HP pavilion n242se 15: problem with the BIOS software
Hello
I have HP pavilion 15-n242se and I have the problem with the software of the BIOS, because when I restart the computer it turns off completely and go back a few seconds later.
Please, I want to again software for BIOS for Windows 10 64 bit
Can you help me?
Sorry for the bad news, but HP does not update the BIOS of your PC for Windows-10.
They planned them to Win8.1, and you should have to do the upgrades at the time, BEFORE you upgraded to Win10.
The HP BIOS upgrades are OS-specific version, so now that you have upgraded, you can no longer run these.

Problem with the BIOS of the Pavilion dm4-3002sa bought in Belgium
5 months ago I bought a Pavilion dm4-3002sa (English version) in Belgium, where I live (to have a QWERTY, AZERTY keyboard like most laptops sold in Belgium). I discover now that this particular model is not recognized on the Belgian support HP web site - I could only find it on the web pages of HP UK.
A month ago I started having repeated problems (automatic stop & restart every 3-5 minutes), which indicates there is a serious problem with my BIOS. The test of memory fails.
I contacted HP support Belgian and send the laptop for repair (they said that they will replace the current memory).
HOWEVER, I have another question: If the problem is caused by an incompatibility possible download relative to the BIOS here in Belgium, while my HP laptop is clearly a UK version and not recognized as a model sold in Belgium?
If so, this means I can continue to have the same problem even after service.
Registration of the laptop as based in the United Kingdom would be a solution? (i.e. regardless of my address of residence...) So that the updates & downloads are fully compatible with this model?
A big thank you to the one who can help me!
The problem of restart is much more likely to be associated, in view of the results of the test of the memory of the memory. You should have asked to send remembrance to you, rather than send the laptop away. Memory modules can be customer replaced. It is quite easy to do.
The only real difference between having a QWERTY keypad and a QWERTY keyboard is the way the operating system sees the way in which the keyboard as being mapped when you choose the keyboard layout.
Your computer laptop dm4-3002sa is still a laptop HP Pavilion Beats Edition entertainment as well as the USA (United States (version.

Hi all
My friend recently bought an i7-720qm processor used to upgrade hp pavilion dv6 2 1 5 0 US and I
summer giving a helping hand by making the upgrade.
Since the 10 Windows running Google Chrome used up to 70% of the processing of an i3 - 330 m power
processor, it seemed to be good upgrade to improve the performance of the laptop.
We checked that the new i7 processor is compatible with the laptop (it is listed as supported by the)
( interview guide , page 108), and the seller assured us he tested the CPU on some different
HP pavilion and it worked fine.
But when I replaced the processor with the i7 processor i3 and tried to boot up the laptop, only the LED lights
on the front and the setting of the power and volume buttons would light up periodically. The screen was black
All the time.
Thinking I might have made a mistake during the reassembly of the laptop I put the original i3 processor back in
and it starts fine.
I updated the BIOS of the F.1C version I found on the internet and once replaced the i3 with the i7 with the
same results - display off, flashes periodically LEDs. The BIOS updated smoothly, and the correct version is displayed in the main menu of the BIOS.
I am confused on what could be the problem with the upgrade, everything should work. Is there a BIOS update I have
missed, or the problem elsewhere?
Disassembly and reassembly are made with care, and we took care to avoid static electricity. All the rest
on the laptop works well - I am writing this post on the laptop in question with the original i3 processor in place.
Any help, advice or general guidelines as to what should be done would be really appreciated.
Thank you for your attention.
Hello:
The problem is that if you look in Chapter 3 of the manual, pp 22-23, there are maps of separate used for the dual core and quad core processors system.
In other words, you cannot install a quad core processor in a Board that originally had a dual core processor and vice versa.

Pavilion 15-e070sl: problem with the key "cancelled."
Hi guys,.
I have some problems with the key "cancelled." It does not work for a few months. But the more serious problem is that sometimes when I double click on a file or a folder with my mouse compares the window cancellation asking me to confirm moving the file to the trash. This window disappears until I have restart the system. He thus annoyng. It seems that the key 'cancelled' suddenly to work again when I double click on something.
I hope you find a solution
With the availability!
Hi @MichaelMazz ,
Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15-e070sl and the keys does not properly. Select an on-screen keyboard layout using this document , as this could be the problem.
If this is not enough, try this document on troubleshooting the keyboard. You can watch the laptop marked key stuck section.
Here is a link to uninstall the keyboard. Restart the computer after the uninstall, it must be reinstalled automatically.
Have you tried to clean the key or use air to blow the key there could be debris in the key itself?
I hope this helps.
Thank you.

URGENT! problem with the bios to start the computer
Hello
I have a lenovo s12 notebook and I have the problem with the password of the bios. the bios was previously password protected and I wanted to get rid of it, so I opened the bios went in password management and tried to 'turn off' but apparently the system would not accept that option, while i went to the password field, then put the old password, and then I gave him 2 "drafts" enter enter since I assumed he wouldn't ask Word of past again... on windows it works like that, you put a blank password twice, and then it will not ask password again.
now it's happened, it's that the system always ask the password on the bios, I can not enter setup again because the old password does not work after installing brief loading, it accepts either a blank password, I tried the generic password for phoenix bios which seems to be "phoenix"...
should I don't have to go the hard way, open the computer and remove the cmos battery? Since it is possible to find it of course, since it is a laptop? does anyone know any other bios password "generic"? or I have seen that if you can build an external device then you can connect to the mobo and read the stored password on the mobo, but it starts to become a little too testy, I don't want to build and solder.
Anyway any help greatly appreciated please reply to my email xxxxxxxxx
Thank you very much
Gabrio

If the password that you have forgotten/badly entered or other cases... is not one that can be reset, your options are to remember the password or get the motherboard & and/or replaced hard drive.

I was offered an update of software SP77359, which seems to me to be an update of the BIOS provided by HP Support Assistant. Version F.82Ap1. Two days ago, I updated the BIOS via the support and, on the report wizard got an other update via the support Wizard. I applied this patch to find that it was still an other BIOS update and now, which has been applied this third update has appeared. Please let know us how I do.
The model number of my machine is actually N9R33EA #ABU (as reported by the Assistant to support) but ths was too long to type in the name of the product.Your laptop is a HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab208na (ENERGY STAR) for later use.
I wouldn't update. Simply click the X to remove the download and install the list in the help Wizard.
The current version on your laptop support portal is F.8.1

What can I do?BTW, I can't get into the BIOS Setup and select the source of loading (Hard, FD or CD) because I have to enter a password first.

Hey,.
Unfortunately, I don't think that an authorized service provider can help you get rid of the password because they have special tools to do and how to do it. Maybe some jumpers must be defined, but I put t know
On the Toshiba Web site, you can find a list of aspic call them and ask for help, all that s! ;)

A problem with the BIOS Probook s 4540!
I 4540 probook s laptop, two days ago, I updated the BIOS. I downloaded the BIOS from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5269095&... After that, I could not turn on my laptop. He just had white screen and Caplock light flashes 3 times. Can you help me!!!
Have you tried a RAM module in each slot or was used both slots at the same time?
RAM problems can be with the RAM itself or the RAM slots on the motherboard.
In case the POST test is false, although rare, you can try to restore the BIOS by following the steps in this document.
You will need to download Support UEFI environment to create the USB stick recovery. It can be found here.
Let me know what happens.

Pavilion g6-2306el: problems with the recovery DVD-R discs
Hello, it's only now that I saw that the DVD + R is suggested for all recovery discs burning. A little too late for me, since I bought several DVD-R to produce my game. Here is what happened: each disk has been created with difficulty; the burning process failed on all the others try. But in the end, I finally got the DVD-R 4 program have been burned and verified correctly. Now, when I tried to insert each disk to make sure that the laptop was able to read properly (the content supposed to be confirmed, after all), to my horror, I realized the first two discs were not being recognized. However, my patience was rewarded when, after a long time, suddenly, an Explorer window showing the contents of the disc. Taking advantage of the situation, I immediately copied this content in a folder on the desktop. It took me a long time to do this process for the content of the first two discs that had recognized problems. Subsequently I also copied the contents of the discs 3 and 4, which was much faster. Now, I have four folders with the corresponding content of the recovery disks in the office. The question is: can I use these content and burn on DVD + R this time, in order to have a working set of recovery disks? Thank you very much.
Hi @anthony_s
Thank you for your query.
I understand that you have created your recovery on the wrong type of DVD disc and does not work. You have copied the contents of folders on the desktop you and want to know if you can now create new recovery DVD on the appropriate type of files.
No, it will not work. I suggest that you contact HP support and inform about events and inquire about obtaining a recovery kit.
Please contact our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click on the link below to get a number of assistance for your region.
I found this link on the HP forum, that you can read, I don't know if it works or not. Please let me know if it is successful.
This is how to do a 2nd set of recovery disks.
Good luck!

Problem with the BIOS boot image
Hi - I recently updated day/flashed the BIOS of my T60 (2623-KFU) through windows by using the Setup files in the support section. I noticed the image of the characteristic changing BIOS boot and creates the Logo.Mod file that I have included in my BIOS flash. However, flashing it, I noticed that the Intel Logo (top-right) and the Lenovo Logo (right & Vertical) still exists and overlapped my custom image.
Is it possible to remove these logos so that I can have a clean design beautiful original appears at startup? I tried flashing back to nothing does not.
ThinkWiki says that you have to work with them. I didn't find a way to remove them.

HP Pavilion g7-1219wm - problem with the network controller
Hello, I have recently upgraded to Windows 8, everythings summer works well, but sometimes last night, my wifi controller not turn back and the only things I can find online about this are for Windows 7, the adapter is
Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter - and the controller is
Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller-
Ive went in Device Manager and disabled and enabled both devices, when I turned off the wifi card and enabled him once again, the light on the blue illuminated keyboard for a fraction of a second, then back to orange to turn them off, but when I disabled and then enabled the controller who did not, and I went into the bios and everything reset back to the default values and still nothing , the only thing I did is to uninstall the driver and reinstall it, have not found one for that compatible with windows 8 again, if anyone has an idea on what's happening please let me know, thanks!
Hello:
See if the windows driver 8 directly from realtek works...
Check the appropriate box (RTL8188CE) and then click on the plu blue go button the bottom of the page.
You will then be directed to the driver page where the driver of windows 8 is the second file listed on the page.
The wired network adapter... W8 is the 7th downloading listed on the page.
