I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6500 Entertainment of CTO Notebook and concerns with the installation of a hard drive again. If you keep the new larger than your original SSD and it supports Sata 5400 RPM 9.5 mm, 2.5-inch hard drives, you'll have no problems.
