HP Pavilion Slim

A few days ago bought the model of PC a.m. s3720f. and already had several problems with Vista or what ever.

I sent my old XP system computer to my e-mail and attachments with a document I need urgently working on it. However cannot open it.

The system gives me options back to translate into foreign languages.

What can I do? Thanks in advance

I have had no response from you yet but I experience more problems with Vista, as impossible to print files in my brother 440CN, you could not represent HP but I'm telling you right now that will return this PC and the rest of the parafernalia bought Comp USA.

  • S52060f Pavilion Slim Line: how create a set of recovery disks is service pack 1 burn on the disc

    Hello

No problems with one of my desktop windows 7 but have some questions and concerns.   Outside my thin line, I have 2 other computers hp windows 7.  They are p6510T CTO Desk Top clubhouse and Pavilion HPE H8m Desk Top.   I created my own set of recovery for each computer cd.   When I created the recovery discs, I don't remember if my computer came with service pack 1 preinstalled by buying them directly at Hp.     My first question is this.   Do plant purchased hp computers come with service pack 1 already preinstalled.

Next question.   If they do and the recovery discs that I burned for each service pack 1 image, too, be burned on the disks.   Finally.   Is there a limit to the way in which many times can I use my recovery by computer disks.

You place your order of recovery disks is not possible that they are discontinued.   I also undertand after reloading windows I can load the service pack 1 back when running a windows update.   But it is easier to have service pack 1 already imaged on any set of recovery disks.   If some can please please point this out.    Thank you.

If you create recovery discs when you got the computers, you can use them as many times as you want as long as they continue to work.  SP1 would not be included.  I don't think that they were not in what you received initially.  They come through Windows Update, see the center of update and the Service Pack

The model s52060f turns out to be incorrect, please confirm.  The number of HPE H8m is incomplete, shall be read as

  • Dumping Vista to XP in Pavilion s3600v (office slim) - how to install

Technical support HP told me after 2.5 hours there is an incompatibility between my PRTR laser (HP 1300 & 1150) and the printer drivers for Vista.  Since I also spent the $170 for the extended support tech kit, I was annoyed.  Looks like the only way I can save what I want to do is dump Vista and install XP on the new Pavilion s3600v.

Need: install a printer parallel port card in the Office to continue to use of old old office program accounting requiring ms - dos to print; Therefore, parallel printer and XP need (or more) operating system. Use Acronis software for cloning vista.  Determine how

    1. remove Vista;

    2 find out if the hardware will work with XP and where to get xp software drivers necessary;

    3. the Protocol or the order of the xp on the office installation process.

4 xp would describe the warranty by HP of the Office.

5 advice re re-installation of vista if you wish at a later date.

It sounds like more work that I want to take, but I think I can do it.  Key question is if all the components of the s3600v will work ok with XP and drivers available... and if the guarantee is irreversibly affected?

I am a user with intermediate knowledge/experience - although I've used computers since Apple built them!   But that the experience of old time isn't going to help a lot with this Vista OS. Thanks for the help!

  • Update of power supply for HP Pavilion 500-056

I want to upgrade to a discrete graphics card, but the 300 watt PSU is not enough.  It is not one of the standard sizes such as ATX12V, EPS12V, SFX12V (small footprint), LFX12V (low profile form factor), or TFX12V (slim form factor).

Does anyone know of a specific diet that can fit in my computer case?  Without my ability to be upgraded will be severely compromised.

According to the specs of HP Pavilion 500-056 desktop PC product page, your computer uses a power SUPPLY ATX12V PSU which is 150 x 140 x 86 mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) in size. Please consider replacing it with a Corsair CX500, CX600, CX500M, or CX600M depending on your graphics card needs.

What is it? Your machine supports only the cards wireless on the manual next (page 6):

It was built before 2015, so a chance to have a different wirless card is very slim. Does not work.

    You have a hardware issue.

I bought a laptop HP Pavilion 15 - HP Pavilion 15 p051sq (ENERGY STAR) (J7U16EA) - last year and he has a very good hardware configuration

    Intel® Core™ i5-4210U, 1.7 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores CPU with integrated video Intel HD 4400.

    8 GB SDRAM DDR3L, 1600 MHz (1 x 8 GB),

As you may have noticed, my question is the ugly resolution there is this Panel of HP laptop: led display 15.6 '' HD BrightView to 1366 x 768 max.

Can someone suggest a replacement with higher resolution Panel?

Energy consumption is not an issue here, as the laptop only stays at home in the area.

Alternatively, can anyone suggest how to contact HP by telephone or to recommend a contact HP support, I can call for directions to solve this?

I understand that you're looking to replace or update the display on your portable computer. I'm happy to help you with this.

I understand the owner's manual as a reference, because it shows the replacement components supported for the series of laptops.

HP laptop Pavilion 17 Notebook PC HP Pavilion 15 PC - Maintenance and Service Guide

In this guide, you will find the following options available for 15.6 "screens which the third party only has a capacity of higher resolution:

15.6 "HD WLED BrightView (1366 x 768) flat (3.6 mm) SVA (for nontouch SKU only) available for Windows 8.1 and Windows 7

15.6 "HD WLED (1366 x 768) anti-glare flat (3.8 mm) SVA (for touch SKU only)

  • Pavilion 550-110: help adding Blu - Ray desktop player

I would like to replace the existing DVD drive (tray ultra slim SuperMulti DVD burner) on a Pavilion 550-110 desktop PC with a Blu - ray player.

The existing unit is mounted vertically in the case. I replaced the DVD drive with a Blu - ray on a HP PC 500-281 player, where it has been mounted horizontally.

If this same blu - ray player could be reused on the new 550-110?

If this isn't the case, please suggest a particular (or brand) type of Blu - ray player-player. I used to look first on Amazon.com for this type of product.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Please see this related thread... looks like the same configuration.

  • 550-142d Pavilion: the change of graphics card BIOS update

    Hello

I have a Pavilliion 550 - 142d I want to update to provide a better gaming experience. The map pre-installed in the Pavilion is 730 GT that does not happen at the end of game.

The graphics card, I intend to buy is the GTX950 or GTX 1060.

I did the necessary research on upgrading the graphics card.  But I discovered only recently that I need update the BIOS when changing the GPU.

What are the precautions or steps I have to take in what concerns the updated BIOS to support the new graphics card?

I just finished replacing my PSU 550w successfully today. The only problem I encountered was that I didn't have a slim-SATA to power the built-in DVD player. I intend to get an adapter SATA slim finally.

I will proceed to the graphics card vendor soon, please advise me on the supported BIOS I knew HP has an integrated program to monitor and update a driver accordingly. As such, I worry if the GPU card support is in place. Currently, I don't have any other NVIDIA program installed to update the GPU card.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Thank you for your concerns.

I raised my BIOS to version A0.13 (Dec 2015) and the latest version is A0.16 (August 2016).

I need to update the BIOS before or after changing the component?

As I predicted to change the GPU, my only question is if I have a correct display of the monitor if I were to run the update after the upgrade. Please notify.

    Thank you for your help.
