  This could be a hardware problem, but it is always worth trying the following.

  Open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand keyboards, "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" right click and select uninstall.

  When you are finished, stop the laptop - if you're running Windows 8 or 8.1, do it by holding down the button SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

  Then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Hi, I got the HP Pavilion dm4-1064dx for my birthday and I formatted and installed Windows 7 Enterprise Edition x 64. I installed the sound, graphics and chipset drivers from the Web site. But I can't get my wifi to work again. I tried to off the drivers wireless for my laptop for downloads & drivers but nothing has worked. I tried to find HP Wireless Assistant, but I was not abe to find and I do not know if my problem that will be solved. If anyone knows what I can do to fix this please.

  Hello, I downloaded the HP Wireless Assistant you posted, and when I go to run it I get this message "this version of HP Wireless Assistant is not supported on this model. I also entered my Services and have started and that the startup type for Wired AutoConfig and WLAN autoconfiguration service is set to automatic.   I solved the problem. I went into the bios and seems that my wireless card is a Broadcom as the FCC ID presented themselves as QDS-BRCM1050... that Google identified as a Broadcom BCM94313HMG2L. However, HP does not have the correct drivers for this card on the site. Here is the link for the correct driver http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...s&lc=en&dlc=en. I also installed the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver and now my wireless works perfectly.

  Hello:

  I zipped and attached to the driver that you are interested in below...

  Download and uncompress the file in its folder.

  Don't do anything with the files in the folder.

  Go to Device Manager and click on the device ACPI\VEN_ASD & DEV_0001 who need the pilot.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

  Restart the PC.

  I'm sorry that you run into this problem of fan. It is perhaps more accurate to search by part number of the fan. It is 680551-001. This is page 23 of your Maintenance and Service of Guide.

  You may be able to find a 3rd party that will be available to the Mongolia. HP parts store is $32,21 but, unfortunately, they can only ship in the United States and the Canada. If you had a friend or a member of his family to the United States, you can have shipped it to them and that they could in turn send it to you.

  I stumbled across a big problem I got it;
  I recently bought a brand new Asus Geforce GTX 750Ti to replace my old Asus Radeon HD 6670.
  When I replaced the card and turned on the computer the screen blue hp come, made the beep to indicate installation of drivers or something and then a black screen with a flashing underscore white.

  I know this isn't food as my diet works very well with the 6670 because it requires a minimum 450w power supply and the 750 Ti requires a minimum of 400w
  I did a 6pin adapter plugin.
  I have uninstall my drivers that were previously installed by my old radeon card.
  After that I saw that it did not work on the new graphics card, I tried again and found that it works perfectly.
  There is no update of the BIOS for my model of what I see.

  Anyone know what I can do?

  I got this laptop PC in 2012, it is a series of G7, I'm pretty sure. My problem is that when I turn the computer off and turn it back on, there is no option to open the menu of the bios (esc) or any option besides. Just a symble blue HP directly in the middle of the screen with a symbol of little loading below him. I pressed ESC, f1 - f10 and virtually all other keys to try to access it. What I really want to do is to disable most annoying f1 - f12 function keys.

  I'm no longer under warranty and my operating system is Windows 8.  There is also no error at all, just no response what that's right don't charge up to login password screen.

  I see that you are looking to access the BIOS of your laptop Pavilion. You can't access BIOS in the same way on Windows 8, because you have a faction of a second to get the right timing because of the quick loading of Windows 8 feature. This third party link will show you how to access the UEFI that will lead to the BIOS. You can also do it from the Windows 8 login screen as this Microsoft link will show.
