I upgraded the os to my laptop HP Pavilion 15-n259tx windows 8.1(in-built) Windows 10 a few days ago. Win 10 works well. But yesterday, I noticed that there is no software for my graph RAEDON AMD (TM) HD 8670 M. card so I open the AMD website, find my graphics card software and install it. But at the end of installation, I noticed that the brightness of my screen become maximum. And I can't control it by the default keys f2 / f3. After that keys, no effect takes place. Today, I uninstalled this driver AMD RAEDON (TM). But still the problem persists. Help, please.

You don't have to put in the parts that are compatible with your system. Here is a link for your replacement options page 4-27.

You don't have to order the part from HP, but it must be compatible with your laptop.

  • Pavilion Notebook 15-ab243cl: transfer from old computer to new computer programs

We just bought a new HP Pavilion Notebook, with 10 windows, to replace its old HP Pavilion dv4-2153, which has been upgraded to Windows 10.  Now we have a problem - how to move programs and files to the new.

I found two products on the market that claim to be able to do this, but critics of both of them include some less then incounaging stories.  I hope that HP has developed some good software to do this, especially between their own products, or at least can recommend a reliable software.  They must be proud when a customer likes their products well enough to replace genre by genre.

    Any help here?

    Thank you

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your message want to migrate applications from one PC to another and wanted to help.

Sorry to disappoint you, but HP doesn't no matter what app migration software (that I know).

However, LapLink does – in its range of PC Mover of products.  The one who moves in the apps is the Pro version.

I know it works because I used it myself.

The new version, Win10, has an additional feature that you can migrate applications from an Image file.

Which means, you can make a backup of the complete picture of your old PC (and to do this, I recommend Macrium Reflect - further) a key USB or external hard drive, which will allow the new PC, install PC Mover there - and restore apps directly from the backup image.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key

You have NOW a backup of the image of the old PC - and all of the information required by PC Mover to migrate applications to the new PC.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Pavilion 15-n032sa: flickering screen on Pavilion 15-n032sa

A few days ago, the display on my laptop began to falter and disappears all together, although the backlight not working and cela worked when hooked up to a TV via HDMI. Although it is still under warranty, I decided to replace the screen myself that it wasn't worth the time and the agro to return. I unplugged the screen and plugged back in and it worked again, even though there was an occasional flicker who got a bit worse after awhile. My grandson has noticed that the display has been only to disappear when the taskbar has been present, that I have it on auto-hide. I unlocked the taskbar and moved to the top of the screen and the problem disappeared, nd until cured the issue. I replaced Windows 8 with a copy of Windows 7, about eight months ago and had no problems so far.

Does anyone have an idea if it is a hardware or software problem? I did a system restore.

    See you soon

    UPDATE:

I went back the taskbar to the bottom of the screen and, fingers crossed, all right. Looks like it was a hardware problem. I hope that his party away.

  • HP PAVILION NOTEBOOK PC - sound G6 does not work properly, "crackling".

    Hiya,

The laptop was having problems, so I nuked it and reformat the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit. I downloaded the drivers for audio here - http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-g6-1200-notebook-pc-series/5145704/model... I didn't know that was what I wanted for the sound itself for the speakers, so I downloaded each, uninstalled the previous until I had some kind of result, the one who gave me a result was "IDT high definition CODEC. When I click on test in reading, she sometimes plays nothing but another time parts of the carillon will play and cut, in a sort of crackling. Videos YouTube do not seem to want to play either, so pilots himself seems to have installed, but obviously it does not work as expected, so I'm stumped on how to fix it. Little help would be much apprechiated.

Since I am from a tech background, I think that its in my best interest to give the same kind of help that I would see when I googled these questions.

Many thanks to @Dvortex who, in a different thread, gave this advice, which totally fixed my problem. I hope this helps someone coming through this.

Go to Device Manager (you can give a right click on the windows logo on the lower left corner of your screen and select Device Manager from the list)

Now to maximize the "audio, video, and game controllers" in the list. You will see the audio driver. Right click on "IDT high definition audio CODEC" / "Realtek audio CODEC" and select "Update driver software".

Choose "Browse my computer for driver software" - choose "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

Select "High Definition Audio Device" (not IDT high def... or Realtek High Def... This is important) and click Next. You get a warning message but answer 'yes '.

Once windows have updated driver software, try to play the audio again and check.
