HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-One gives the HP Solution Center error
Hello
I have a HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-One printer. I also have a laptop HP Compaq Presario CQ60 with Vista. These two are under the age of one year.
I just used the ink contained in the supplied start with my printer ink cartridges, so I replaced the. The problem that I was going on even before I replaced the cartridges.
When I run the HP Solution Center, it says at the top:
"HP Photosmart series C4400
Disconnected! »
When I click on the Toolbox, it gives me an error will appear: "the computer is unable to establish two-way communication with the device.
Well, it is certainly connected and it prints, copies and scans very well. I'm used to be able to check on my ink level. Now, the solution Center think my printer is not yet connected.
Any ideas?

Please, try the steps in this guide, printer not found during Network Driver Setup (Windows). If this does not resolve the problem, maybe try scanning without HP software. Scanner without software HP (Windows 7).

Curiously, the problem has now been resolved by changing the ink cartridges HP with a new set of HP ink cartridges.

Impossible to analyze using Photosmart C4480 all-in-One
I use the Photosmart C4480 all-in-One on a Mac, 10.6.8. Impression always worked without problem but digitization has never worked. Today, I realized that the software provided with the printer is by OS 10.5 (HP Scan Pro always gave me an 'unknown error' popup). I downloaded version 10.6 on the HP site and installed on the old software. I opened the new HP Scan, select a profile and press Scan and the program froze and I had to force quit. I tried several times and it kept happening. The all-in-one has a screen where you can scan a computer to the unit, and I tried that as well. The program "Open in Preview" open on my computer, and the screen on the all-in-one read "Scanning" for a short time but then returned to the menu analyze. Nothing happened on my computer or the scanner. I decided to uninstall all the HP software and reinstall version 10.6, where crushing the 10.5 version had caused these problems, but after doing so I got the same results scanning HP and analysis on the all-in-one. Thanks a bunch if you can help!
If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD that is not marked as compatible with the 10.6/10.7 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finishDownload and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
Restart your Mac.
Now reset the printing system:
-Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!Finally, download and install the latest software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

Why my HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-One printing after I removed a paper jam not?
When printing, I added paper into the tray paper, and the rollers grabbed the entire stack of paper. The printer has stopped, noting "paper jam". I removed the stack of paper in the printer, and now it won't print at all. (HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-One)

My photosmart C4480 all-in-one needs a new cord as the current no longer matches the printer tight enough. I have to hold the cord in the right position in order to print anything at all. How can I get a new power cord?
Do you need a power cord or the power module? The cord is a standard element that can be found in any computer or Radio Shack. The module is part number 0957-2231 as appearing on the HP Site's Partsurfer.

HP Photosmart c4480 all-in-One scan error
I just plugged the device and ran tests and everything was good, but when I clicked the button for scanning to pc I get this message: parse error. try scan from computer or see the documentation. I can scan some software on the computer except PaintShop. I get an error message with this one, but I want to be able to do the scan of the device, as advertised with a click.
I had to contact HP by Cat to fix mine. Uninstall/reinstall did for me. It turns out that the HP Solution Center has not been installed on mine.

The HP Solution Center error message
I want to use the scanner on all-in-one printer, HP Officejet 5610. I am running Windows 7 (64-bit). When I select HP Solution Center it says that I'm not running the latest version of Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer. It will not work until I update to the latest version. However, when I update I can't launch the videos sent to my email, so I was advised to uninstall and revert to a previous version. How can I get the HP Solution Center to run without upgrading to the latest Adobe Flash Player. BTW, my favorite browser is Mozilla.
I hate to say this, but you can't. Center solution requires the latest version of Flash Player to run. I don't know why HP has designed this way, but you need the it or any buttons. I'm sorry.

Installation of the HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-one - code 15471570 error condition
I had all types of problems to install my all-in-one device - uninstall IE8 beta helped me move forward 3 steps of progress 4 installation, but now I get the following error message:

Thanks to your advice and did the following
- I did a complete uninstall of the software ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software4/COL8988/mp-24061-2/gr_uninst.exe
- Register to reinstall
- and ran this ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software4/COL9076/oj-24444-2/AccessDeniedUtility_1_3_4.exe
reinstalled the software but instead to use easy installation has made a breakthrough and only installed the necessary software, once it succeeded I then ran the entire upward and installed other software.
Scanner, printer and copier now work yay
now just need someone to tell me how to check this post as a success

HP PHOTOSMART C4480 All in One
I replaced the old cartridge with a new one and the printer would not accept. The message was - is
(a) cartridge incompatible (even if it was the same as the former) or
(b) poorly installed cartridge.
With the help of two other members of the family, used for this printer, the cartridge was accepted and I was able to print 15 copies successfully until the printer started to play up again - as in (a) and (b) above.
Please can anyone suggest what I can do next to get the printer to operate?

'New' (to me at least) Photosmart c4480 all-in-One
I just took a lightly used HP Photosmart c4480. The family that bought provided all the documents provided with the printer. as well as the installation CD. The original receipt dated 21/10/08. As it was before the release of Windows 7, the installation CD refers only Widows XP and Vista.
Can I use this CD to install the printer? Can I find drivers that will make this unit operate within the Windows 7 platform?

I have a HP; hotosmart C6150 all-in-One printer. My magenta ink cartridge ran out of ink. Several days passed and I would like to select print using only black ink cartridge. Download "Scan Failure" every time a computer is turned on. Printer works. No unit will analyze. Software (HP Solution Center) will run the scans, but the device will not be. Must be a hardware problem with the scanner? Have uninstalled, reinstalled software and drivers. Updated everything that can be updated. Recently moved to computer XP again computer Win7 and the same problem on two BONES. Would be willing to take it apart to replace the parts.
You can try the steps in this document to clear the error scanner, but normally, if your getting this message, it's the end of the line for the scanner. I'm sorry.
