 64-bit)
DVD-ROM drive or Internet connection for installation
DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA compatible monitor

So on a quick inspection of both devices there are three problems, so this card will not work on your motherboard or with the current power.

    I hope this helps.

  • Request help second addition, internal hard drive [HP Pavilion Elite e9290f]

    Hello

Quick question here. I am a music producer and you can always use a ton of extra space as some of my projects are 17 to 20 GB in size. My HP e9290f comes with a stock of 1 TB Seagate (I think) internal hard drive. I intend to add this DeckStar HGST hard 4 TB (7200 RPM)

However, I am not sure, if this drive is compatible with my computer. I talked about the upgrade & maintenance manual but inside, he tells me only how to replace the current internal hard drive. The addition of this amount of space external hard drive is not an option since all my ports are used by external hard drive! Can anyone shed light on what tools I need exactly to connect this HD extra 4TB? I would appreciate your answers, because time is of the essence

    Hello

I have not tested a HDD 4 TB on the motherboard of truckee. In theory, it should work as a data reader set shaped like a GPT disk.

Another option if you don't want to take the risk is to install two hard drives of 2 TB. The one in the location empty in the cage from the hard drive and another in the optical drive Bay (if open) second.  You will need one 3.5 "to 5.25" adapter if you use the optical Bay.

Check on the return policy for the 4 TB harddrive and see if your can return/exchange it if it doesn't work.  Kit retail for Hitachi 4TB has an optional driver if the motherboard of your PC will not format the drive completely outside up to 4 TB.

  • Trying to find the plug and the power upgrade in a HP Pavilion Elite m9177c

First time posting here so I hope I chose the right place for my question.

I currently have a HP Pavilion Elite m9177c as a tempoarily computer until I can build my own. He was works fine but I found that this computer for all its good specs has only a 8500GT no idea why parent obtained through costco and gave it to use when my dell power supply gone bad and must be replaced.

So I chose an EVGA 9800 GT

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814130534

But I discovered that my HP probably has just one power 350 watts (checked online still need to open the case to be exact, before buying it) while the card requires 400 watts accoring to the details.

I tried to call HP support for dimensions and wattage supply type, but it was a chore. One guy said all the power supplies have the same size (maybe he meant the hp ones for my computer, but he never said so), another guy told me that without a guarantee that he could not even tell me the power and the third Lady said my dimensions are 9.6 inches by 9.6 inches or 24 centimeters. (do not know if she was trying to give me a microatx measure and I misunderstood the 3 as a 9 or what.) And the first guy claims it was a micro-ATX Power Supply, while the other comes from say atx.

So after some googling I found these links

    1. http://www.censuspc.com/HP-Hewlett-Packard-5188-2859-350-Watt-SIRAH-350-Replacement-Desktop-PC-Power... - this seems to be what I have but he calls it the ATX 12v version

2.http://www.911forpcs.com/5188-2859.html - this seems to be something I could go too, but I don't know if I might be better off with a full-on name brand like Corsair.

3.http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01736200 - this is a different model of Pavilion Elite but so far it looks like mine how. The same video, for some reason any does not exist on the page for my model.

I found two feeds that seem to fit the same dimensions as in link #1, but a larger 0.1 inch on a measure, but I hope that my hp case allows a slight wiggleroom.

    1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028 - a 600 watt Corsair

    2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153151 - a 530 Watt Thermaltake

Was just curious to know if anyone has better info on what exactly is in my case, and what is the best food to buy. I still intend opening the case before buying but just moved and such and call help tech kind of wore out me. I wanted to anyway just say that the computer has been much less the thing of the graphics card. Thank you

    Hello

Type HP power supply (PSU) dimensions for cabinets mid-turn are: 5.9 by 3.4 by 5.5 inches.  If you get a power supply that is longer you might have problems of space between the PSU and the optical drives.  In addition, there are a stabilizing latch that cannot secure the PSU of stirring. This is a minor issue you should aware of your PC should be buy a power supply which is longer than the typical POWER HP block.

The Corsair and both Thermaltake excellent food.  I would give the go-ahead for the CX600 Corsair ($50 after rebate) based on the cost, the total power available and the efficiency rating.

This power supply is typical for your PC based on the part number indicated by HP PartSurfer.

  • I have a Pavilion Elite m9340f. I want to update my graphics card

I have a Pavilion Elite m9340f and I was wondering if I could update my graphics card and if so what would be a good choice. Also can I upgrade my power supply?  A friend told me that I could not, because it's a computer brand, but thought I would ask someone with knowledge.  Thank you.

Robert, here is a link to the "Product information" pages for your computer:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3740326

These pages will give you all the specifications of your computer.

Yes, you can upgrade your video card.  First, you want to make sure that there is enough room for one of the new cards to fit.  You can find this information on the manufacturer's website.  I would say we could use until a 9800GT.  I think the cards are 9 "up to 10.5".  I like XFX, BFG or EVGA cards.  They are geared toward players and are of high quality.  My favorite is XFX.

Now for your power supply power supply unit (PSU).  It can also be upgraded.  the key is to open the case and measure the existing unit.  To ensure that new fits, it should be very close to the same size.  Most ATX units are pretty close to the same size.  I recommend at least a 600W unit.  This is what I have in my game rig:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817341001

Again, OCZ is a company that is geared to the players and fans.  They have very reliable products.  I have one in their PSU and memory.

One last thought, a new video card will generate more heat.  Thus, some cables will be very useful.  Simply run all cables so that they do not restrict the airflow to all components.

    I hope this helps.

  • Updated my graphics card for HP Pavilion Elite e9107c?

    Hi all

I want to update my graphics card for my computer, I can barely run settings means on most games these days, I never upgraded a computer in front of either, this was pre-built.

I am aware that the case is really small, but I'm not interested to buy a new computer/case. I want to just buy a graphics card and a power supply so I can run games like Guild Wars 2 and BF3 on medium-high settings. My computer can not handle same BF3 with resolution of 800 x 600, with windows, and graphic down, I get 10 frames per second at most out of it.

Then I would ask, what is the best graphics card that can fit in my computer? And her appropriate food to go with it?

    TECHNICAL DATA:

Computer name: HP Pavilion Elite e9107c

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200(2.33GHz)

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350

    Power: 300W

    Motherboard:

    RAM: 8 GB

    32-bit operating system - Windows 7

I am sure that all this is true, if I'm wrong, you can check online, its pre-built and I have not touched since.

I don't know what my motherboard, is the one that comes with the computer, I found this out of a site, and I think it's good, I'm not too sure:

    Motherboard - PEGATRON CORPORATION / model: 1.01 Eureka3

I know either the size of the card, or the power supply.

Whatever it is it would help a lot! My computer is already 3 years old, and I can not play games like TF2 and Skyrim above 800 x 600 with the everything low-medium settings by getting 20 + FPS.

Thanks in advance for the answers, I will add more information, if I listed those are not sufficient.

    Navibol,

Looking at your specifications and the requirements of the games you listed, BF3 is most intense.

    (1) you must measure the length available. See here

    (2) I would recommend the EVGA GTX560 or GTX560Ti, see here

    3) the minimum POWER supply: 560 suggests a 450W power supply, the 560Ti suggests 500W PSU.

I would say the Rosewill 630 or Corsair 600 . I'm the Rosewill this bias.

    Hi all!

I would like to replace the original hard drive came with my desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-500f with an SSD, but when I tried, I got the error message that my SSD drive was not big enough. The original hard drive is 1.35 TB. What size an SSD should be to replace the original CT 1.35 supplied with my HP so that I could use the 1.35 disc as my second drive and the ssd as my main drive?

    Hello

Yes I think a 240 GB SSD would be sufficient.  Using the hard drive for storage is a good idea.

These articles HOWTO HP should be useful.

You should be able to install the SSD in the existing hard drive cage as it is put into service for three hard drives.  Use a 2.5 "to 3.5" adapter.  You also need a SATA data cable.

Don't forget to create the external recovery media and backup your data.

The ASUS GTX 560 should adapt and work very well. The Antec PSU is great and very likely to have problems in the space provided. It can interfere with connections to the motherboard and push against the CD/DVD discs. Please look at the Corsair CX600 instead. It is only slightly larger than the block of power SUPPLY HP stock and is known to adapt.

  • Replace the HARD drive in the new Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t.

I'm not a professional computer, but after 30 years of use, the upgrade and repair PC home and the office, I'm embarrassed to post this thread - but here goes.  I took delivery of a few days ago the new highest indicated HP computer model in the topic of this thread.  The new computer is beautiful and everything worked perfectly from the start.  I decided after a few days to check, everything was fine and proceeded to a few pieces of hardware to transfer from my old Dell (a fairly new 1 t WD SATA HDD on which coied got a lot of data from the former count and a new BD/DVD ROM SATA optical drive).  Everything was fine once I figured out how to get these two drives in the enclosure waterproof on the new computer, but all reconnecting the SATA cable on the main came with the computer HARD disk, I broke up some pins on the HARD drive that made it of course useless SATA port.  I of course take full responsibility and do not wish to get involved with HP technical support to replace the disc - and frankly, I prefer not to put another HDD Seagate support because I prefer a 1 t Cavier Black SATA WD which I believe is one of the most reliable RESEARCH on the market right now, and I can buy it for around $200 instead of the $400 I uknderstand fresh HP for the same size of Seagate replacement.

Here's my question, can I just buy a new HDD WD and install it with my own final Win 7 x 64 without the HP recovery disks (they did not come with the new computer, and I had not yet created my own recovery disc).  Frankly I'd rather have a completely clean install of my Win 7 OS without the HP partition and other HP software on the HARD disk.  Is this possible or HP has some sort of identity with their software which must correspond with the BIOS or something like this?  REALLY, I don't want to return the computer to HP to get called into service because I just started a small business that involves a lot of video editing and I can't be without the computer for weeks, while HP is concerned with him (I've read the horror stories about the high cost of the repairs and the long repair time but I do not wish to keep my warranty if possible).

    HP Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t; 2.8 Ghz quad-core Intel i7 CPU; Intel x 58 chip; Win 7 64 bit ultimate OS. 12 G RAM;
1.8 NVIDIA GeForce GTX-260 G graphics card; HP w2338h HD widescreen LCD monitor

I have the same PC, only the model number has been changed.  Yes, you can use your own license W7 and install it on another drive or a replacement drive.  You can get the drivers from the HP site web support HPE-180 tfor your PC or other sources.

Some software manufacturers third HP is very useful, so you might want to consider ordering the HP recovery discs and make a full recovery to factory.

  • Pavilion Elite M9160F PSU & GPU Upgrade

First, I searched for hours for this information before deciding to post here...

I think that the power supply on my Pavilion Elite M9160F is bad. When the computer has been interrupted for some time (with no power connected), it takes a long time for him to return power on. Specifically, I mean that it does nothing - no green light, no beep nothing - for a minute. Then all of a sudden to get 'normally '. I've not had problems with it once running. Still I think to replace it... and I might as well hit the GPU Geforce 8600GT derisory.

I could not find detailed on the power supply specifications. I suppose that a standard ATX POWER supply will work, but I would like the conformation of someone who really knows.

As for the GPU, I thought that the upgrade only available (given the size of the case... the mini tour was a big mistake) was the Geforce 9500GT. However, on the Nvidia site it seems to be a more powerful card, the Geforce GT 220, with similar dimensions and the same connector PCI-E 2.0.

These components will work with a Pavilion Elite M9160F (the only changes to the original configuration are that I have 8 GB of RAM PC25300 and I installed Win 7 Pro 64)?  Here are the specific components that I am considering.

In addition, is 450 watts a big enough abut the original 350 watts? This computer has a small business and want enough power to run the GPU, but not so much that I regularly cause heat problems.
