HP Pavilion elite PC adding map

Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me, I recently bought a HPE - elite pavilion 575 a & I want to add a PC USB 3.0 Card would it void my warranty? If this isn't the case, any recommendation on which is the best to buy?

Thank you

Your system has three PCIe x 1 connectors to use for taste of a USB 3.0 card. Look at the cards listed as USB 3.0 on the link below.

http://www.Newegg.com/product/ProductList.aspx?submit=Ene&N=100007531%20600022031&IsNodeId=1&description=USB%203%2E0&BOP=and&order=price&PageSize=20 and read the comments for each. This does not void the warranty as long as you do not damage the computer during the installation of the new card.

Everything will be probably, but it's going to be very tight because the size of your cabinet is a small Tower.  The 470 from NVIDIA will put a lot of heat.  You may encounter some problems of movement of heat and air because of the size of your wardrobe.  Open it and take a look and see for yourself.  If you update you have to flow with the side panel or install another fan of the firm.

Food you mentioned is evaluated to 40 amps on the 12 volt bus.  EVGA GTX 470 recommends eating at least 38 amps on the bus + 12 volts.

  • Desktop Pavilion Elite 137c: SATA Interface for adding an SSD

How will I know what SATA (1, 2 or 3) that supports my Pavilion Elite 137c. I want to add an SSD that says he uses a SATA-3 interface.

    You are the very welcome.

I think it'll do the trick.

I added a 330 Intel SSD SATA III in my HP Elitebook 6930p business book, which has the Mobile Intel 4 series chipset, also SATA II controllers, and subjectively, it makes a very nice improvement upon startup and access time.

I subjectively, because I have not run before and after calibration of performance tests.

The mechanical hard drive was a high-end drive for laptop Western Digital 7 200 rpm, not a reader laptop slow poke 5 400 rpm.   I had no problem saying that the high-performance SSD.

If you put any credibility in the Windows experience index scores, the mechanical hard drive had the score 5.9 max, that you can get with a mechanical hard drive and SSD hostage up to 7.6.

  • Adding 3rd hard drive for HP Pavilion Elite m9250f

I have a Pavilion Elite m9250f running Windows Vista Home 64 bit. The computer currently has two 500 GB hard drives for a total capacity of 1 TB. I would like to add a third drive to increase storage capacity.  I have a SATA to 2 to and cables. When I tried to install the new drive above the two existing disks, he did not slide smoothly. When I removed the already highest reader, I could slide the new drive into but the screws are not line up properly with the new drive. This leads me to believe that I can not install a third drive in the Bay. Is this a correct assumption?

I have an available expansion Bay below the optical drive but am not sure that it is usable for a hard drive. If the use of the expansion Bay is possible, do I have to buy a hook or how to mount the drive in this space?

If necessary, I can copy the data from the secondary drive on an external drive and replace it with the new drive. However, I need confirmation that the secondary is the player in the foreground of both in the hard disc enclosure.

    Thank you for your help.

If the task under the existing optical Bay is open, just use an adapter to fill the space and to mount the drive in there.  Make sure of course that there is a power cord and a SATA port.

  • Adding a 3rd HARD drive to my Pavilion elite m9150f

I have a Pavilion Elite m9150f with a motherboard Asus IPIBL-LB. I have 6 sata ports, but only 4 are currently used. It has Vista Home Premium 32-bit running 2 HARD sata drive seagate 360 with a partion recovery and 2 CD/DVD players. I would add a Seagate 2 TB sata as main drive (C) both a bigger partion (posibly update of OS in the future) 20 to 25 GB for recovery (D) copied to starting from the origanal and reformat it as a temp for videos, etc. I can do this by moving the SATAS after the cloneing and move the optical drives and see MOBO them without having to make all kinds of changes to the BIOS. Thanks for any advice in doing so.

    Hello

If you have already two drives hard and two optical drives, then you will have a hard time to find a place inside the PC to secure the third hard disk.

You could try to use a 5.25 "to 3.5 adapter railsand then fix them and the hard drive down inside the PC. Another option would be to expand the two ports of the vacant motherboard to the I/O back plateand use a drive external eSATA dockthat could accommodate two hard disks that are either 2.5 "or 3.5" or a combination. That would give you great flexibility for the exchange of different hard drives while appearing that they are installed in their own country.

You should be able to use a hard drive imaging product to the new hard drive the current boot drive. If you use VISTA then I would avoid using a disc hard format model advanced unless you know for sure that the disc produced Imaging align correctly partitions. In any case, if you use VISTA then upgrade to service pack 2 and run this update Intel utility before you install the new hard drive. Utility update driver Intel Intel Driver Update Utility level Bios 5.43is the latest bios for your PC.

I use Paragon Hard Disk Manager Suite(eval copy) to make the imagery of my hard drive, but there are other products available. Macrium Reflectand Acronis are also good products.

I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps

  • How to add to my HP Pavilion Elite HPE-590uk Usb 3.0

Hi does anyone know if I can improve my HP Pavilion Elite HPE-590uk for usb 3.0 and if so could you recommend a product that I could buy to do this.  Thanks in advance.

    One of them check it:

    http://www.overclockers.co.UK/showproduct.php?ProdID=CC-003-AK

This is to use a pci-e x 1 card. You have 2 these slots available. This will show you how do:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02255267.PDF

See the section on the replacement of a card.

Instead of plugging on the long black slot which is a video card plug into one of the slots black short. You have Windows 7 I think which means that you will need a driver, but that should come on a CD with the card. Will need you a power connector (molex) on the map, too.

  • HP Pavilion Elite M9080N Nvidia 8800GTS WIN7 64-bit display problem

Help! I have a HP pavilion elite m9080n with a video card from nvidia 8800GTS installed. Recently, I noticed that when you browse Web pages parts of the page will not render properly (I have attached a screenshot in which I circled the problematic area). It's like the area is transparent and colors are not properly or to its full opacity. I have swapped with a different video card to see if that would fix the problem but it's the same thing with the current map and the replacement of the card. I also tested to see if it is the monitor using 3 different screens and it's the same result. I'm trying to understand what could be the problem. I advanced and ordered a motherboard thinking it could be something to do with the motherboard. Need help please, any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Can you explain your other post regarding this post?

Try a few different video cables and do not use adapters.

No, the GTX 950 requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  There is no way to update the motherboard in the UEFI.  Latest video cards do not for UEFI were the GTX 660/670.  I suggest that you choose a manufacturer and contact their Technical Support to help them choose the best card for your system.

You will also need to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  It is only 300W.  Most newer cards require at least 400W to work properly.  Although status map specifications at least 300 w, members reported that they had at least to 400W.

  • HP pavilion elite hpe-035sc: power supply wattage

    Hello

    I have a hp pavilion elite hpe-035sc

    Product number: VS311AA

    I7 870 2.9/8 GB ram/500 GB

power supply: 460w delta electronics dps-460 DB A (it has a connector 6 power pins)

I recently added an asus gtx 550 ti and it worked

I'm worried about the power supply, do you not think that it is enough

checked the power supply and I found:

    max power: 460w

    power combined 12va + 12vb + 12vc equal to 385 W (it does average?)

    THX

It should not be any problems with the installation at all. Just do yourself the favor of not not overclocking the card.

Delta POWER supply has enough good specs for a mainstream card like the one you have installed.

    Hi there @LeoOfMars

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking to find out if a video card is compatible with your information system. I'm happy to help you with that.

The main reasons to be sure of are normally feeding you, special (to THE) cable power supply for the graphics card, on the motherboard compatible expansion slot, the drivers for your operating system, another thing to know is the physical size of the map, for moments of cases.

Looking at the specs of your system and the motherboard by default, I listed the type of slot of power and expansion.

HP Pavilion Elite e9180t Desktop PC product specifications and configurable Options

Output power of power: 460 Watt

HP and Compaq desktop PC - specifications of the motherboard, IPMTB-TK (Truckee)

Two graphics PCI Express 2.0 x 16 (for graphics cards)

Go to the video card you are looking at:

    GTX 780 3072 MB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 OC Custom cooled graphics card

    Input power: 1 x 8-pin auxiliary input aux input 1 x 6-pin
    Bus type: PCI-Express 3.0 16 x

    System requirements:
Mother compatible PCI Express with a slot of chart double-width x 16
Power 600W minimum (with a minimum of 12V current rating of 42A) 3
300 MB of available disk space
2 GB of memory system (4 GB or more recommended)
Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP Operating System (32 or 64-bit)
DVD-ROM drive or Internet connection for installation
DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA compatible monitor

So on a quick inspection of both devices there are three problems, so this card will not work on your motherboard or with the current power.

    I hope this helps.

    1 x 8 pins, entry to aux in, 1 x 6-pin

  • Try to install USB 3.0 PCI x 1 card in a HP Pavilion Elite e9290f

Trying to install the USB 3.0 PCI x 1 card in a HP Pavilion Elite e9290f.   It is supposed to be a PCI x 1 slot and a PCI x 4 slot available for expansion.  I'm not one of these.  However, there is a very long slot just above the video card (x 32?).  Looks like that slot would host the map, but I do not see the power cables available with a male plug.  There seems to be 2 sheets of female power (red, black, black, yellow).  May need to find a male/male adapter, if these are sheets of power and of the large slot is one that I can use.  I'm setting up to use a 3 TB external drive and need to transfer about 2 TB of data.  Speed will really help.  Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hello

There should be a number on the motherboardPCI-E slots.  Any open slot should work.

Review the information displayed in this thread.  If you look at the image I posted, then you will see two different types of connectors that you have a faucet using a separator of Y.

Yes, the power is 300 watts. Minimum 400 watts are for full power to retail graphics cards. The map provided by HP was custom designed to meet the requirements of power weaker and is is not the same as a retail card. HP has traditionally used Bestec and Lite-on original UPE.

To install a gaming grade graphics card, you will need to replace your power supply. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are highly recommend and forum favorite. Further, these power supplies are only slightly larger than a block of power SUPPLY HP stock and are known to adapt. Power supply Idleness will put you back on the $50 - $75.
