HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p247: victory of Downgrade 8.1 for win 7

Hi all

Straight on the question - I was wondering if it is possible to downgrade my HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p247sa (ENERGY STAR) for Wndows 7 - currently it uses Windows 8.1

My main concerns are:

-is the productivity of my laptop using windows 7 will be the same as windonws 8.1 or slower?

-will I find drivers for my machine under win 7?

Thanks in advance )

Hello:

Here's the rest of the drivers you need.  You don't need those where there was! brands next to devices.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p247: I can't update my display driver intel

My display driver intel continues to crash, reboot and make the computer freezes.

When I use HP Support Assistant, I see not all the drivers on the update tab.

When I use the HP website to download graphics drivers, there are two of them, and they both are not compatible with my computer.

So, how can I stop my computer from freezing?

    Hello:

Ok.. I see now the 2nd driver Intel graphics... This is the one you want.  The other is for portable computers with Pentium processors.

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    File name: sp69623.exe

Since you have already run this driver and it didn't work, let's try the following...

In Device Manager, expand display adapters, right-click the Intel HD graphics card and select "Update Driver Software".

In the next window, select "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

In the next window, click on the button "Floppy", then go to C:\SWSetup\sp69623\Graphics\ and left click on the 103633.inf file to select it and then click Open.

Click 'Ok' and then click 'Next' and see if the pilot goes like this.

One when you're done, click on 'Close' and then click 'Yes' to restart the laptop.

You can also try this method even with the latest Intel graphics driver for your laptop directly from the Intel site, if the driver above fails to solve the problem.

    Use the 64-bit zip file.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/26078/Intel-graphics-driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=86210

The only variation to the above procedure would be to right click on the zip file of Intel graphics driver, select extract all in the list and select the igdlh64.inf file in the images folder.

This process has worked for another Member of the forum with the graphics card Intel HD 4400 and W8.1.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-g198: site not to raise drivers for laptop

When I try to get drivers to download from the HP Web site is broken and does not work for me.

    http://support.HP.com/ca-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-17-G100-notebook-PC-series/8499304/model...

I put in windows and 10 64-bit, and nothing happens.  Tried FF, IE, both on windows machine 7.

    Thank you

I know that HP has designed Web pages to work with IE10, IE11.  They will not work with any earlier version of Internet Explorer.

I contacted HP and asked why they did that, given that the new installations of Vista and W7 include older versions of IE and how can you install the drivers if webpages do not accept the old versions.

They said that they would not bring changes to the current arrangement.

So, if you are running W7 with IE10/11, unfortunately, I wouldn't know why support pages do not work.

I recommend in this case, you use your W10 PC, go to the support page for the portable W7 you need drivers for, change the operating system to W7 in the drop down menu, plug in a USB flash drive in your PC, download and save the drivers you need from the flash player and install it on your PC W7 needing drivers.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-ab083T: laptop upgraded before even starting for the first time = problem?

    Hello!

I recently bought this laptop with the intention to replace the hard drive (1 TB HDD 120 GB SSD), as well as upgrading the ram from 8 GB to 16 GB. The problem is that I have improved these things before you start for the first time. And now it complains that it cannot find a device boot, even when I insert a USB key with windows 10 iso on it. Or a cd with windows XP. He needs to have the HDD windows 8.1 original in it on first commissioning? It took a while to replace parts...

    Thanks in advance.

That's very true, I used gparted before checking this again, and it was corrupted. Very well! I ended up installing windows 10 home using a free student license. It's perfect, since I have windows 8.1 before running on the 1 TB hard drive and it was filled with bloatware, thanks to HP (no offense). So, it is nice to have a clean install. Everything works fine now, I had to change some settings of 'Legacy Boot' in the bios to boot from the USB.

  • Issue of volume control after downgrading A210-1AS for Win XP

    Hey all,.

I recently upgraded my satellite A210-1AS to xp and after sorting more things, including the audio drivers, wireless, etc, I have some problems (surprise, surprise)

    1. the sound adjustment on the front wheel can't control the volume, although it worked fine in Vista.
DD realtek audio Manager is installed fine, AFAIK. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

    2. the buttons on top to control the media work more (toshiba easykeys?).
Are there drivers for these that everyone found for XP?

    3. (and I'm not too fussed on) there are 3 yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager.
    1. I believe is the modem, which I am not at all worried, the other 2 I do not know. Any ideas?

Thank you very much for the replies, would be nice to sort. Although I could use volume control in xp, it is not ideal, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Will check in the morning, thanks again

    Hi Joshua

I m the owner of the Satellite A210. This laptop is similar to the Equium A210.
I installed a Windows Vista and XP on the second partition and I have the sound and the sound volume control works very well with both operating systems.

But I had a little problem with the installation of driver sound. After a short investigation here in the forum, I discovered that I need to first install MS patches; KB888111 and KB835221.
After installing the patch, I installed the Realtek audio driver. It worked like a charm.

    (2) control buttons doesn't work on my laptop because I have an A210 with the AMD processor and chipset and XP from Toshiba Utilities for my series are not available.

    (3) I have 2 yellow exclamation marks in my device manager. The modem works because I installed the modem driver from an another series of notebook A210. The driver also works.
Two other unknown devices ("possibly PCI memory controller" or "Mass Storage Controller) may be linked to the material that is only supported by Windows Vista and not XP. Therefore, the XP drivers don t exist also.

    Good bye

  • downgrade Win8 home for Win 7

After a few months of sporadically trying to access a Microsoft Account or the store on my Dell Inspiron 660 without success (with some 1,000 others Win8 according to M.S. Articles), more its incompatibility with * all * of my external audio interfaces USB despite the driver updates, the time has come to downgrade to Win7 from Win8 preinstalled host.  I guess the software is the problem as long as the hardware works fine otherwise and everything will work in Win7.

So, the issue will be any retail version of Windows 7, for example. at Amazon, being 100% compatible with this machine, or is there some stuff with the bios that would need fixing.  It's a Dell configured with Win7 version to buy.

There is not a Dell of Windows 7 version to purchase.  Dell Windows 7 media differs from Microsoft media it activates automatically when it is installed on a Dell computer that is eligible, and it has some elements of customization (background/user images, logo support, etc.).

A 'detail' key and the included media will be fine.

You can find drivers Windows 7 x 64 for the 660 here:

  • Preloaded victory 8 machine low leveled for win 7

I recently bought a HP Envy H8 PC, which came loaded with Windows 8. I'm fighting it since the first day and I complained about that as well. I heard that some of the major computer manufacturers are coming up with a Windows 7 operating system that are compatible with computers to win 8. What it does is to keep your data intact but backsteps of the Windows 7 operating system. Is this true for HP computers? If this is the case, where can I get this software disc? Earlier, I can get this software I will be the happiest.

I experimented by popping a chip in the drive and it reads the chip just fine, just does not appear on the page unless a chip is in a slot and it is being read. Its kind of strange.

On the device page it shows as portable devices and showing the right type of chip such as SD/MMC, etc: I think I can live with that.

Except that everything seems to work very well.

Thanks a lot for your help me to get through this. If you have any questions for me do not hesitate to ask.

  • p189sa: HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p189sa Downgrade from Windows 7

    Hello

I bought this laptop HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p189sa with little window 8.1 64.

I didn't know the poor performance and 8.1 window issues.

Although I tried this OS, I want to downgrade to a reliable operating system and best quality.

    Why change?

-L' network wifi icon is not working properly, when I change the network disables it in itsalf and it is impossible to solve it it then I have to restart the laptop.

    -L'interface is orrible

-Sometimes the phone takes hours before turning off or I never turn off

It is longer so the reasons why I want to change this OS not usable and hostile.

The downgrade problem is drivers that are not available on the hp Web site.

Can I use the drivers wind8 for wind7?

Maybe a program can adapt to drivers for wind7?

I am not able to develop pilots by myself so what do you suggest?

    Hi Paul,.

I installed the Realtak you gave me and Bluetooth works properly now.

Just to let you know that the Synaptics on the repo of hp drivers cause a crash on wind7. I used the drivers on their site here .

The laptop looks good for today, I'll do some tests of regression during these days.

Thank you Paul for you support.

    Kind regards

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p100dx downgrade from windows 7

Hi, Im Colt and I recently bought a HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p100dx and it came with windows 8.1 I use windows 7 at work and at present cannot install my Flash drive because of the way the drive is partioned to 8.1 will need drivers for windows 7 for this motherboard and chipset.  And need to know how to get to startup command propt before entering Windows I think.  Can someone please.  Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I just bought this laptop and downgraded it to win7.

1st thing you need to do is boot to the BIOS (f10)

In the bios, you must turn on then save (f10)

Start (f9) to the Startup menu.

Select (usb or dvd) boot device

Custom, install and remove all partitions

    Then install win7

Too far than go to drivers, it took me a lot of research to find each other.

I now have a backup of all drivers if you need.

I am currently going through the process of making all the windows updates.

I'll post a link later when I get home for drivers

Win7 works a lot on this laptop.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download Realtek HD Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72139.exe

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R

In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

In Device Manager, expand sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72043.exe

When the reinstallation of Chipset has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, reboot the laptop and let windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.
